To the Editor:Livedoid vasculopathy(LV)is a thromboocclusive disorder involving superficial and mid-dermis vessels,characterized by painful erythematous or purpuric macules or papules,small crusted ulcers,and porcelainwhite atrophic scars that remain after several months.[1,2]Dermoscopy is a non-invasive and effective image analysis technology[3]that can aid dermatologists in visualization of the pigmentation pattern and vascular structure,as well as other morphologic features of the epidermis and *** study was performed to identify the clinical and dermoscopic features of LV in patients with LV who were treated in our hospital from October 2017 to August *** study was approved by the Ethical Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University(No.2018-YB-05).The study was performed in accordance with the established guidelines and *** have obtained all appropriate patient consent *** the form,the patients have given their consents for their images and other clinical information to be reported in the journal.

AIM:To investigate the potential mechanisms of A-V pattern and evaluate the surgical outcomes used in the treatment of sensory ***:The medical records of patients with sensory A-V pattern exotropia who underwent strabismus surgery between May 2014 to June 2019 was retrospectively *** control group included sensory exotropia patients without A-V pattern and concomitant A-V pattern exotropia patients with normal vision who undergone strabismus surgery over this same time *** alignment,best corrected visual acuity,oblique muscle function,and stereopsis records were ***:Among the 843 eligible patients,91(10.79%;39 males and 52 females)had A-pattern(54,6.4%)or V-pattern(37,4.4%).Age at onset of vision impairment was 4±5y and at the time of surgery was 25±*** significant negative correlations were present between impaired visual acuity and the pre-operative exodeviation(r=-0.198,P=0.016)and patterns(r=-0.207,P=0.015).Age at surgery and exodeviation in patients with concomitant A-V pattern exotropia was significantly earlier as compared with that of sensory A-V pattern exotropia and sensory exotropia(both P<0.0001).There were no significant differences in these clinical variables between sensory exotropia with or without A-V *** and pattern were significantly reduced in patients receiving horizontal rectus surgery with or without oblique muscle surgery(both P<0.0001).CONCLUSION:The prevalence of sensory A-V pattern exotropia in our study is 10.79%.Visual acuity represents an important factor contributing to the occurrence and development of A-V *** horizontal rectus surgery can provide a good option for the correction of sensory A-V pattern exotropia.

The chloride penetration resistance of cement-based grout materials was improved by nano-silica *** of mixtures containing different nano-silica particles or emulsions were exposed in sodium chloride solutions of specific concentrations with different test *** properties of the mixes were assessed in terms of weight loss and compressive strength.X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)of mixes were performed to analysis the phase evolution and *** results demonstrated that the introduction of nano-SiO_(2) emulsion significantly decreased the compressive strength loss and calcium hydroxide(CH)crystal content of hydration production,and then enhanced the resistance of cement-based grouting materials to chloride ion *** improvement derives from the filling and pozzolanic effects of nano-SiO_(2) particles,which were incorporated via an emulsion and attributed to a well dispersion in grouting matrix.

Dear Editor,This letter studies output consensus problem of heterogeneous linear multiagent systems over directed graphs. A novel adaptive dynamic event-triggered controller is presented based only on the feedback combination of the agent's own state and neighbors' output,which can achieve exponential output consensus through intermittent communication. The controller is obtained by solving two linear matrix equations, and Zeno behavior is excluded.

Objective:To explore the mechanism of action of asperosaponinⅥ(AⅥ)in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and validate it in ex vivo experiments using network pharmacology and molecular docking ***:The predicted targets of AⅥwere obtained from PharmMaper,UniProt and Swiss Target Prediction platforms,the disease targets were collected from Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man,Therapeutic Target Database and Gene Cards databases,the intersection targets of AⅥand RA were obtained from Venny 2.1.0,and the protein-protein interaction(PPI)network was obtained from STRING database,which was analyzed by Cytoscape software and screened to obtain the core *** software was used to analyze PPI network and screen the core *** on the Database for Annotation,Visualization and Integrated Discovery database,Gene Ontology functional and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway enrichment analysis were performed,and Cytoscape software was used to construct the"DiseasePathway-Target-Drug"network,which was finally verified by molecular docking and animal ***:Network pharmacological studies showed that AⅥwas able to modulate 289 targets,with 102 targets for the potential treatment of RA,with the core pathway being the AKT/PI3K signaling pathway,and the core targets being the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)and matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP9).Molecular docking results showed that AⅥcould produce strong binding with both of the 2 core *** vitro cellular experiments showed that AⅥreduced nitric oxide,prostaglandin E_2,tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),and IL-1βlevels(P<0.05)and inhibited cyclooxygenase-2,nitric oxide synthase,EGFR,MMP9,phosphorylated phosphoinositide 3-kinase(p-PI3K),and phosphorylated serine-threonine kinase(p-AKT)proteins(P<0.05).The results of in vivo studies showed that AⅥimproved RA score and foot swelling thickness and decreased TNF-α,IL-6,p-PI3K and p-AKT levels in RA rat

Sodium-ion batteries have emerged as competitive substitutes for low-temperature applications due to severe capacity loss and safety concerns of lithium-ion batteries at−20°C or ***,the key capability of ultrafast charging at ultralow temperature for SIBs is rarely ***,a hybrid of Bi nanoparticles embedded in carbon nanorods is demonstrated as an ideal material to address this issue,which is synthesized via a high temperature shock *** a hybrid shows an unprecedented rate performance(237.9 mAh g^(−1) at 2 A g^(−1))at−60℃,outperforming all reported SIB anode *** with a Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode,the energy density of the full cell can reach to 181.9 Wh kg^(−1) at−40°*** on this work,a novel strategy of high-rate activation is proposed to enhance performances of Bi-based materials in cryogenic conditions by creating new active sites for interfacial reaction under large current.

Functional hyperbranched polymers, as an important class of materials, are widely applied in diverse areas. Therefore, the development of simple and efficient reactions to prepare hyperbranched polymers is of great significance. In this work, trialdehydes, diamines, and trimethylsilyl cyanide could easily undergo multicomponent polymerization under mild conditions, producing hyperbranched poly(alpha-aminonitrile)s with high molecular weights (Mw up to 4.87x104) in good yields (up to 85%). The hyperbranched poly(alpha-aminonitrile)s have good solubility in commonly used organic solvents, high thermal stability as well as morphological stability. Furthermore, due to the numerous aldehyde groups in their branched chains, these hb-poly(alpha-aminonitrile)s can undergo one-pot, two-step, four-component post-polymerization with high efficiency. This work not only confirms the efficiency of our established catalyst-free multicomponent polymerization of aldehydes, amines and trimethylsilyl cyanide, but also provides a versatile and powerful platform for the preparation of functional hyperbranched polymeric materials.

The importance of porewater exchange process on carbon lateral export from saltmarsh creek to coastal sea

Saltmarsh is one of the blue carbon ecosystems for the highest carbon burial ***,the buried carbon in saltmarsh may still be exported to coastal water through porewater exchange,a process that has often been overlooked in previous studies.A typical tidal creek of the Dongtan saltmarsh wetland in Chongming Island,Shanghai,China,was ***224Ra and223Ra activities were measured and the hydrological parameters such as water flow were determined,from which the porewater exchange rate in the tidal creek was estimated to be 1.78±1.73 cm/***,the carbon concentrations in porewater were determined,based on which the fluxes of dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC),dissolved organic carbon(DOC),CH_(4),and CO_(2)exported from porewater exchange were derived to be 60±17,6.6±4.0,0.082±0.079,and 16±11 mmol/(m^(2)·d),*** addition,analysis on different species of carbon in the creek water showed that,the fluxes of DIC,DOC,CH_(4),and CO_(2)exported laterally from tidal creek to coastal sea were 58±14,7.6±2.3,0.0011±0.00063,and 1.5±0.68 mmol/(m^(2)·d),respectively,indicating that the porewater exchange-derived carbon fluxes accounted for a large portion of the lateral carbon outwelling,and even much higher than those in CH_(4)and CO_(2)***,the carbon exported from porewater exchange accounted for 50%of the carbon burial in the tidal creek system,of which DIC accounted for 73%of the total carbon flux transported by porewater ***,this study indicated that the porewater exchange-derived carbon fluxes to the tidal creek water may cause an overestimation in the carbon sequestration capacity of saltmarsh wetlands,and revealed the importance of porewater exchange for the carbon cycle of tidal creek system of saltmarsh wetlands.

Objective: Dermoscopy is a useful technique for improving the diagnostic accuracy of various types of skin disorders. In China, dermoscopy has been widely accepted, and domestic researchers have made tremendous progress in the field of dermoscopy. The main purpose of this review is to summarize the current status of dermoscopy in China and identify its future directions. Data sources: Articles included in this review were obtained by searching the following databases: Wanfang, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, PubMed, and the Web of Science. We focused on research published before 2019 with keywords including dermoscopy, dermoscopic, dermoscope and trichoscopy. Study selection: A total of 50 studies were selected. Of these studies, 20 studies were in Chinese and 30 in English, research samples of all the studies were collected from Chinese populations. Results: Since 2000, more than 380 articles about dermoscopy have been published in domestic or foreign journals. Dermoscopy can improve the diagnostic accuracy of neoplastic diseases, evaluating the therapeutic effect of treatment, and determining the treatment endpoint, and it can also assist in the differential diagnosis of inflammatory diseases and in the assessment of the severity of the disease. In addition, researches about the applications of dermoscopy during surgical treatment have been published. Training courses aiming to improve the diagnostic ability of dermatologists, either face-to-face or online, have been offered. The Chinese Skin Image Database, launched in 2017 as a work platform for dermatologists, has promoted the development of dermoscopy in China. Computer-aided diagnostic systems based on the Chinese population are ready for use. In the future, cooperation, resource sharing, talent development, image management, and computer-aided diagnosis will be important directions for the development of dermoscopy in China.
