Overexpression of wild-type HRAS drives non-alcoholic steatohepatitis to hepatocellular carcinoma in mice

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),a prevalent solid carcinoma of significant concern,is an aggressive and often fatal disease with increasing global incidence rates and poor therapeutic *** etiology and pathological progression of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)-related HCC is multifactorial and ***,no single animal model can accurately mimic the full NASH-related HCC pathological progression,posing considerable challenges to transition and mechanistic ***,a novel conditional inducible wild-type human HRAS overexpressed mouse model(HRAS-HCC)was established,demonstrating 100%morbidity and mortality within approximately one month under normal dietary and lifestyle *** symptoms of HCC such as ascites,thrombus,internal hemorrhage,jaundice,and lung metastasis were successfully replicated in ***-depth pathological features of NASH-related HCC were demonstrated by pathological staining,biochemical analyses,and typical marker gene *** murine anti-PD-1 and sorafenib treatment effectively prolonged mouse survival,further confirming the accuracy and reliability of the *** on protein-protein interaction(PPI)network and RNA sequencing analyses,we speculated that overexpression of HRAS may initiate the THBS1-COL4A3 axis to induce NASH with severe fibrosis,with subsequent progression to ***,our study successfully duplicated natural sequential progression in a single murine model over a very short period,providing an accurate and reliable preclinical tool for therapeutic evaluations targeting the NASH to HCC continuum.

Butterfly taxonomic and functional diversity in the urban green spaces of Hefei city

Urbanization has profound impacts on ecological environments. Green spaces are a vital component of urban ecosystems and play a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance and enhancing sustainability. This study aimed to investigate the community composition characteristics of butterflies in urban green spaces within the context of rapid urbanization. Simultaneously, it explored the status and differences in butterfly taxonomic diversity, functional diversity, and functional traits among different types of urban green spaces, regions, and urban gradients to provide relevant insights for further improving urban green space quality and promoting biodiversity conservation. We conducted a year-long survey of 80 green spaces across different urban regions and ring roads within Hefei City, Anhui Province, with monthly sampling intervals over 187 transects. A total of 4822 butterflies, belonging to 5 families, 17 subfamilies, 40 genera, and 55 species were identified. The species richness, Shannon, Simpson, functional richness, and Rao's quadratic entropy indices of butterflies in urban park green spaces were all significantly higher than those in residential and street green spaces(P favorable habitats for butterflies. However, some residential green spaces and street green spaces demonstrate potential for butterfly conservation.

A bibliometric analysis using machine learning to track paradigm shifts and analytical advances in forest ecology and forestry journal publications from 2010 to 2022

Forest habitats are critical for biodiversity,ecosystem services,human livelihoods,and *** to conduct theoretical and applied forest ecology research addressing direct(e.g.,deforestation)and indirect(e.g.,climate change)anthropogenic pressures has benefited considerably from new field-and *** used machine learning and bibliometric structural topic modelling to identify 20 latent topics comprising four principal fields from a corpus of 16,952 forest ecology/forestry articles published in eight ecology and five forestry journals between 2010 and *** published per year increased from 820 in 2010 to 2,354 in 2021,shifting toward more applied *** from China and some countries in North America and Europe dominated,with relatively fewer articles from some countries in West and Central Africa and West Asia,despite globally important forest *** study sites were in some countries in North America,Central Asia,and South America,and *** utilizing R statistical software predominated,increasing from 29.5%in 2010 to 71.4%in *** most frequently used packages included lme4,vegan,nlme,MuMIn,ggplot2,car,MASS,mgcv,multcomp and raster.R was more often used in forest ecology than applied forestry articles.R software offers advantages in script and workflow-sharing compared to other statistical *** findings demonstrate that the disciplines of forest ecology/forestry are expanding both in number and scope,aided by more sophisticated statistical tools,to tackle the challenges of redressing forest habitat loss and the socio-economic impacts of deforestation.

Tumor recurrence and survival prognosis in patients with advanced gastric cancer after radical resection with radiotherapy and chemotherapy

Natural gas hydrate(NGH)is generally produced and accumulated together with the underlying conventional ***,optimizing the production technology of these two gases should be seen as a relevant way to effectively reduce the exploitation cost of the gas *** this study,three types of models accounting for the coexistence of these gases are *** A considers the upper hydrate-bearing layer(HBL)adjacent to the lower conventional gas layer(CGL);with the Type B a permeable interlayer exists between the upper HBL and the lower CGL;with the type C there is an impermeable interlayer between the upper HBL and the lower *** production performances associated with the above three models are calculated under different conditions,including only a depressurized HBL(only HBL DP);only a depressurized CGL(only CGL DP);and both the HBL and the CGL being depressurized(HBL+CGL DP).The results show that for Type A and Type B coexistence accumulation models,when only HBL or CGL is depressurized,the gas from the other layer will flow into the production layer due to the pressure difference between the two *** the coexistence accumulation model of type C,the cumulative gas production is much lower than that of Type A and Type B,regardless of whether only HBL DP,only CGL DP,or HBL+CGL DP are *** indicates that the impermeable interlayer restricts the cross-flow of gas between HBL and *** three different coexistence accumulation models,CGL DP has the largest gas-to-water ratio.

Enhancing Log Anomaly Detection with Semantic Embedding and Integrated Neural Network Innovations

System logs,serving as a pivotal data source for performance monitoring and anomaly detection,play an indispensable role in assuring service stability and *** this,the majority of existing log-based anomaly detection methodologies predominantly depend on the sequence or quantity attributes of logs,utilizing solely a single Recurrent Neural Network(RNN)and its variant sequence models for *** approaches have not thoroughly exploited the semantic information embedded in logs,exhibit limited adaptability to novel logs,and a single model struggles to fully unearth the potential features within the log *** these challenges,this article proposes a hybrid architecture based on amultiscale convolutional neural network,efficient channel attention and mogrifier gated recurrent unit networks(LogCEM),which amalgamates multiple neural network *** on the superior performance of robustly optimized BERT approach(RoBERTa)in the realm of natural language processing,we employ RoBERTa to extract the original word vectors from each word in the log *** conjunction with the enhanced Smooth Inverse Frequency(SIF)algorithm,we generate more precise log sentence vectors,thereby achieving an in-depth representation of log ***,these log vector sequences are fed into a hybrid neural network,which fuses 1D Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Network(MSCNN),Efficient Channel Attention Mechanism(ECA),and Mogrifier Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU).This amalgamation enables themodel to concurrently capture the local and global dependencies of the log sequence and autonomously learn the significance of different log sequences,thereby markedly enhancing the efficacy of log anomaly *** validate the effectiveness of the LogCEM model,we conducted evaluations on two authoritative open-source *** experimental results demonstrate that LogCEM not only exhibits excellent accuracy and robustness,but also outperfo
