Nanofiltration(NF)membranes as high selective separators are appealing for molecular sieving,which still remains a great challenge for the mixed dyes with same charge.In this study,cellulose acetate(CA)membranes were firstly aminated by ethylene imine polymer(PEI),and then the thin film of metal organic frameworks(MOFs)were constructed onto aminated CA membrane through forward-diffusion,slow crystallization and in situ growth of Fe Co-Prussian blue(FeCo-PB)crystallization layers.The designed PB@CA composite NF membrane shows an ideal rejection for Congo red(CR)/methyl orange(MO)mixture solution,with 99.7%±0.2%for CR and 33.5%±2%for MO.In addition,the composite NF membrane demonstrated good efficiency for photocatalytic degradation of organic fouling(permeability recovery ratio was up to 92%)due to the active FeCo-PB micro-cubes.Thus,this work provides a practical strategy to prepare MOFs mediated thin film composite nanofiltration membrane for precise molecular sieving and catalytic antifouling performances.

A new microreactor with continuous serially connected micromixers(CSCM)was tailored for the coprecipitation process to synthesize Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles.Numerical simulation reveals that the two types of CSCM microchannels(V-typed and U-typed)proposed in this work exhibited markedly better mixing performances than the Zigzag and capillary microchannels due to the promotion of Dean vortices.Complete mixing was achieved in the V-typed microchannel in 2.7 s at an inlet Reynolds number of 27.Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles synthesized in a planar glass microreactor with the V-typed microchannel,possessing an average size of 9.3 nm and exhibiting superparamagnetism,had obviously better dispersity and uniformity and higher crystallinity than those obtained in the capillary microreactor.The new CSCM microreactor developed in this work can act as a potent device to intensify the synthesis of similar inorganic nanoparticles via multistep chemical precipitation processes.

Due to the lower operating voltage and higher theoretical specific capacity,tin phosphide is considered a class of materials with prospects as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).Among them,tin monophosphide has attracted people's attention due to its unique layered structure.Unfortunately,because of the challenging synthesis method and metastable nature,the application of SnP is limited.In this work,tin phosphide/carbon nanotubes(SnP/CNTs)are prepared by controlling the nucleation and adjusting the ratio of phosphorus/carbon using carbon nanotube as initiator.Sn-MOF is used as a template to make the morphology of SnP more evenly,and carbon nanotubes can also be used as a conductive network to increase the speed of electron transmission.As an anode material for LIBs,SnP/CNTs reveals superior rate performances(reversible capability of 610 mA·h·g^(-1)at 2000 mA·g^(-1)).The full-cell was assembled and tested,after 50 cycles at 0.1 C,the capacity can maintain 292 mA·h·g^(-1),and its capacity retention rate can reach 80.5%.After 230 cycles,its capacity can maintain at around 223 mA·h·g1.In addition,SnP/CNTs materials exhibit 89%pseudocapacitance contribution upon cycling,which indicates the robust Lit storage and satisfactory fast-charging capability.Hence,SnP/CNTs suggests a promising anode material for energy storage system.

Fungal pathogens represent a major group of plant invaders that are the causative agents of many notorious plant diseases. Large quantities of RNAs, especially small RNAs involved in gene silencing, have been found to transmit bidirectionally between fungal pathogens and their hosts. Although host-induced gene silencing （HIGS） technology has been developed and applied to protect crops from fungal infections, the mechanisms of RNA transmission, especially small RNAs regulating trans- kingdom RNA silencing in plant immunity, are largely unknown. In this review, we summarize and discuss recent important findings regarding trans-kingdom sRNAs and RNA silencing in plant-fungal pathogen interactions compared with the well-known RNAi mechanisms in plants and fungi. We focus on the interactions between plant and fungal pathogens with broad hosts, represented by the vascular pathogen Verticillium dahliae and non-vascular pathogen Botrytis cinerea, and discuss the known instances of natural RNAi transmission between fungal pathogens and host plants. Given that HIGS has been developed and recently applied in controlling Verticillium wilt diseases, we propose an ideal research system exploiting plant vasculature-Verticillium interaction to further study trans-kingdom RNA silencing.

Immunotherapy brings new hope for tumor treatment by inducing immunogenic cell death(ICD)of tumor cells.However,insufficient immunogenicity and low immune response rate greatly limit antitumor immunity.Herein,by optimizing the composition and morphology,the rational design of Janus nanoparticles composed of Fe_(3)O_(4) nanospheres and SiO_(2)nanorods was realized for enhanced cancer immunotherapy through amplified ICD.After glucose oxidase(GOx)was loaded by the Janus nanoparticles,the resultant M-FS-GOx consumes glucose at tumor sites to generate gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))for starvation therapy while the H_(2)O_(2)supply promotes the production of highly toxic·OH to achieve effective chemodynamic therapy(CDT).Under a 1064 nm light irradiation,the photothermal effect of M-FS-GOx enhances the enzyme activity of GOx for improved starvation therapy.Furthermore,both tumor-associated antigens released during the process of ICD and the intrinsic immunoadjuvant property of M-FS-GOx stimulate dendritic cell maturation to activate antitumor immune responses.This work provides a promising strategy for the construction of Janus nanoparticles to achieve enhanced cancer immunotherapy through combination therapy-amplified ICD.

Natural gas hydrate(NGH)is generally produced and accumulated together with the underlying conventional gas.Therefore,optimizing the production technology of these two gases should be seen as a relevant way to effectively reduce the exploitation cost of the gas hydrate.In this study,three types of models accounting for the coexistence of these gases are considered.Type A considers the upper hydrate-bearing layer(HBL)adjacent to the lower conventional gas layer(CGL);with the Type B a permeable interlayer exists between the upper HBL and the lower CGL;with the type C there is an impermeable interlayer between the upper HBL and the lower CGL.The production performances associated with the above three models are calculated under different conditions,including only a depressurized HBL(only HBL DP);only a depressurized CGL(only CGL DP);and both the HBL and the CGL being depressurized(HBL+CGL DP).The results show that for Type A and Type B coexistence accumulation models,when only HBL or CGL is depressurized,the gas from the other layer will flow into the production layer due to the pressure difference between the two layers.In the coexistence accumulation model of type C,the cumulative gas production is much lower than that of Type A and Type B,regardless of whether only HBL DP,only CGL DP,or HBL+CGL DP are considered.This indicates that the impermeable interlayer restricts the cross-flow of gas between HBL and CGL.For three different coexistence accumulation models,CGL DP has the largest gas-to-water ratio.

The revolutionary role of tissue adhesives in wound closure,tissue sealing,and bleeding control necessitates the development of multifunctional materials capable of effective and scarless healing.In contrast to the use of traditionally utilized toxic oxidative crosslinking initiators(exemplified by sodium periodate and silver nitrate),herein,the natural polyphenolic compound tannic acid(TA)was used to achieve near instantaneous(90%bacterial death upon near-infrared(NIR)irradiation).In vivo evaluation in both an infected full-thickness skin wound model and a rat skin incision model demonstrated that 3A-TCMBAs+NIR treatment could promote wound closure and collagen deposition and improve the collagen Ⅰ/Ⅲ ratio on wound sites while simultaneously inhibiting the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines.Further,phased angiogenesis was observed via promotion in the early wound closure phases followed by inhibition and triggering of degradation&remodeling of the extracellular matrix(ECM)in the late stage(supported by phased CD31(platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1)PDGF(platelet-derived growth factor)and VEGF(vascular endothelial growth factor)expression as well as elevated matrix metalloprotein-9(MMP-9)expression on day 21),resulting in scarless wound healing.The significant convergence of material and bioactive properties elucidated above warrant further exploration of 3A-TCMBAs as a significant,new class of bioadhesive.
