The Na I(Tl) scintillation detector has a number of unique advantages, including wide use, high light yield,and its low price. It is difficult to obtain the decomposition of instrument response spectrum because of limitations associated with the Na I(Tl) scintillation detector's energy resolution. This paper, based on the physical process of c photons released from decay nuclides, generating an instrument response spectrum, uses the Monte Carlo method to simulate c photons with Na I(Tl) scintillation detector interaction. The Monte Carlo response matrix is established by different single energy γ-rays with detector effects. The Gold and the improved Boosted-Gold iterative algorithms have also been used in this paper to solve the response matrix parameters through decomposing tests,such as simulating a multi-characteristic energy c-ray spectrum and simulating synthesized overlapping peaks cray spectrum. An inversion decomposition of the c instrument response spectrum for measured samples(U series, Th series and U–Th mixed sources, among others)can be achieved under the response matrix. The decomposing spectrum can be better distinguished between the similar energy characteristic peaks, which improve the error levels of activity analysis caused by the overlapping peak with significant effects.

Driven by the huge demand to explore oceans, underwater wireless communications have been rapidly developed in the past few decades. Due to the complex physical characteristics of water, acoustic wave is the only media available for underwater wireless communication at any distance. As a result, underwater acoustic communication(UAC) is the major research field in underwater wireless communication. In this paper, characteristics of underwater acoustic channels are first introduced and compared with terrestrial communication to demonstrate the difficulties in UAC research. To give a general impression of the UAC, current important research areas are mentioned. Furthermore, different principal modulation-based schemes for short-and medium-range communications with high data rates are investigated and summarized. To evaluate the performance of UAC systems in general,three criteria are presented based on the research publications and our years of experience in high-rate short-to medium-range communications. These three criteria provide useful tools to generally guide the design and evaluate the performance of underwater acoustic communication systems.

Background: Open pancreaticoduodenectomy(OPD) with portal or superior mesenteric vein resection and reconstruction has been applied in pancreatic cancer patients with tumor infiltration or adherence. However, it is controversial whether laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy(LPD) with major vascular resection and reconstruction is feasible. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and feasibility of LPD with major vascular resection compared with OPD with major vascular resection. Methods: We reviewed data for all pancreatic cancer patients undergoing LPD or OPD with vascular resection at Department of Pancreatic Surgery, Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, between February 2018 and May 2022. We compared the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative clinicopathological data of the two groups to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of LPD with major vascular resection. Results: A total of 63 patients underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD) with portal or superior mesenteric vein resection and reconstruction, including 25 LPDs and 38 OPDs. The LPD group had less intraoperative blood loss(200 vs. 400 m L, P here was no perioperative death in all patients. There was no significant difference in the incidence of total postoperative complications, grade B/C postoperative pancreatic fistula, delayed gastric emptying and abdominal infection between the two groups. No postpancreatectomy hemorrhage nor bile leakage occurred during perioperative period. There was no significant difference in R0 resection rate and number of lymph nodes harvested between the two groups. Patency of reconstructed vessels in the two groups were 96.0% and 92.1%, respectively( P = 0.927). Locating Malleable Bulk Metallic Glasses in Zr-Ti-Cu-Al Alloys with Calorimetric Glass Transition Temperature as an Indicator

We defined the plastic deformability under constrained loading conditions as malleability for bulk metallic glass （BMG） materials. Quaternary Zr-Ti-Cu-Al alloys in the Zr-rich composition range are selected to investigate the compositional dependence of malleability assessed by bending testing and glass transition temperature （Tg ）. As indicated, increasing the Al or Cu concentration in the alloys leads to the rise of T g . The Zr（61）Ti2Cu（25）Al（12）（ZT1） and Zr（61.6）Ti（4.4）Cu（24）Al（10）（ZT3） alloys exhibit an optimal combination of lower T g and higher glass-forming ability. The malleable BMGs such as ZT1 manifests two characters during deformation, the stable propagation of a single shear band indicated by large shear offsets and easy proliferation of shear bands. With increasing the T g of BMG, the yield strength σy,Young＇s modulus and shear modulus simultaneously increase as well, while the Poisson s ratio decreases. The σy of ZT1 BMG is about 1680 MPa in compression and 1600 MPa in tension. In tensile loading, no any visible plasticity appears even when the strain rate increases up to the order of magnitude of 10（-1）s（-1）. In consistent with the T g , malleability of Zr-Ti-Cu-Al BMGs manifests significant compositional dependence. The malleable BMG is associated with lower Tg , as well as lower shear modulus or higher Poisson s ratio, which can be understood on the basis of the correlation of Tg with shear energy barrier in metallic glass. Thus, the calorimetric Tg can be used as an indicator to screen malleable BMG-forming composition, with advantage of experimental accessibility.

This paper constructs a coupled aero-hydro-elastic-servo simulation framework for a monopile offshore wind turbine(OWT).In this framework,a detailed multi-body dynamics model of the monopile OWT including the gearbox,blades,tower and other components(nacelle,hub,bedplate,etc.)has been explicitly *** effects of pile−soil interaction,controller and operational conditions on the turbine dynamic responses are studied systematically in time domain and frequency *** results show that(1)a comprehensive drivetrain model has the capability to provide a more precise representation of the complex dynamic characteristics exhibited by drivetrain components,which can be used as the basis for further study on the dynamic characteristics of the drivetrain.(2)The pile−soil interaction can influence the wind turbine dynamic responses,particularly under the parked condition.(3)The effect of the pile−soil interaction on tower responses is more significant than that on blade responses.(4)The use of the controller can substantially affect the rotor characteristics,which in turn influences the turbine dynamic responses.(5)The tower and blade displacements under the operational condition are much larger than those under the parked *** model and methodology presented in this study demonstrate potential for examining complex dynamic behaviors of the monopile *** ensure accuracy and precision,it is imperative to construct a detailed model of the wind turbine system,while also taking into account simulation efficiency.
