New potential barite reference materials for LA-MC-ICP-MS sulfur isotope analysis with application to hydrothermal barite in the Huayangchuan deposit， western China

Sulfur isotopes of S-bearing materials are powerful tools to trace various geological processes and sulfur sources in earth sciences， especially in ore deposits where sulfide-sulfate pair coprecipitates widely. However， in-situ S isotope determination of barite is challenging without natural matrix-matched reference material. In this study， we present two natural barite reference materials （1-YS and 2.4-YS） for in-situ sulfur isotopic analysis. Independent LA-MC-ICP-MS laboratories were utilized to test the δ34S micron-scale homogeneity of 1-YS and 2.4-YS barites that have 2. repeatabilities of better than ±0.45 ‰ and ±0.41 ‰， respectively. Meanwhile， the in-situ analysis results are consistent with the results of the bulk analysis by GS-IRMS within uncertainty. The grand mean δ34S values of 1-YS （13.37‰ ± 0.42.‰， 2.） and 2.4-YS （14.38‰ ± 0.44 ‰， 2.） are the final recommended values obtained from four independent laboratories. All the results confirm the suitability of 1-YS and 2.4-YS barite used as calibration materials with respect to in-situ S isotopic analysis. Moreover， the new developed barite reference materials were used as matrix-matched standard to calibrate the barite samples from the Huayangchuan carbonatite-hosted U-polymetallic deposit （Qinling orogenic belt， western China） to obtain δ34S values. Utilizing the temperature-dependent δ34S fractionation of barite-pyrite pair， we calculate the formation temperature of barite （i.e.， 506 to 537 ℃） and the δ34S value of mineralizing fluid （i.e.， -7.11‰ to -7.59 ‰） in the Huayangchuan deposit. The results indicate an involvement of sedimentary sulfur， presumably acting as a potential uranium source （e.g.， upper crustal materials） for the giant Huayangchuan deposit.

Pathological vascular remodeling is a hallmark of various vascular *** research has established the significance of andrographolide in maintaining gastric vascular homeostasis and its pivotal role in modulating endothelial barrier dysfunction,which leads to pathological vascular *** dehydroandrographolide succinate(PDA),a derivative of andrographolide,has been clinically utilized in the treatment of inflammatory diseases precipitated by viral *** study investigates the potential of PDA in regulating pathological vascular *** effect of PDA on vascular remodeling was assessed through the complete ligation of the carotid artery in C57BL/6 *** approaches,including rat aortic primary smooth muscle cell culture,flow cytometry,bromodeoxyuridine(BrdU)incorporation assay,Boyden chamber cell migration assay,spheroid sprouting assay,and Matrigel-based tube formation assay,were employed to evaluate the influence of PDA on the proliferation and motility of smooth muscle cells(SMCs).Molecular docking simulations and co-immunoprecipitation assays were conducted to examine protein *** results revealed that PDA exacerbates vascular injury-induced pathological remodeling,as evidenced by enhanced neointima *** treatment significantly increased the proliferation and migration of *** mechanistic studies disclosed that PDA upregulated myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88)expression in SMCs and interacted with T-cadherin(CDH13).This interaction augmented proliferation,migration,and extracellular matrix deposition,culminating in pathological vascular *** findings underscore the critical role of PDA in the regulation of pathological vascular remodeling,mediated through the MyD88/CDH13 signaling pathway.

Anti-hepatocarcinoma effect of polysaccharides extracted from Lactarius hatsudake Tanaka mushroom: in vitro and in vivo studies

Edible mushroom polysaccharides demonstrate a range of bioactivities and have been investigated as potential adjuvant therapies for cancer treatment. Our prior research found Lactariks hatsudake Tanaka polysaccharide (LHP) effective against hepatocellular carcinoma， but the mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to clarify the anti-cancer molecular mechanisms by examining the effects on specific signaling pathways through in vivo and in vitro analyses. Animal studies showed that LHP significantly inhibited the growth of transplanted liver cancer without toxicity. Histological and immunohistochemical analyses revealed that LHP increased nuclear cohesion in tumor cells and altered the expression of key regulatory proteins such as Ak strain transformation， nuclear factor kappa B， caspase-3， p2.， and p53. These findings suggest that LHP's anticancer effects involve promoting apoptosis and disrupting the cell cycle. At the cellular level， assays such as MTS， flow cytometry， and transwell invasion confirmed that LHP inhibited cancer cell proliferation and induced apoptosis. Polymerase chain reaction and western blot assays revealed that LHP intervention reduced cyclin-dependent kinase 4 activity by upregulating p53 and p2.， leading to cell cycle arrest and inhibited cell proliferation. LHP also promoted apoptosis by altering Bcl-2.associated X protein， B-cell lymphoma 2. and cleaved caspase-3 levels. Moreover， LHP could affect the Ak strain transformation， nuclear factor kappa B， and mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathways to exert anticancer effects. These findings underscore the potential of LHP as a novel and multifaceted therapeutic agent. Furthermore， the elucidation of LHP-related mechanisms offers a crucial theoretical foundation for developing innovative and effective treatments for hepatocellular carcinoma. Additionally， this supports its potential development as a functional food or adjuvant therapy for cancer， which holds significant implication

Objective:To provide high-quality clinical evidence of the efficacy of Tibetan medicine Honghua Ruyi(HHRY)pills for endometriosis-associated ***:This study constitutes a multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trial encompassing a three-menstrual cycle intervention followed by a three-menstrual cycle follow-up period.A total of 164 eligible females with endometriosis-associated dysmenorrhea were randomly divided into HHRY pills and placebo groups in a 1:1 *** primary outcome included dysmenorrhea symptoms assessed using Visual Analog Scale(VAS)scores and quality of life,whereas the secondary outcome measures included the maximum VAS for non-menstrual pelvic pain,duration of pain episodes(in days),frequency and quantity of the consumption of ibuprofen sustained-release capsules(or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs),and days off work/study for staff/student due to dysmenorrhea,ovarian cyst,and/or pelvic nodule *** safety was monitored throughout the treatment *** the analyses were based on the intention-to-treat *** continuous outcomes,simple or multiple linear regressions were used to estimate the differences between the HHRY pills and placebo groups,with categorical data expressed as the number and percentage of *** were compared using the chi-square test or Fisher's exact *** predefined analysis was adjusted for concomitant treatment,a variable considered to be associated with outcomes but unaffected by treatment *** of treatment effects were reported with 95%confidence ***-tailed P values≤.05 were considered statistically ***:Positive results from this trial,upon completion would provide robust evidence for the efficacy and safety of HHRY pills in treating dysmenorrhea in patients with endometriosis.

Although various anti-osteoporosis drugs are available,the limitations of these therapies,including drug resistance and collateral responses,require the development of novel anti-osteoporosis *** Drynariae displays a promising anti-osteoporosis effect,while the effective component and mechanism remain ***,we revealed the therapeutic potential of Rhizoma Drynariae-derived nanovesicles(RDNVs)for postmenopausal osteoporosis and demonstrated that RDNVs potentiated osteogenic differentiation of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(hBMSCs)by targeting estrogen receptor-alpha(ERα).RDNVs,a natural product isolated from fresh Rhizoma Drynariae root juice by differential ultracentrifugation,exhibited potent bone tissue-targeting activity and anti-osteoporosis efficacy in an ovariectomized mouse ***,effectively internalized by hBMSCs,enhanced proliferation and ERαexpression levels of hBMSC,and promoted osteogenic differentiation and bone ***,via the ERαsignaling pathway,RDNVs facilitated mRNA and protein expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2.and runt-related transcription factor 2.in hBMSCs,which are involved in regulating osteogenic *** analysis revealed that naringin,existing in RDNVs,was the active component targeting ERαin the osteogenic *** together,our study identified that naringin in RDNVs displays exciting bone tissue-targeting activity to reverse osteoporosis by promoting hBMSCs proliferation and osteogenic differentiation through estrogen-like effects.

目前学界关于福斯特《霍华德庄园》的研究多聚焦在社会、政治层面,而较少关注其中“霍华德庄园”表意的物人关系。2.世纪初,伦敦城市化进程加快,租房成为主流的住房消费模式,人与房子之间的紧密关系受到挑战。小说通过刻画威尔科克斯家族、伦纳德和施莱格尔姐妹与房子不同的连接关系,描绘了三组人物各自对“家”的认知和情感关系,展现出英国土地制度改革背景下家园想象的复杂性及当时的家园焦虑问题。福斯特认为,人与房子的融合有助于形成空间感,摆脱流动感,回归大地之家。霍华德庄园不仅是“家”的具象表征,还是福斯特新物质主义式“家”思想的具体体现,反映了作家对英国现代社会中物人关系的前瞻性思考。

Although transvaginal mesh(TVM)repair is no longer used in some countries,long-term outcomes after TVM surgery are of great importance ***,reports with follow-up>10 years are ***,this study aimed to report outcomes in a prospective cohort with at least 10 years of *** with stageⅢ–Ⅳsymptomatic prolapse were approached consecutively from 2.08 to 2.13 at one tertiary *** main outcome measure was symptomatic *** outcomes included anatomic failure,recurrence,patient satisfaction,complications,and *** Kaplan-Meier curve was used to estimate the cumulative failure *** the 12. patients enrolled in the study,103(85.1%)completed a median follow-up of 11 *** estimated probability rates of symptomatic and anatomic failure were 17.6%and 8.8%in 11 years,*** estimated incidence of symptomatic failure increased by 8.2.between 5 and 11 years;however,the corresponding rate for anatomic failure was 3.7%.The most common complication was vaginal mesh exposure,and its estimated probability increased from 19.3%to 2..4%from 5 to 11 years,*** trimming resolved 80.0%of vaginal *** patients did not report decreased overall *** with vaginal mesh exposure requiring>3 office procedures or mesh removal in the operating room(5.8%by 11 years)had lower satisfaction rates(P2.were 2.5%,3.3%,and 94.2.,*** results of this study implied that TVM treatment gradually increased the symptomatic failure rate but provided durable anatomical support of the vaginal *** mesh exposure was common in women who were largely not sexually active;however,80%of the cases could be managed in the outpatient clinic,which did not affect patient satisfaction.

Measurement Uncertainty Analysis of the Rotary-scan Method for the Measurable Dimension of Cylindrical Workpieces

The measurement uncertainty analysis is carried out to investigate the measurable dimensions of cylindrical workpieces by the rotary-scan method in this *** to the difficult alignment of the workpiece with a diameter of less than 3 mm by the rotary scan method,the measurement uncertainty of the cylindrical workpiece with a diameter of 3 mm and length of 50 mm which is measured by a roundness measuring machine,is evaluated according to GUM(Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement)as an *** the uncertainty caused by the eccentricity of the measured workpiece is different with the dimension changing,the measurement uncertainty of cylindrical workpieces with other dimensions can be evaluated the same as the diameter of 3 mm but with different *** uncertainty caused by different eccentricities concerning the dimension of the measured cylindrical workpiece is set to simulate the *** to the target value of the measurement uncertainty of 0.1μm,the measurable dimensions of the cylindrical workpiece can be *** and analysis are presented to quantitatively evaluate the reliability of the rotary-scan method for the roundness measurement of cylindrical workpieces.

The established and ongoing prevalence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2.SARS-CoV-2.and seasonal human coronaviruses(HCoV)like HCoV-OC43,HCoV-NL63,and HCoV-2.9E,pose a continuous threat to public ***,it is urgently needed to explore antiviral drugs with broad-spectrum anti-coronavirus *** previous studies have revealed that lycorine is a potent broad-spectrum anti-coronavirus drug,a natural alkaloid extracted from Amaryllidaceae with various pharmacological and microbiological ***,it is unsafe to directly use lycorine as a clinical antiviral drug due to the cytotoxicity and induction of cell *** this study,a series of lycorine derivatives were designed and *** of them,named Ly-8,was found to effectively inhibit the replication of different coronavirus strains in vitro,including ***,Ly-8 was also shown to effectively inhibit HCoVOC43 replication in the central nervous system,and provide effective protection against HCoV-OC43 infection in mice with low drug ***,Ly-8-resistant mutants were not observed during the 30 times sequential passages in cell ***,these findings suggest that Ly-8 may be a potential candidate drug for the future development of broad-spectrum anti-coronavirus drugs.
