Subcarrier and power allocation in OFDM-based cognitive radio networks

We formulate the subcarrier and power allocation problem in cognitive radio networks employing orthogonal frequency division multiplexing （OFDM） as a non-linear optimization problem with the objective of maximizing sum capacity under constraints of available subcarriers, interference temperature, power budget, etc. A close-to-optimal solution with much reduced complexity is proposed to separate the problem into two steps, which also considers fairness among secondary users. A fair al- gorithm for subcarrier allocation （FA_SA） is firstly presented. Secondly, a fast iterative water-filling algorithm for power allocation （FIWFA_PA） is also proposed to maximize the sum capacity. Exten- sive simulation results show that sum capacity performance of our low-complexity solution is very close to the optimal one, while significantly improving fairness and reducing computation complexity compared with the existing solutions.

Multidimensional data provides enormous opportunities in a variety of applications. Recent research has indicated the failure of existing sanitization techniques （e.g., k-anonymity） to provide rigorous privacy guarantees. Privacy- preserving multidimensional data publishing currently lacks a solid theoretical foundation. It is urgent to develop new techniques with provable privacy guarantees, e-Differential privacy is the only method that can provide such guarantees. In this paper, we propose a multidimensional data publishing scheme that ensures c-differential privacy while providing accurate results for query processing. The proposed solution applies nonstandard wavelet transforms on the raw multidimensional data and adds noise to guarantee c-differential privacy. Then, the scheme processes arbitrarily queries directly in the noisy wavelet- coefficient synopses of relational tables and expands the noisy wavelet coefficients back into noisy relational tuples until the end result of the query. Moreover, experimental results demonstrate the high accuracy and effectiveness of our approach.

A New Method for Predicting Wall Sticking Occurrence Temperature of High Water Cut Crude Oil

In crude oil transportation, adhesion of oil on pipe wall can cause partial or total blockage of the pipe. This process is significantly affected by wall sticking occurrence temperature(WSOT). In this work, an efficient approach for estimating WSOT of high water-cut oil, which can agree well with the actual environment of multiphase transportation pipeline, is proposed. Based on the energy dissipation theory, it is possible to make comparison of average shear rates between the stirred vessel and the flow loop. The impacts of water content and shear rate on WSOT are investigated using the stirred vessel and the flow loop. Good agreement has been observed between the stirred vessel and the flow loop results with the maximum and the average absolute deviations equating to 3.30 °C and 2.18 °C, respectively. The development of gathering scheme can enjoy some benefits from this method.

Polygonum cuspidatum (P. cuspidatum) is an herbaceous perennial plant known as Asian knotweed that is used in Chinese medicine due to its active components. Recent studies of the uric acid-lowering activity of P. cuspidatum extracts have mainly focused on analysis of its crude extract or specific chemical components, with limited research about its uric acid-lowering activity in vivo. In present study, monomeric compounds with higher uric acid-lowering ability were isolated from P. cuspidatum extract by column chromatography and thin-layer chro-matography (TLC) and tested in a hyperuricemia mouse model and xanthine oxidase (XOD) inhibition assay in vitro. Structural characterization of the isolated components was performed by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and the potential mechanism of decreasing uric acid was analyzed using untargeted metabolomics. Two main novel compounds were isolated and identified, 1-(4-hydroxy-2-methoxyphenyl)-2-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)butane-1,2,3-triol (compound 1) and 1-(4-hydroxy-2-methoxyphenyl)-2-(4-hy-droxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)-3-methylbutane-1,2-diol (compound 2), and compounds 1 was proved more signif-icant inhibitory effect on the activity of XOD (p < 0.01) with inhibition of 49.80%. Metabolomics analysis indicated that the fractions (compound 1 and compound 2) affected hyperuricemic mice mainly through changes in galactose metabolism (p = 5.74E-4) and the effects were closely related to metabolic pathways of organic acid, carbohydrate, and lipid metabolism. These results contribute to providing theoretical support for the utilization of P. cuspidatum as a food and medicinal material, which can increase its use as an alternative treatment for hyperuricemia.

Insufficient sleep can produce a multitude of deleterious repercussions on various domains of human ***,the walnut(Juglans mandshurica)confers numerous salutary biological activities pertaining to ***,the sedative and hypnotic capacities of walnut's functional constituents remain *** this investigation,we analyzed the sedative and hypnotic components of the walnut Diaphragma juglandis fructus and innovatively discovered a compound,defined as 3-hydroxy-4-iminobutyric acid(HIBA),which disrupts motor activity and enhances sleep duration by regulating the neurotransmitters(GABA,DA,etc.)within the brain and serum of ***,a metabolomics approach of the serum,basal ganglia,hypothalamus,and hippocampus as well as the gut microbiota was undertaken to unravel the underlying molecular mechanisms of sleep *** data reveal that HIBA can regulate the metabolism of basal ganglia(sphingolipids,acylcarnitines,etc.),possibly in relation to HIBA's influence on the gut microbiome(Muribaculum,Bacteroides,Lactobacillus,etc.).Therefore,we introduce a novel natural product,HIBA,and explicate the modulation of sleep promotion in mice based on the microbiota-gut-brain *** study contributes fresh insights toward natural product-based sleep research.

Vaccines have proven effective in protecting populations against COVID-19,including the recombinant COVID-19 vaccine(Sf9 cells),the first approved recombinant protein vaccine in *** this positive-controlled trial with 85 adult participants(Sf9 cells group:n=44;CoronaVac group:n=41),we evaluated the safety,immunogenicity,and protective effectiveness of a heterologous boost with the Sf9 cells vaccine in adults who had been vaccinated with the inactivated vaccine,and found a post-booster adverse events rate of 20.45%in the Sf9 cells group and 31.71%in the CoronaVac group(p=0.279),within 28 days after booster *** group reported any severe adverse *** the Sf9 cells vaccine booster,the geometric mean titer(GMT)of binding antibodies to the receptor-binding domain of prototype SARS-CoV-2 on day 28 post-booster was significantly higher than that induced by the CoronaVac vaccine booster(100,683.37 vs.9,451.69,p<0.001).In the Sf9 cells group,GMTs of neutralizing antibodies against pseudo SARS-CoV-2 viruses(prototype and diverse variants of concern[VOCs])increased by 22.23–75.93 folds from baseline to day 28 post-booster,while the CoronaVac group showed increases of only 3.29–10.70 ***,neutralizing antibodies against live SARS-CoV-2 viruses(prototype and diverse VOCs)increased by 68.18–192.67 folds on day 14 post-booster compared with the baseline level,significantly greater than the CoronaVac group(19.67–37.67 folds).A more robust Th1 cellular response was observed with the Sf9 cells booster on day 14 post-booster(mean IFN-γ+spot-forming cells per 2×105 peripheral blood mononuclear cells:26.66 vs.13.59).Protective effectiveness against symptomatic COVID-19 was approximately twice as high in the Sf9 cells group compared to the CoronaVac group(68.18%vs.36.59%,p=0.004).Our study findings support the high protective effectiveness of heterologous boosting with the recombinant COVID-19 vaccine(Sf9 cells)against symptomatic COVID-19 of dive

Due to the competition and high cost associated with die casting defects, it is urgent to adopt a rapid and effective method for defect analysis. In this research, a novel expert network approach was proposed to avoid some disadvantages of rule-based expert system. The main objective of the system is to assist die casting engineer in identifying defect, determining the probable causes of defect and proposing remedies to eliminate the defect. 14 common die casting defects could be identified quickly by expert system on the basis of their characteristics. BP neural network in combination with expert system was applied to map the complex relationship between causes and defects, and further explained the cause determination process. Cause determination gives due consideration to practical process conditions. Finally, corrective measures were recommended to eliminate the defect and implemented in the sequence of difficulty.

The performance of asymmetric supercapacitors(ASCs)is strongly restricted by the capacity gap between the positive and negative *** address this issue,two new electrode materials deriving from Co‐and Fe‐based metal–organic frameworks(MOFs,Co‐TAMBA‐d,and Fe‐TAMBA‐d)through a single‐step sintering method have been developed by considering the superiorities of the derivatives of MOFs including large surface areas,sufficient metal‐atom‐doping content,and extreme surface wettability to the bath *** as‐prepared Co‐TAMBA‐d as a positive electrode delivers typical pseudocapacitive behavior with the improvement of capacity,which is better than those of pristine MOF materials,while Fe‐TAMBA‐d as negative electrodes displays better electrochemical behavior than those of activated *** based on these two electrodes exhibits excellent energy density and power density of 47Wh/kg and 1658 W/kg,respectively,where this device can maintain prominent cycling stability with capacity retention after 5000 cycles being about 75%.Furthermore,the capacity can feed a series of red light‐emitting diodes,which gives solid evidence of the potential *** results can afford the feasibility of isostructural MOF derivatives as promising electrodes in novel ASCs.

In the paper, three farms of Jiansanjiang Farming Bureau and five villages in of Dayushu Town in Fujin county randomly were taken as data sources for the investigation of household behavior of reclamation and agricultural area under different land systems, and it can be concluded that the main content included production scale, arable land use structure, household behavior and economic benefits. By comparison and analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of reclamation and agricultural area can be found, which could provide references for agricultural land reform for achieving a more suitable socio-economic of efficient use and sustained and healthy development of agriculture.
