CeO2-, La2O3., and ZrO2-promoted Ni/Mg（Al）O catalysts synthesized by hydrotalcite-type precursors have been investigated with respect to catalytic activity and carbon formation in the hydrogenation and steam reforming of toluene as a model tar compound. X-ray diffraction （XRD）, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller （BET） specific surface area and Hz-temperature programmed reduction （TPR） were used to observe the characteristics of the prepared catalysts. The carbon formation and its amount on the used catalysts were examined by transmission electron microscope （TEM）, scanning electron microscope （SEM） and thermogravimetric （TG）. The trend of catalytic activity as derived from the experimental results followed the order： Ni-Ce〉Ni-La〉Ni-Zr〉Ni. The catalyst modified with CeO2 exhibited the highest catalytic performance and had good carbon resistance in the hydrogenation and steam reforming of toluene. A toluene conversion of 96.8%, a CH4 yield of 45.2% and a CO yield of 50.4% have been achieved. The addition of promoters led to better dispersion of nickel species and higher interaction nickel-support, which were favorable for increasing the catalytic activity and effectively preventing carbon formation.

According to the coexistence theory of slag structures, the calculating model of the oxidizing capabilityfor CaO-MgO-FeO-Al2O3.SiO2 refining slag system has been deduced. Based on this model, the concept and thecalculating method of the optimum slag basicity are put forward. The results have proved that at this basicity,steel with lower oxygen content can be obtained and non-metallic indigenous globular inclusions can be avoidedmore effectively than at other basicity.

Porous ceramics usually require high mechanical strength and maximized porosity simultaneously,while for conventional particle grading strategies,it is highly challenging to meet both *** this end,a reverse particle grading strategy was developed based on the linear packing model by unusually introducing coarse particles(d_(50)=16μm)into a fine particle(d50=5μm)*** the extrusion and sintering process,tubular porous SiC ceramic supports with improved mechanical strength were successfully *** effects of coarse particles on the rheological properties of the ceramic paste and the macroscopic properties and microstructure of the SiC supports were systematically *** an increase in the content of coarse SiC particles to 3. wt%,the pressure generated during extrusion decreased from 5.5±0.2 to 1.3.0.1 ***,the bending strength of the tubular supports increased from 3..6±5.6 to 49.1±4.5 MPa when 20 wt%coarse powder was *** notably improved mechanical strength was attributed to the distribution of coarse particles that prolonged the route of crack ***,the optimized tubular supports had an average pore size of 1.2±0.1μm,an open porosity of 45.1%±1.6%,and a water permeability of 7163.150 L/(m^(2)·h·bar)as well as good alkali and acid corrosion ***,the strategy was proven to be feasible for the scale-up fabrication of 19-channel SiC tubular porous ceramic supports.

The equilibrium phase and adiabatic temperature for combustion synthesis of Al_2O_3.B_4C employing Al, B_2O_3.and C as starting materials is analyzed by both conventional and CALPHAD method. The adiabatic temperature calculed by CALPHAD method is significantly lower than that obtained by conventional method. The CALPHAD calculation also reveals that the equilibrium phases presented at the adiabatic temperature are different to the desired composites. The adiabatic temperature in this system can be lowered by introducing Al_2O_3.as diluents. The maximum amount of Al_2O_3.that can be added to the system while maintain a self-sustaining combusion mode is 1.3.mol.

Red algal evidence for a marine regression during closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean in the Junggar Basin and its linkage to hydrocarbon generation

The closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean was a significant geological event in northern Pangea during the *** had a significant effect on climate,biota,and environmental conditions of the Late Paleozoic Ice Age,and resulted in the development of vast energy *** paper reports on the first discovery of marine red algal fossils in the Junggar Basin and its linkage to hydrocarbon *** algae occur mainly in the Fengcheng Formation(ca.3.0 Ma)and provide direct fossil evidence for closure of the Paleo-Asian *** red algal fossils contain well-preserved reproductive organs,such as cystocarps and *** concentrations of C_(27) steranes(C_(27) regular steranes/sum of C_(27)-C_(29) regular steranes×100=14.3.%-21.3.%)and the marine biomarker 24-n-propylcholesterane(C_(3.) diasterane[βα20S]/sum of C_(27)-C_(3.) diasteranes[βα20S]×100=1.15%-1.85%)were detected in the red-algae-bearing hydrocarbon source *** experiments that simulate hydrocarbon generation show that the oil generation potential of the red-algae-bearing source rocks is 3.3.71 mg g^(-1) total organic *** result,combined with oil-source rock correlations,indicates these rocks contributed to the formation of oil and gas resources,particularly in the marginal areas of the *** lake basin inherited the water and biological conditions of the Paleo-Asian Ocean during a marine regression,which was an important factor in the development of these high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks in an alkaline saline *** results advance our understanding of the evolution of the Paleo-Asian Ocean,interactions between the ocean and a lake during the deposition of terrestrial hydrocarbon source rocks,and whether red algae can effectively generate hydrocarbons.

Sodium-ion battery(SIB)is an ideal candidate for large-scale energy storage due to high abundant sodium sources,relatively high energy density,and potentially low *** carbons,as one of the most promising anodes,could deliver high plateau capacities at low potentials,which boosts the energy densities of *** slope capacities have been demonstrated from the defect adsorption of sodium ions,while the plateau capacity depends highly on intercalation and pore ***,the specific structures of sodium ions stored in hard carbons have not been clarified,namely active sites of adsorption,intercalation,and pore-filling ***,delicate synthesis methods are required to prepare hard carbons with controllable specific structures,along with elucidating the precise active sites for enhancing the Na-ion storage *** offer databases for future designs,we summarized the synthesis strategies of hard carbon anodes for constructing active sites of plateau *** methods were highlighted with corresponding influences on the meticulous structures of hard carbons and Na-ion storage *** but not least,perspectives were proposed for developing hard carbon anodes from the points of research and practical applications.

Heat flow plays an important role in the study ot thermal structure and thermal evolutionof continental margin of the northern South china Sea. The analysis of heat flow value shows that margin heat flow in the northern South china Sea is relatively high setting, but the percentage of crustal heat flow is lower than 3.% in terrestrial heat flow. The terrestrial heat flow exhibited a current of rise from the Northern Continental Margin to the Southern Central Basin. However, the proportion of crustal heat flow in terrestrial heat flow slowly dropped down in the same direction. It is suggested that the main factor causing high heat flow setting is the moving up of hot material from asthenosphere.

Appropriate mechanized straw returning and tillage sowing techniques were effective means to optimize soil physical properties and enhance agricultural productivity,as well as important measures for the conservation and restoration of mollisols region in Northeast *** the condition of full-scale maize straw returning,four mechanized tillage and sowing modes were set,including plough tillage and sowing(PTS),combined tillage and sowing(CTS),no-tillage and sowing(NTS),and no-tillage and sowing with straw mulching(NTSM).In 2020 and 2021,the study investigated the effects of different mechanized tillage and sowing modes on soil physical properties,soybean yield and economic *** results showed that during the pod-setting and pod-filling period of soybean,the NTS and NTSM treatments exhibited better effects on deep soil insulation and shallow soil moisture retention,the soil physical structure of PTS and CTS treatments were relatively *** with PTS and CTS treatments,NTS and NTSM treatments significantly increased soil gravimetric water content(SWC)by 2.3.%to 7.98%in the 5-15 cm soil layer and increased soil temperature(ST)by 3.94%to 10.42%in the 25-3. cm soil layer(p3.88%to 6.53.in the 5-25 cm soil layer,and significantly reduced soil gas phase ratio by 8.26%to 6.27%at the 15-25 cm soil layers,which caused soil three-phase ratio(STPR)of PTS and CTS treatment in 15-25 cm soil layer were relatively *** soybean yield of NTSM treatment in 2020 was not significantly different from PTS and CTS treatment(p>0.05),the soybean yield of NTSM treatment in 2021 significantly increased by 7.3.%and 5.84%over PTS and CTS treatments,*** the average annual profit per unit area of NTSM treatment increased by 12.84%,12.41%and 8.57%compared with PTS,CTS and NTS treatments,***,it was recommended to combine NTS
