Amphioctopus fangsiao(Cephalopoda:Octopodidae)is an important commercial species in the coastal waters of China.In recent years,however,the resource of A.fangsiao have declined because of habitat destruction and overfishing.To analyze the genetic variations of A.fangsiao caused by the fluctuation of resources,the population genetic structure of nine sampling locations collected from the Bohai Sea to the South China Sea were investigated,using mtDNA COI fragments and microsatellite DNA.The results of F-statistics,AMOVA,STRUCTURE and PCA analyses showed three phylogeographic clades(Clades A,B and C),revealing limited genetic exchange between north and south populations.These clades diverged in 2.23(Clades A and B)and 3.67(Clades A,B and C)million years ago,during the dramatic environmental fluctuations,such as sea level and temperature changes,have exerted great influence on the survival distribution pattern of global organisms.Our results for low genetic connectivity among A.fangsiao populations provide insights into the development of management strategies,that is,to manage this species as separate management unit.

Recent observations of stimulated Raman side-scattering(SRSS)in different laser inertial confinement fusion ignition schemes have revealed that there is an underlying risk of SRSS on ignition.In this paper,we propose a method that uses the nonuniform nature of the polarization of vector light to suppress SRSS,and we give an additional threshold condition determined by the parameters of the vector light.For SRSS at 90°,where the scattered electromagnetic wave travels perpendicular to the density profile,the variation in polarization of the pump will change the wave vector of the scattered light,thereby reducing the growth length and preventing the scattered electromagnetic wave from growing.This suppression scheme is verified through three-dimensional particle-in-cell simulations.Our illustrative simulation results demonstrate that for linearly polarized Gaussian light,there is a strong SRSS signal in the 90°direction,whereas for vector light,there is very little SRSS signal,even when the conditions significantly exceed the threshold for SRSS.We also discuss the impact of vector light on stimulated Raman backscattering,collective stimulated Brillouin scattering and two-plasmon decay.

Objective:To evaluate the anticancer effect of ellagic acid on gastric cancer cells.Methods:MTT assay was used to evaluate the effect of ellagic acid at different concentrations(0.5-100μg/mL)on gastric cancer AGS cells.RT-qPCR and Western blot analyses were applied to assess apoptosis(BCL-2,CASP-3,and BAX)and autophagy(LC3,ATG5,and BECN1)in AGS cells treated with ellagic acid.The expression of invasion-related markers including TP53,CDKN2A,and PTEN was determined.In addition,cell cycle markers including cyclin A,B,D,and E were measured by ELISA.Oxidative stress markers were evaluated using spectrophotometry.Results:Ellagic acid inhibited the proliferation of AGS cells in a concentration-and time-dependent manner.The expression of BCL-2 was significantly decreased(P0.05).Moreover,the oxidative stress markers including SOD,TAC,and MDA were increased by ellagic acid(P<0.01).Conclusions:Ellagic acid can inhibit cell proliferation,induce apoptosis,and modulate oxidative stress in AGS cells.However,further in vivo and molecular studies are needed to verify its anticancer efficacy.

The small yellow croaker(Larimichthys polyactis)belongs to the family Sciaenidae,which is an offshore warm fish species and widely distributed in the western Pacific.In this study,the variation of genetic diversity and genetic differentiation among L.polyactis populations was analyzed by mitochondrial DNA control region.A total of 110 polymorphic sites were checked,which defined 134 haplotypes.High level of haplotype diversity(h=0.993±0.002)was detected in the examined range.Population genetic structure analyse(analysis of molecular variance,Fst)showed there were high gene flow among L.polyactis populations.The result showed that there were relatively high genetic diversity and low genetic differentiation among the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea populations,which can be attributed to diverse habitats,wide distribution range and high mutation rate of control region.Using phylogenetic methods,coalescent analyses(neutrality tests,mismatch distribution analysis,Bayesian skyline analyses)and molecular dating interpreted in conjunction with paleoclimatic and physiographic evidence,we inferred that the genetic make-up of extant populations of L.polyactis was shaped by Pleistocene environmental impacts on the historical demography of this species.Besides,relatively constant genetic diversity and larger effective population size were detected in recent L.polyactis population.The result showed that the fishing policy certainly,such as the summer closed fishing,played a role in protecting resources of L.polyactis.This study can offer a wealth of biological novelties which indicates genetic structure of L.polyactis population and provides the foundation for resources protection and policy setting.

A common and important task in mining industry is to estimate the settlement or final volume of the tailings or backfill associated with sedimentation and self-weight consolidation. Up to now however, most existing analytical solutions were developed by only considering the settlement induced by consolidation. In this paper, the process of shrinkage tests has been compared with those of sedimentation and consolidation. It was shown that the pore water and particles movement in the sedimentation are very similar to that in the normal shrinkage. The void ratio at the end of sedimentation is thus for the first time considered to be equal to the void ratio at desaturation onset of shrinkage tests. An analytical solution was then proposed to estimate the settlement of tailings or backfill by considering the sedimentation and consolidation. To validate the proposed analytical solution, tailing deposition tests were conducted in two molds to simulate the tailings impoundment and underground mine stope. The required parameters were obtained through shrinkage and consolidation tests. Good agreements were obtained between the measured settlements and those calculated by the proposed solution. The proposed solution can thus be considered as validated and used to evaluate the settlement of tailings or backfill slurry.

Cemented paste backfill(CPB)is largely used in underground mine stopes worldwide.When a CPB is placed in a stope,an important task is to estimate the settlement associated with the shrinkage and selfweight consolidation of the CPB.This is closely related to the volume management to ensure the stability of barricades and tight contacts between the backfill and stope roof.Over the years,shrinkage studies were mostly performed on fine-grained soils(silts and clays),with only a few publications on the shrinkage behavior of uncemented tailings.No study has been published on the shrinkage behavior of CPB.To fill this gap,a series of shrinkage tests has been conducted on CPB with different cement contents,including zero cement content(uncemented paste backfill,uCPB).The results show that the shrinkage response of CPB is very different from that of uCPB.At a given initial water content,CPB exhibits a shorter normal shrinkage stage than uCPB.The unsaturation onset water content and void ratio,shrinkage limit and final void ratio of CPB are generally higher than those of uCPB.At a given cement content,the shrinkage behaviors of CPB and uCPB are significantly influenced by the initial water content.

Diagnosing insulation intrinsic ageing is essential for preventing insulation failure of submarine cables,and in case of failure,helping in any decision about maintenance actions.In this study,a novel aged cable diagnosis approach based on high-voltage frequency domain spectroscopy(HV-FDS)with broader frequency width is proposed to analyse the high-field polarisation characteristics and conductivity behaviour of 500 kV submarine polymeric cables insulation,aiming to support the evaluation of overall insulation ageing.The measurement principle of HV-FDS and relaxation mechanism are stated,and then focus is on studying the extent of change of polarisation and conduction properties of submarine cables insulation as a function of ageing stress and time.Moreover,the high-field polarisation characteristics and conductivity behaviour are discussed in-depth based on the carrier transport and trap properties.Finally,the novel diagnostic indicator based on the high-field characteristics is extracted to quantify the thermal ageing state of submarine cables insulation.Results show that the high-field polarisation characteristics and conductivity behaviour seem to become sensitive diagnostic quantities if measured at reasonably high voltage,which are able to reveal mechanisms associated with thermo-oxidative ageing as that generated in the testing procedure considered in this paper.Sensitivity is considerably higher than that experienced in typical dielectric spectroscopy approaches.

In order to accurately describe the transverse relaxation characteristic and stress relaxation modulus of HTPB coating during pre-strain thermal aging process,a one month thermal aging test was carried out at70C with pre-strain of 0%,3%,6%and 9%,respectively.The low-field1 H NMR and stress relaxation modulus tests were carried out for HTPB coating at different aging stages.The stress relaxation model considering the molecular chains was proposed according to the changes of crosslinking chain and dangling chain of HTPB coating during pre-strain aging.The results showed that with the increase of aging time,the decay rate of transverse relaxation curve became faster,the transverse relaxation time decreased,the value of combined parameter q Mrl increased,the proportion of crosslinking chain decreased,while the proportion of dangling chain increased.Moreover,the stress relaxation modulus increased,the crosslinking network structure of HTPB coating became denser and the degree of crosslinking increased.At the initial aging stage,the pre-strain will destroy the crosslinking network structure of HTPB coating to a certain extent.With the increase of aging time,the effect of pre-strain will gradually weaken and the influence of aging on materials will gradually increase.The correlations between the stress relaxation model considering the molecular chains and the test results were more than 0.9950,which can accurately describe the stress relaxation modulus of HTPB coating during the pre-strain thermal aging process.

In order to study the cross-linking density and aging constitutive relationship of HTPB coating during storage,the thermal accelerated aging tests at 0%,3%,6%and 9%prestrains were carried out.The crosslinking density of HTPB coating at different aging stages were tested using low-field^1 H NMR and the variation of cross-linking density was analyzed.The aging model of cross-linking density considering the chemical aging and the physical stretching factors was established.The uniaxial tensile tests were carried out on HTPB coating at different aging stages and the cross-linking density was introduced into Ogden hyperelastic constitutive model as a characterization parameter of correction coefficient.Combined with uniaxial tensile test results,a prestrain aging constitutive model of HTPB coating was established.The results show that the cross-linking density of HTPB coating increases rapidly at first and then slowly with the increase of thermal accelerated aging time without prestrain.Under prestrain conditions,the crosslinking density of HTPB coating decreases at the early stage,and increases rapidly at first and then slowly at the middle and late stages of thermal accelerated aging.The correlation coefficients of aging model of cross-linking density and aging constitutive model with test results are R>0.9500 and R>0.9900 respectively,which can be used to accurately describe the cross-linking density and aging constitutive relationship of HTPB coating under prestrain accelerated thermal aging conditions.

In order to ensure the safe operation of submarine cables,it is of great significance to analyse the insulation state of submarine cables from the perspectives of microstructure,carrier transport characteristics and macroscopic dielectric properties.In this study,based on the high-voltage frequency domain spectroscopy(HV-FDS)measurement system,HV-FDS experiments of fresh and thermally aged submarine cables were carried out under continuous(0.5,2,4 and 10 kV)and cyclic(2-10-2 kV)applied alternating voltages.Then,combining the changes of the microstructure structure of cross-linked poly-ethylene(XLPE)insulation,the aggregate structure deterioration model of XLPE was proposed to discuss the physical mechanism of HV-FDS characteristics of submarine cables under different voltages and insulation states.Results show that the HV-FDS characteristics of submarine cables have significant voltage dependence under contin-uous voltage excitation.The HV-FDS of submarine cables show memory characteristics under cyclic voltage excitation.Compared with the fresh submarine cable,the thermally aged submarine cable shows more significant voltage dependence and memory charac-teristics of HV-FDS.The memory characteristics of HV-FDS are mainly determined by the carriers transport and the interfacial polarisation caused by the accumulation of polar particles at the electrode/dielectric interface.This study covers the correlation mecha-nism among the microstructure,carrier transport and macroscopic HV-FDS properties of submarine cable insulation,which lays a foundation for further research and condition evaluation of submarine cables.
