Meiotic recombination is essential for reciprocal exchange of genetic information between homologous chromosomes and their subsequent proper segregation in sexually reproducing organisms. MLH1 and MLH3 belong to meiosis-specific members of the Mut L-homolog family, which are required for normal level of crossovers(COs) in some eukaryotes. However, their functions in plants need to be further elucidated.Here, we report the identification of Os MLH1 and reveal its functions during meiosis in rice. Using CRISPRCas9 approach, two independent mutants, Osmlh1-1 and Osmlh1-2, are generated and exhibited significantly reduced male fertility. In Osmlh1-1, the clearance of PAIR2 is delayed and partial ZEP1 proteins are not loaded into the chromosomes, which might be due to the deficient in resolution of interlocks at late zygotene. Thus, Os MLH1 is required for the assembly of synapsis complex. In Osmlh1-1, CO number is dropped by ~53% and the distribution of residual COs is consistent with predicted Poisson distribution,indicating that Os MLH1 is essential for the formation of interference-sensitive COs(class I COs). Os MLH1 interacts with Os MLH3 through their C-terminal domains. Mutation in Os MLH3 also affects the pollen fertility. Thus, our experiments reveal that the conserved heterodimer Mut Lg(Os MLH1-Os MLH3) is essential for the formation of class I COs in rice.

Due to increasingly serious environmental problems,many researchers are investigating green cleanenergy to solve the world’s energy supply issues.So the strategy that Au nanoparticles(Au NPs)and bismuth sulfide(Bi2S3)NPs are used to evenly decorate TiO2 nanotube arrays(TiO2 NTAs)was carried out.Composite materials demonstrated enhanced solar light absorption ability and excellent photoelectrochemical performance.This was attributed to the presence of Bi2S3 NPs with a narrow band gap and the decoration with noble metallic Au NPs which resulted in local surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)effects.The Au/Bi2S3@TiO2 NTAs composites exhibit improved photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue(MB)under irradiation of UV and visible light.Moreover,the Au/Bi2S3@TiO2 NTAs exhibits high fluorescence emission at 822 nm.Due to the better binding affinity between Bi2S3,TiO2 and Fe3+ions,the synthesized nanocomposites exhibit high selectivity to Fe3+ions.The number of binding sites for Au/Bi2S3@TiO2 NTAs was estimated to be 1.41 according to the double logarithmic regression method.The calculated value of"K"was 1862 M-1.Fluorescence emission intensity decreases with increasing concentration(30μM–5000μM).The detection limit of the synthesized sensor is 0.221μM.

This paper develops a model for analyzing the potential of longer and heavier vehicles (LHVs) related to pre- and post-haulage in the intermodal rail-road transport chain (IRT). The paper considers the combined economic and emission costs among three different transport networks including intermodal rail-road transport with current Swedish regulatory framework for trucks, intermodal rail-road transport with LHVs, and direct-road transport. The objective is to analyse the potential of high-capacity transport associated with pre- and post-haulage for enhancing the competitiveness of intermodal transport from a full-costs perspective. The model developed is applied to a Swedish context and case study. Research findings reveal that the break-even of the IRT compared to the direct road transport could be significantly lowered, which suggests the LHVs contribute to exploring the market of IRT over smaller flows.

目的旨在开发一种踝护具内翻防护性能仿真测试系统,以客观地评价踝护具的内翻防护性能、替代人体试验、减少主观因素及个体差异对测试结果的影响。方法踝护具内翻防护性能仿真测试系统主要包括人体踝关节仿真模型、动力机构和着陆斜台等,以模拟人体高空着陆过程。以新型非对称半刚性防护型踝护具为实验对象,以传统踝护具与裸足作为对照,评价指标为踝关节最大内翻角,验证系统的可行性与可靠性。结果踝护具内翻防护性能仿真测试系统结构简单、操作便捷、可重复性好。测试结果客观、数据离散小,能够客观反映踝护具的内翻防护性能,表明新型非对称半刚性踝护具具有良好的内翻防护性能。结论本研究解决了人体试验数据重复性低、离散大等问题,可为进一步推动踝护具内翻防护性能评价标准的建立提供参考。

为研究不同土壤改良剂对设施黄瓜(Cucumis sativus L.Del 99)连作障碍的影响,本试验于2018—2020年在宁夏园艺产业园区内进行,设置对照组(CK)、蚯蚓粪(V)、脱硫石膏(G)及蚯蚓粪与脱硫石膏配施(G+V)处理,探究不同处理对土壤物理性质、土壤酶活性、土壤微生物群落分布、黄瓜品质及产量的影响,并将其纳入土壤质量指数(SQI),进行拟合分析。结果表明,与对照相比,蚯蚓粪与脱硫石膏配施(G+V)能降低北方地区连作土壤的pH值,增加土壤电导率(EC)、有机质、速效氮、速效磷、速效钾含量。蚯蚓粪配施脱硫石膏的细菌门、属群落丰富度最高,且放线菌门(Actinobacteria)比例随种植年限增加而增加。连续种植四茬后,施加各改良剂均能显著增加黄瓜产量,相较于对照组以蚯蚓粪+脱硫石膏配施(G+V)处理增幅较高,各茬相比于对照组分别增加19.81%、31.47%、11.36%、14.98%。相关分析结果显示,土壤综合质量指数(SQI)与黄瓜产量呈显著正相关关系。综上,蚯蚓粪与脱硫石膏(G+V)配施能够协同改善设施连作土壤综合质量指数,提升设施黄瓜产量。本研究结果为我国北方地区设施蔬菜的可持续生产和设施连作障碍的改善提供了理论参考。

Persulfate is considered a convenient and efficient remediation agent for organic contaminated soil.However,the potential risk of sulfur into the soil remediation by persulfate remains ignored.In this study,glass bottles with different persulfate dosages and groundwater tables were set up to simulate persulfate remediation of organic pollutants(aniline).The results found sulfate to be the main end-product(83.0%–99.5%)of persulfate remediation after10 days.Moreover,H_(2)S accounted for 93.4%–99.4%of sulfur reduction end-products,suggesting that H_(2)S was the final fate of sulfur.H_(2)S was released rapidly after one to three days at a maximum concentration of 33.0 ppm,which is sufficient to make a person uncomfortable.According to the fitted curve results,H_(2)S concentration decreased to a safe concentration(0.15 ppm)after 20–85 days.Meanwhile,the maximum concentration of methanethiol reached 0.6 ppm.These results indicated that secondary pollution from persulfate remediation could release harmful gases over a long time.Therefore,persulfate should be used more carefully as a remediation agent for soil contamination.

Recent progress in targeted metabolic therapy of cancer has been limited by the considerable toxicity associated with such drugs.To address this challenge,we developed a smart theranostic prodrug system that combines a fluorophore and an anticancer drug,specifically 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine(DON),using a thioketal linkage(TK).This system enables imaging,chemotherapy,photodynamic therapy,and on-demand drug release upon radiation exposure.The optimized prodrug,DON-TK-BM3,incorporating cyanine dyes as the fluorophore,displayed potent reactive oxygen species release and efficient tumor cell killing.Unlike the parent drug DON,DON-TK-BM3 exhibited no toxicity toward normal cells.Moreover,DON-TK-BM3 demonstrated high tumor accumulation and reduced side effects,including gastrointestinal toxicity,in mice.This study provides a practical strategy for designing prodrugs of metabolic inhibitors with significant toxicity stemming from their lack of tissue selectivity.

Investigation on the Transient Thermal Performance of a Mini-Channel Cold Plate for Battery Thermal Management

Cold plate is an important component for a liquid battery thermal management system.In order to study the transient thermal performance of the cold plate under conditions with sharply increasing heat loads,the numerical model of a battery cold plate is established.The validation experiment shows that the error between the simulation and experiment is around 2.5%to 5%.Effects of the coolant flow rate,the increase in heat flux,and the channel number are analyzed to study the transient thermal performance of the cold plate.Results show that the average temperature of the cold plate at 540 s is lowered from 28.3℃ to 26.9℃ when the coolant flow rate is raised from 0.065 kg/s to 0.165 kg/s.The temperature deviation is decreased when the coolant flow rate is increased from 0.065 kg/s to 0.115 kg/s;however,it is slightly increased if the coolant flow rate is further increased.Both average temperature and temperature deviation are raised if the final heat flux is increased from11000 W/m^(2) to 16500 W/m^(2),which are 2 and 3 times of the initial,respectively.In addition,increasing the channel number has slightly positive effect on the average temperature of the cold plate,while the temperature deviation is increased when the channel number is increased from 3 to 11 due to the non-uniform velocity distribution between each channel.The results of this study will be helpful during the design of cold plate for battery thermal management,especially for transient conditions with sudden rising heat loads like thermal runaway.

Measurement Uncertainty Analysis of the Rotary-scan Method for the Measurable Dimension of Cylindrical Workpieces

The measurement uncertainty analysis is carried out to investigate the measurable dimensions of cylindrical workpieces by the rotary-scan method in this paper.Due to the difficult alignment of the workpiece with a diameter of less than 3 mm by the rotary scan method,the measurement uncertainty of the cylindrical workpiece with a diameter of 3 mm and length of 50 mm which is measured by a roundness measuring machine,is evaluated according to GUM(Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement)as an example.Since the uncertainty caused by the eccentricity of the measured workpiece is different with the dimension changing,the measurement uncertainty of cylindrical workpieces with other dimensions can be evaluated the same as the diameter of 3 mm but with different eccentricity.Measurement uncertainty caused by different eccentricities concerning the dimension of the measured cylindrical workpiece is set to simulate the evaluations.Compared to the target value of the measurement uncertainty of 0.1μm,the measurable dimensions of the cylindrical workpiece can be obtained.Experiments and analysis are presented to quantitatively evaluate the reliability of the rotary-scan method for the roundness measurement of cylindrical workpieces.

将非认知能力引入社会地位获得模型,创建了NCA-B-D框架。采用中国综合社会调查数据,运用层级回归分析法和中介效应检验法,探究教育禀赋和非认知能力对个体社会地位获得的影响。研究发现:本人教育履历显著驱动社会地位生产及其再生产;父亲与母亲教育资历对子女社会地位获得存在赞助性升迁效应;非认知能力积极促进社会地位生产及再生产;非认知能力在教育引致客观社会地位当期回报与跨期回报中都发挥显著的中介效应;非认知能力在教育激发竞争性及赞助性主观社会地位获得中发挥部分中介效应;教育通过非认知能力中介路径促成竞争性和赞助性社会地位再生产。研究结果为NCA-B-D框架提供了证据支撑,揭开了教育改变命运之谜,为教育赋能夯实理论基础。
