Crohn’s disease(CD)is caused by immune,environmental,and genetic *** can involve the entire gastrointestinal tract,and although its prevalence is rapidly increasing its etiology remains *** biological and small-molecule drugs have advanced the treatment of CD;however,a considerable proportion of patients are non-responsive to all known *** achieve a breakthrough in this field,innovations that could guide the further development of effective therapies are of utmost *** this review,we first propose the innovative concept of pan-lymphatic dysfunction for the general distribution of lymphatic dysfunction in various diseases,and suggest that CD is the intestinal manifestation of pan-lymphatic dysfunction based on basic and clinical preliminary *** supporting evidence is fully summarized,including the existence of lymphatic system dysfunction,recognition of the inside-out model,disorders of immune cells,changes in cell plasticity,partial overlap of the underlying mechanisms,and common gut-derived fatty and bile acid *** benefit of this novel concept is that it proposes adopting the zebrafish model for studying intestinal diseases,especially CD,as this model is good at presenting and mimicking lymphatic *** importantly,the ensuing focus on improving lymphatic function may lead to novel and promising therapeutic strategies for CD.

Fluorite REE characteristics of the Diyanqinamu Mo deposit,Inner Mongolia, China

The Diyanqinamu Mo deposit, a newly discovered porphyry deposit in the northern-central part of the Great Xing'an Range, Inner Mongolia, China, is characterized by widely distributed fluorite. It is important to note that almost all the fluorite that is paragenetic with molybdenite is purple. The Tb/Ca–Tb/La ratios of these purple fluorite samples show that they have a hydrothermal *** unidirectional solidification texture at the apex of the aplitic granite and the low F contents in the andesite suggest that most of F in fluorite was derived from granitic melts. These observations suggest that the fluorite was related to the magmatic-hydrothermal fluids. All the fluorite separates have consistent total REE contents with LREE-depleted, HREE-enriched, negative Eu anomaly,unapparent Ce anomaly and positive Y anomaly. These characteristics are significantly different than those of country granite, andesite and tuff whole-rock. The positive Y anomaly of the fluorite separates implies that the hydrothermal fluids migrated a long distance, as suggested by the fact that the fluorite-molybdenite veins were mostly hosted in andesite and tuff, far from the Mo ore-forming granites. The features of LREE-depleted and HREE-enriched fluorite are due to the REE-complex in the F-enriched fluids during migration. The stronger negative Eu anomaly of fluorite than those of country rocks suggests that the Eu anomaly of the original hydrothermal fluid was enhanced by the high temperature(generally above 200 or250 °C). The widespread magnetite in the studied deposit indicates that the magmatic-hydrothermal fluid was oxidized at early stage. On the other hand, the pyrite was also paragenetic, with the molybdenite and unapparent Ce anomaly implying that the hydrothermal fluid probably experienced oxygen fugacity decreasing during migration,which is important for Mo mineralization.

Applying Humboldt’s holistic perspective in China’s sustainability

Investigation on the flow control of micro-vanes on a supersonic spinning projectile

Studies have shown that micro-wedge vortex generators(MVG)can effectively control the flow separation of supersonic boundary *** order to improve the flight stability of spinning projectile,the original standard 155 mm projectile was taken as an example,and the micro-vanes were mounted at the projectile shoulder to investigate the separation control on the aerodynamic characteristics of *** simulations were performed with the use of DES method for the flow fields of projectiles with and without micro-vanes,and the characteristics of the boundary layer structures and aerodynamic data were compared and *** results show that the micro-vanes can be used to inhibit separation of fluid on projectile surface,and improve the flight stability and firing dispersion of projectile.

Current strategies for drug discovery research mainly focus on molecular targets,in which structure biology plays a central role,such as the detailed mechanism of a drug-target *** principle of this approach is the presumed molecular mechanism or genetic background of the disease being *** this approach has brought progress in understanding the mode of action for some drugs,most prevalent illnesses-especially chronic diseases-are multifactorial and present with a group of symptoms,as is often the case in cardiovascular diseases,metabolic disorders,cancers,and so *** newly emerging term“multi-morbidity”(i.e.,multiple co-occurring diseases)describes a grand challenge for this strategy,and successful drug intervention for multimorbidity should be multifaceted[1].So,our research team has shifted its attention to a new direction that views the disease as a whole instead of a single-molecule abnormality,and focusing on drugs with multiple targets.

In this paper the absorption spectra of 4f electron transitions of the neodymlum complex with 8-hydroxyquinoline and octylphenol poly(ethyleneglycol)ether have been studied. The marked intensification of the band at low octylphenol poly(ethyleneglycol)ether concentration is found normally at 575 nm, and its resolution into three sharp bands centering at 572, 580 and 584 nm. The absorbances of the absorption maxima are 3.5 (at 572 nm), 7.2 (at 580 nm) and 10.2 (at 584 nm) times greater than that of the chloride.

Current status of Helicobacter pylori eradication and risk factors for eradication failure

BACKGROUND The Helicobacter pylori(***)eradication rate is decreasing in the general population of *** To evaluate the *** eradication status in real-world clinical practice and to explore factors related to eradication *** Patients with *** infection who were treated with standard 14-d quadruple therapy and received a test of cure at a provincial medical institution between June 2018 and May 2019 were *** and clinical data were *** rates were calculated and compared between regimens and *** analysis was performed to identify predictors of eradication *** Of 2610 patients enrolled,eradication was successful in 1999(76.6%)***-containing quadruple regimens showed a higher eradication rate than other quadruple therapy regimens(83.0%vs 69.0%,P<0.001).The quadruple therapy containing amoxicillin plus clarithromycin achieved the highest eradication rate(83.5%).Primary therapy had a higher eradication rate than rescue therapy(78.3%vs 66.5%,P<0.001).In rescue therapy,the amoxicillinand furazolidone-containing regimens achieved the highest eradication rate(80.8%).Esomeprazole-containing regimens showed a higher eradication rate than those containing other proton pump inhibitors(81.8%vs 74.9%,P=0.001).Multivariate regression analysis found that older age,prior therapy,and use of omeprazole or pantoprazole were associated with an increased risk of eradication CONCLUSION The total eradication rate is 76.6%.Amoxicillin-containing regimens are superior to other ***,prior therapy,and use of omeprazole or pantoprazole are independent risk factors for eradication failure.

Transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of persistent or recurrent hemospermia： a single- institution experience

The diagnosis and treatment of hemospermia presents significant difficulty, especially if it persists or recurs. In this retrospective study, we assessed whether transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy is feasible and effective in the diagnosis and treatment of hemospermia. To address this complex condition, we report our experience in a population of patients treated with transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy. From February 2006 to July 2008, 72 hemospermic patients underwent transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy examination and treatment at our urology center. Transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy was performed by a 7-F or 8-F rigid ureteroscope. The endoscopic procedure was conducted through the normal anatomic route of the seminal tracts. In this series, the mean follow-up period was 21.7 months. Definite diagnosis was made for 93.1% patients, and 94.4% patients were cured or showed a decrease in their symptoms. Postoperative complications were not observed in the study. Our study proves that transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy is effective in the diagnosis and treatment of hemospermia with minimal complication.

Application of a concrete thermal pile in cooling the warming permafrost under climate change

Permafrost degradation caused by climate warming is posing a serious threat to the stability of cast-in-place pile foundations in warm permafrost *** cold energy can be effectively utilized by two-phase closed thermosyphons(TPCTs)to cool the ***,we installed TPCTs in a cast-in-place pile foundation to create a unique structure called a thermal pile,which effectively utilizes the TPCTs to regulate ground *** we conducted a case study and numerical simulation to exhibit the cooling performance,and optimize the structure of the thermal *** purpose of this study is to promote the application of thermal piles in unstable permafrost *** on the findings,the thermal pile operated for approximately 53%of the entire year and effectively reduced the deep ground temperature at a rate of at least-0.1℃per ***,it successfully raised the permafrost table that is 0.35 m shallower than the natural ground *** characteristics prove highly beneficial in mitigating the adverse effects of permafrost degradation and enhancing infrastructure *** the length of the condenser section and the diameter of the TPCT in a suitable manner can effectively enhance the cooling capability of the thermal pile and ensure the long-term mechanical stability of the pile foundation even under climate warming.
