Nonlinear optical absorption of few-layer molybdenum diselenide （MoSe2） for passively mode-locked soliton fiber laser [Invited]

In this paper,both nonlinear saturable absorption and two-photon absorption（TPA） of few-layer molybdenum diselenide（MoSe2） were observed at 1.56 μm wavelength and further applied to mode-locked ultrafast fiber laser for the first time to our ***-layer MoSe2 nanosheets were prepared by liquid-phase exfoliation method and characterized by x ray diffractometer,Raman spectroscopy,and atomic force *** obtained fewlayer MoSe2 dispersion is further composited with a polymer material for convenient fabrication of MoSe2 thin ***,we investigated the nonlinear optical（NLO） absorption property of the few-layer MoSe2 film using a balanced twin-detector measurement *** the saturable absorption and TPA effects of the few-layer MoSe2 film were found by increasing the input optical *** saturable absorption shows a modulation depth of 0.63% and a low nonsaturable loss of 3.5%,corresponding to the relative modulation depth of 18%.The TPA effect occurred when the input optical intensity exceeds 260 MW∕***,we experimentally exploit the saturable absorption of few-layer MoSe2 film to mode lock an all-fiber erbium-doped fiber *** soliton mode locking at 1558 nm center wavelength is achieved with pulse duration of 1.45 *** was also observed that the TPA process suppresses the mode-locking operation in the case of higher optical *** results indicate that layered MoSe2,as another two-dimensional nanomaterial,can provide excellent NLO properties（e.g.,saturable absorption and TPA） for potential applications in ultrashort pulse generation and optical limiting.

Certificateless key-insulated signature without random oracles

Leakage of the private key has become a serious problem of menacing the cryptosystem security. To reduce the underlying danger induced by private key leakage, Dodis et al.(2003) proposed the first key-insulated signature scheme. To handle issues concerning the private key leakage in certificateless signature schemes, we devise the first certificateless key-insulated signature scheme. Our scheme applies the key-insulated mechanism to certificateless cryptography, one with neither certificate nor key escrow. We incorporate Waters (2005)’s signature scheme, Paterson and Schuldt (2006)’s identity-based signature scheme, and Liu et al.(2007)’s certificateless signature scheme to obtain a certificateless key-insulated signature scheme. Our scheme has two desirable properties. First, its security can be proved under the non-pairing-based generalized bilinear Diffie-Hellman (NGBDH) conjecture, without utilizing the random oracle model; second, it solves the key escrow problem in identity-based key-insulated signatures.

Ensemble learning HMM for motion recognition and retrieval by Isomap dimension reduction

Along with the development of motion capture technique, more and more 3D motion databases become available. In this paper, a novel approach is presented for motion recognition and retrieval based on ensemble HMM (hidden Markov model) learning. Due to the high dimensionality of motion’s features, Isomap nonlinear dimension reduction is used for training data of ensemble HMM learning. For handling new motion data, Isomap is generalized based on the estimation of underlying eigen- functions. Then each action class is learned with one HMM. Since ensemble learning can effectively enhance supervised learning, ensembles of weak HMM learners are built. Experiment results showed that the approaches are effective for motion data recog- nition and retrieval.

目的建立一种血液肿瘤BCL-2抗凋亡蛋白抑制剂药敏筛选的简易BH3分析法。方法建立基于显微镜和JC-1染色的BH3分析方法,通过BH3-only模拟肽描绘K562、NB4细胞系BCL-2家族抗凋亡蛋白依赖谱,应用聚合酶链式反应(polymerase chain reaction,PCR)加以验证;回溯临床治疗疗效,检验该方法对临床样本BH3药敏分析结果的符合情况。结果BH3分析结果显示NB4对抗凋亡蛋白的依赖程度依次为BCL2>MC1-1>BCL-XL;K562的依赖程度依次为BCL-XL>MC1-1>BCL2。PCR分析BCL-2家族基因表达量显示,K562抗凋亡蛋白MCL-1、BCL2、BCL-XL相对表达程度较高,BH3-only促凋亡蛋白中BIM、PUMA、NOXA高表达而HRK低表达,细胞抗凋亡能力更依赖于BCL-XL;NB4抗凋亡蛋白BCL-XL表达明显低于MCL-1与BCL-2,BH3-only促凋亡蛋白NOXA低表达,细胞抗凋亡更依赖于MCL-1与BCL-2而非BCL-XL,与BH3分析结果相符。对连续6例血液肿瘤患者骨髓进行BH3分析,结果显示6例患者均对HRK(BCL-XL抑制物)、VEN(BCL-2抑制物)不敏感;4例患者(例1~3,例5)对NOXA(MCL-1抑制物)表现为敏感,2例(例4、例6)的敏感度较低(<50%)。药敏预测结果显示6例患者均对BCL-2抑制剂耐药,例1~3、例5患者对MCL1抑制剂敏感,例4和例6对MCL1抑制剂可能耐药。回溯临床用药效果(4~6个疗程)显示例1~5患者对BCL-2抑制剂相关方案治疗无效,考虑与BCL-2抑制剂不敏感有关,例5更换西达苯胺治疗有效,例4和例6患者西达苯胺相关方案疗效不佳,考虑与MCL-1抑制物不敏感有关,上述临床结局与BH3预测结果一致。结论基于荧光显微镜和JC-1染色的BH3分析是简便可行的,可用于检测血液肿瘤细胞对不同抗凋亡蛋白的依赖性,从而为BCL-2家族相关抑制剂的选择提供证据。

Triptolide,a component of the Chinese herb Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F,has been proved to be effective in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA).However,its underlying mechanisms on RA have not yet been well *** observed the inhibitory effect of triptolide on the expression of inflammatory cytokines and proliferation of fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLS)induced by the complex of interleukin-6(IL-6)and the soluble form of the IL-6 receptor(sIL-6R).Furthermore,to clarify the underlying mechanisms,we treated FLS with the Janus-activated kinase 2(JAK2)inhibitor/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)activation blocker *** this study,immunohistochemical staining was used to identify vimentin(+)and CD68(−)in *** FLS proliferation was measured by cell proliferation assay,and the cell cycles were analyzed by flow ***,ELISA was used to detect the expression of the inflammatory factors in culture *** expression levels of p-JAK2,JAK2,p-STAT3 and STAT3 were investigated through Western blotting *** results showed that IL-6/sIL-6R significantly increased the cell proliferation and expression of inflammatory cytokines,including IL-6,interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).Triptolide or AZD1480 inhibited the cell proliferation and inflammatory cytokine expression in IL-6/sIL-6R-stimulated FLS by suppressing JAK2/*** study suggested that the physiological effects of triptolide on RA were due to its contribution to the inhibition of the inflammatory cytokine expression and FLS proliferation by suppressing the JAK2/STAT3 signaling *** may provide an innovative insight into the effect of triptolide in preventing RA pathogenesis.

GSK3β inhibitor promotes myelination and mitigates muscle atrophy after peripheral nerve injury

Delay of axon regeneration after peripheral nerve injury usually leads to progressive muscle atrophy and poor functional recovery. The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is considered to be one of the main molecular mechanisms that lead to skeletal muscle atrophy in the elderly. We hold the hypothesis that the innervation of target muscle can be promoted by accelerating axon regeneration and decelerating muscle cell degeneration so as to improve functional recovery of skeletal muscle following peripheral nerve injury. This process may be associated with the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway. Our study designed in vitro cell models to simulate myelin regeneration and muscle atrophy. We investigated the effects of SB216763, a glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta inhibitor, on the two major murine cell lines RSC96 and C2C12 derived from Schwann cells and muscle satellite cells. The results showed that SB216763 stimulated the Schwann cell migra- tion and myotube contraction. Quantitative polymerase chain reaction results demonstrated that myelin related genes, myelin associated glycoprotein and cyclin-D1, muscle related gene myogenin and endplate-associated gene nicotinic acetylcholine receptors levels were stimulated by SB216763. Immunocytochemical staining revealed that the expressions of ^-catenin in the RSC96 and C2C12 cytosolic and nuclear compartments were increased in the SB216763-treated cells. These findings confirm that the glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta in- hibitor, SB216763, promoted the myelination and myotube differentiation through the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and contributed to nerve remyelination and reduced denervated muscle atrophy after peripheral nerve injury.

Remission of hyperglycemia following intensive insulin therapy in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients： a long-term follow-up study

Background Early intensive insulin therapies in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients may improve β-cell function and yield prolonged glycemic remissions. This study was performed to evaluate the relationship between the glycemic remission and 13-cell function and assess the variables predictive of long-term near-normoglycemic remission. Methods Eighty-four newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients were treated with 2-week continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion （CSII） and followed up longitudinally. Intravenous glucose tolerance tests （IVGTTs） were performed, and blood glucose, hemoglobin Alc （HbAlc） and insulin were measured at baseline, after CSII and at 2-year visit. The patients who maintained glycemic control for two years were defined as the remission group and those who relapsed before the 2-year visit were the non-remission group. Results The duration to be diagnosed of the patients （from the time that patients began to have diabetic symptoms until diagnosis） in the remission group was shorter than that in the non-remission group （1.00 month vs 4.38 months, P=0.040）. The increase of the acute insulin response （AIR） was maintained after 2 years in the remission group compared with AIR measured immediately after intervention （413.05 pmol·L^-1·min^-1 vs 408.99 pmol·L^-1·min^-1, P=0.820）. While AIR in the non-remission group significantly declined （74.71 pmol·L^-1·min^-1 vs 335.64 pmol·L^-1·min^-1, P=0.030）. Cox model showed that a shorter duration to be diagnosed positively affected the duration of near-nomoglycemic remission with an odds ratio （OR） 1.019, P=0.038, while fasting plasma glucose （FPG） and post-breakfast plasma glucose （PPG） after CSII were the risk factors （OR 1.397, P=0.024 and OR 1.187, P=0.035, respectively）. Conclusion The near-normoglycemic remission is closely associated with long-term maintenance of β-cell function and occurs more commonly in patients with shorter duration to be diagnosed and better glycemic control during CSII.

*** In the past decade,a group of medium to giant lead-zinc deposits,represented by Huoshaoyun,Sachakou,and Yuanbaoling,have been discovered in the Aksai Chin region of Karakoram,*** are all located in the Mesozoic carbonate and clastic rock *** Sachakou leadzinc mining area is adjacent to the northwest of the Huoshaoyun lead-zinc mining area and is in the same stratigraphic layer as *** many scholars have been arguing about the type and age of Huoshaoyun lead-zinc mineralization,few scholars have paid attention to the classification of the ore-bearing strata in the *** stratigraphy of the Lower Permian Shenxianwan Group to the Upper Cretaceous Tielongtan Group is exposed in the Sachakou area of Karakorum,Xinjiang,however,the Late Permian-Early Triassic stratigraphy is missing(Fig.1a).Due to the harsh natural conditions in the area and the low level of work,the stratigraphic delineation is not exhaustive,and the regional lithology is dominated by carbonates and clastic rocks,which makes it difficult to identify the age of the regional lithology and causes problems for the exploration and research of lead-zinc in the area.
