The spaceborne platform has unprecedently provided the global eddy-permitting(typically about 0.2.°)products of sea surface salinity(SSS),however the existing SSS products can hardly resolve mesoscale motions due to the heavy noises therein and the over-smoothing in denoising *** means of the multi-fractal fusion(MFF),the high-resolution SSS product is synthesized with the template of sea surface temperature(SST).Two low-resolution SSS products and four SST products are considered as the source data and the templates respectively to determine the best *** fused products are validated by the in situ observations and intercompared via SSS maps,Singularity Exponent maps and wavenumber *** results demonstrate that the MFF can perform a good work in mitigating the noises and improving the *** combination of the climate change initiative SSS and the remote sensing system SST can produce the 0.1°denoised product whose global mean standard derivation of salinity against Argo is 0.2. and the feature resolution can reach 30−40 km.

In aluminum killed steels, the size, shape, quantity and formation of non-metallic inclusions in ladle steel (before and after RH vacuum treatment) and in tundish as well as in slabs were studied by EPMA (Electron Probe Microanalysis) and by analyzing the total oxygen. The results showed that in the slabs the total oxygen was quite low and the inclusions discovered were mainly small-sized angular alumina inclusions. This indicates that most inclusions have been removed by floating out during the continuous casting process. In addition, the countermeasures were discussed to decrease the alumina inclusions in the slabs further.

Investigation on the Copper Content of Matte Smelting Slag in Peirce-Smith Converter

The copper contents and its existing forms in the slags during the slag-making stage of Peirce-Smith converters in Guixi Smelter, jiangxi Province, china have been investigated. The investigation was based on plant trials with the corresponding thermodynamic calculations and kinetic considerations. From the plant data, the total copper content in the slags was in the range of 2. to 8% (mass fraction). The mechanical entrainment of matte drops has been found to be the main cause of the copper loss. The suspension index, defined as the ratio of the mass fraction of copper in suspended matte drops in the slag to that in bulk of the matte phase, has been adopted to quantify the matte entrainment. The values of this parameter estimated in this work have been found mainly within a range of 2.5%-8.0%. The Fe3O4 content in the slag has been estimated to be the most important factor, among others, influencing the separation of slag with matte and, consequently, the copper loss from the slag.

Use of traditional mineral oil(MO)as a liquid insulation in transformers has spanned more than 130 ***,MO has poor heat resistance,a low ignition point,and is a non-renewable resource,which does not meet development requirements for high-performance and environmentally friendly insulation ***,researchers have explored alternatives such as natural ester(NE)and synthetic ester(SE)oils,as well as mixed insulation *** insulating oil is a blend of diverse insulating oil types,with optimal performance achieved by adjusting proportions of base *** article summarizes the innovative achievements and development of mixed insulation oil in terms of development of mixed ratio,basic physical chemical properties,electrical properties,thermal stability,and application including operation and maintenance *** these efforts,this article aims to provide recommendations for future development of mixed insulating oils to advance liquid dielectric research based on enhancement mechanisms.

Antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)might have great effect on ecological security and human *** are important reservoirs that receive tremendous amounts of pollutants ***,information on the proliferation of ARGs in seawater is still *** study performed field sampling to investigate the occurrence and distribution of ARGs in seawater of the South china Sea,which is the deepest and largest sea in *** results showed that the total absolute abundances of ARGs in seawater samples ranged from 2.1×10^(3)to 2.3×10^(4)copies/mL,with an of 5.0×10^(3)copies/mL and a range of 2.2.10^(3)–1.8×10^(4)copies/mL for those with mobile genetic elements(MGEs).Genes resistant to multidrug,aminoglycoside,tetracycline,and fluoroquinolone antibiotics accounted for 77.3%–88.6%of total ARGs in *** and Cyanobacteria represented 32.1%–56.2.and 30.4%–49.5%of microbial community,***_MIT9313 and Clade_la were the prevalent genera in seawater of the South china *** co-occurrence relationship existed among ARGs,MGEs,and *** activities had critical influence on ARGs and *** wastewater,wastewater treatment plant effluent,sewage,aquaculture tailwater,and runoff were determined as the important sources of ARGs in seawater of the South china Sea based on positive matrix factorization analysis.

Composite Braking Control Strategy for Electromechanical-Hydraulic Vehicles

Short driving ranges and low braking energy recovery efficiencies are two recognized technical bottlenecks to be overcome in electric vehicles. In this paper, a novel electromechanical-hydraulic coupling system is proposed and integrated as a powertrain for electric vehicles, which can assist the electric vehicle to fully utilize its braking energy. The hydraulic regenerative braking force and electric regenerative braking force can provide all the braking needs using the medium and small braking intensities. Furthermore, an improved compound brake control strategy based on the braking force distribution is proposed and simulated. The results show that under the premise of ensuring braking stability, the electromechanical-hydraulic coupling driving electric vehicle can adapt to various working conditions with excellent energy-saving results. The hydraulic accumulator recovery efficiency is above 99%, and the state of charge consumption rate of the battery pack can be reduced by more than 9%. More importantly, the proposed hybrid power system can significantly improve the driving range and energy efficiency, as well as reduce the consumers' mileage anxiety in electric vehicles.

Effects of Catalyst and Additive Containing Li, Na, or Ca on Reduction of Iron Oxide/Carbon Composite Pellets

The catalyst containing 0.69% (mass fraction) of Li+, Na+, or Ca2. were synthesized, and the catalytic effect on the reduction of iron oxide/carbon composite pellets were investigated by comparing with that of additive at 850 degreesC. The effect of the catalyst was greater than that of the additive, it can be considered that catalyst promoted the formation of iron nucleus early on reduction processes of iron oxide/carbon composite pellets. In addition, both effects of catalyst and additive increased after added carbon powder into the pellets, but the extent of increase decreased when the carbon powder exceeded a suitable content (about 4%), this amount is less than that of carbon needed theoretically on the reduction from hematite to iron.
