High-resolution transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray diffractometry(XRD),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)and hardness test were used to study the re-dissolution and re-precipitation behavior of nano-precipitates of the spray-formed fine-grained Al-Cu-Mg alloy during rapid cold stamping *** show that the extruded Al-Cu-Mg alloy undergoes obvious re-dissolution and re-precipitation during the rapid cold-stamping deformation *** plasticθ′phase has a slower re-dissolution rate than the brittle S′*** long strip-shaped S′phases and the acicularθ′phases in Al-Cu-Mg alloy after three passes of cold stamping basically re-dissolved to form a supersaturated solid solution.A large number of fine granular balanceθphases precipitate after four passes of rapid cold-stamping *** cold stamping deformation causes the S′phase andθ′phase to break and promote the nano-precipitate phases to *** high distortion free energy of the matrix promotes the precipitation of the equilibriumθphase,and the hardness of the alloy obviously increases from HB 55 to HB 125 after the rapid cold stamping process.

The flow stress behavior of spray-formed Al-9Mg-1.1Li-0.5Mn alloy was studied using thermal simulation tests on a Gleeble-3500machine over deformation temperature range of300-450℃and strain rate of0.01-10s^-*** microstructural evolution of the alloy during the hot compression process was characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and electron back scatter diffractometry(EBSD).The results show that the flow stress behavior and microstructural evolution are sensitive to deformation *** peak stress level,steady flow stress,dislocation density and amount of substructures of the alloy increase with decreasing deformation temperature and increasing strain ***,the high angle grain boundary area increases,the grain boundary is in serrated shape and the dynamic recrystallization in the alloy *** microstructure of the alloy is fibrous-like and the main softening mechanism is dynamic recovery during steady deformation *** flow stress behavior can be represented by the Zener-Hollomon parameter Z in the hyperbolic sine equation with the hot deformation activation energy of184.2538kJ/*** constitutive equation and the hot processing map were *** hot processing map exhibits that the optimum processing conditions for Al-9Mg-1.1Li-0.5Mn alloy are in deformation temperature range from380to450℃and strain rate range from0.01to0.1s^-1.

The further improvement of methacrolein(MAL)selectivity from isobutene(IB)oxidation is crucial and *** this study,based on the typical Mo-Bi-Fe-Co-K-O mixed metal oxide,the rare earth element Gd-doped,Ce-doped and CeGd co-doped catalysts were prepared by co-precipitation strategy to increase the selectivity of MAL from 47.9%to 49.8%,64.2% and 68.6%,*** order to elucidate in-depth the promoting effect of Ce and/or Gd,various characterizations were utilized including X-ray diffraction patterns(XRD),Raman,X-ray fluorescence spectrometry(XRF),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),O_(2)-temperature programmed desorption(O_(2)-TPD),H2-temperature programmed reduction(H2-TPR),CO_(2)-temperature programmed desorption(CO_(2)-TPD),IB-temperature programmed desorption(i-C4-TPD)and in-situ IB-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(IB-FTIR).Both Ce and Gd finely regulate the bulk and surface structure of the catalyst,thus altering the redox ability,oxygen mobility and storage ability and *** with Ce,Gd addition slightly regulates the variation of Co^(2+)/Co^(3+)redox couples,greatly enhances the interaction among the components on the catalyst,thus only increases the content of surface oxygen species and has little effect on their *** Cecontaining catalyst performs stronger oxygen storage and migration ability,thus leading to the overproduction of surface Odefectspecies,which are proposed to be the active sites for the production of MAL and *** CeGd co-doped catalyst possesses the proper content of surface Odefectspecies,thus exhibits much higher MAL ***,the promoting mechanism of Ce and/or Gd over IB oxidation is ***,this work is helpful for understanding the influence of rare earth elements on the structure of mixed metal oxides and the olefin selective oxidation reaction.

The low thermal conductivity and light mass of castables for tundish permanent linings are crucial for minimizing the heat loss of molten *** consideration of the low bulk density and thermal conductivity of pearlescent sand,the thermal insulation performance of castables was attempted to be improved by adding pearlescent *** sand was modified to prevent the strength of its porous structure from *** modification mechanism of pearlescent sand and the effect of pearlescent sand on the performance of bauxite castables were *** results suggested that the addition of the modified pearlescent sand significantly raised the apparent porosity and decreased the bulk density of bauxite *** 1000℃,the bulk density of more than 60%of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable was only 2.03 g/cm^(3).The mechanical properties and thermal shock resistance of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable were inferior to those of conventional bauxite castable but were adequate to meet the use conditions of casta-bles for tundish permanent *** high temperatures of 200-800℃,the thermal conductivity of more than 60%of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable was smaller than that of conventional bauxite *** addition of the modified pearlescent sand can greatly reduce the thermal conductivity and bulk density of bauxite castable.

The microstructures and interface structures of basalt particle reinforced 7A04 Al matrix composites (BP/7A04 Al) were analyzed by using OM, TEM, SEM and EDS, and the mechanical properties of 7A04 Al alloy were compared with those of BP/7A04 Al matrix composites. The results show that the basalt particles are dispersed in the Al matrix and form a strong bonding interface with the Al matrix. SiO2 at the edge of the basalt particles is continuously replaced by Al2O3 formed in the reaction, forming a high-temperature reaction layer with a thickness of several tens of nanometers, and Al2O3 strengthens the bonding interface between basalt particles and Al matrix. The dispersed basalt particles promote the dislocation multiplication, vacancy formation and precipitation of the matrix, and the precipitated phases mainly consist of plate-like η(MgZn2) phase and bright white band-shaped or ellipsoidal T (Al2Mg3Zn3) phase. The bonding interface, high dislocation density and dispersion strengthening phase significantly improve the mechanical properties of the composites. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of BP/7A04 Al matrix composites are up to 665 and 699 MPa, which increase by 11.4% and 10.9% respectively compared with 7A04 Al alloy without basalt particles.

Autologous grafts of double-strut fibular cortical bone plate to treat the fractures and defects of distal femur： a case report and review of literature

We reported a 23-year-old man who was involved in a high-speed motorcycle accident. He sustained a closed fracture at the right distal femur. The primary fracture happened on February 2008. He underwent open reduction and internal fixation with cloverleaf plate. And one hundred days after the surgery, the proximal screws were pulled-out, but the bone union was not achieved. Treatment consisted of exchanging the cloverleaf plate with a locking compression plate and using an auto-iliac bone graft to fill the nonunion gap. In July 2009, the patient had a sharp pain in the right lower limb. The X-ray revealed that the plate implanted last year was broken, causing a nonunion at the fracture site. Immediately the plate and screws were removed and an intramedullary nail was inserted reversely from the distal femur as well as a 7 cm long bone from the right fibula was extracted and longitudinally split into two pieces to construct cortical bone plates. Then we placed them laterally and medially to fracture site, drilled two holes respectively, and fastened them with suture. We carried on auto-iliac bone grafting with the nonunion bone grafts. The follow-up at 15 months after operation showed that the treatment was successful, X-ray confirmed that there was no rotation and no angular or short deformity. We briefly reviewed the literature regarding such an unusual presentation and discussed in details the possible etiology and the advantages of autologous double-strut fibular grafts to cope with such an intractable situation.

Sensory conflict impacts postural control,yet its effect on cortico-muscular interaction remains *** aimed to investigate sensory conflict's influence on the cortico-muscular network and postural *** used a rotating platform and virtual reality to present subjects with congruent and incongruent sensory input,recorded EEG(electroencephalogram)and EMG(electromyogram)data,and constructed a directed connectivity *** results suggest that,compared to sensory congruence,during sensory conflict:(1)connectivity among the sensorimotor,visual,and posterior parietal cortex generally decreases,(2)cortical control over the muscles is weakened,(3)feedback from muscles to the cortex is strengthened,and(4)the range of body sway increases and its complexity *** results underline the intricate effects of sensory conflict on cortico-muscular *** the sensory conflict,the brain adaptively decreases the integration of conflicting *** this integrated information,cortical control over muscles may be lessened,whereas the muscle feedback may be enhanced in compensation.
