P2-type layered oxide,Na_(2/3)Ni_(1/3)Mn_(2/3)O_(2),has drawn particular interest as a promising cathode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to its fast sodium-ion transport channels with low migration ***,some catastrophic flaws,such as air instability,complicated multiphase evolution,and irreversible anionic redox,limit its electrochemical performance and hinder its ***,an air-stable single-crystal P2-type Na_(2/3)Ni_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Ti_(1/3)O_(2)is proposed based on the multifunctional structural modulation of Ti substitution that could alleviate the issues for practical *** a result,the cathode with high energy density shows excellent air stability and highly reversible phase transitions(P2–OP4),and delivers faster kinetics and stable anion redox ***,a thorough investigation of the relationship between structure,function,and properties is demonstrated,emphasizing formation processes,electrochemical behavior,structural evolution,and air ***,this study provides the direction of multifunctional structural modulation for the development of high-performance sodium-based layered cathode materials for practical applications.

Comparison of Few-layer Graphene Prepared from Natural Graphite through Fast Synthesis Approach

We report the synthesis of high quality few-layer graphene on a large scale using high purity natural graphite from Sri Lanka. A novel thermal method was adapted to prepare graphene from intermediate graphite oxide, which was obtained by heating the intermediate at low temperature （above 150 ℃） in air for 5 min and subsequent heating at 500℃ in Argon for 15 min. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, Raman spec- troscopy etc. The properties and the performance of graphene were observed to depend on the graphite source. The reduced graphite oxide from Kahatagaha graphite source exhibits higher Brunauer-Emmett- Teller specific surface area -500 m^2 g^-1 and stable specific capacity as an anode in Li-ion batteries, whereas Bogala graphite showed higher initial irreversibility and higher capacity as anode, exceeding the theo- retical specific capacity of graphite. Both graphenes showed high electrical conductivity. The graphene, which exists in stacks of only a few layers, supposed to be 2-6 layers, would be promising for a vast variety of applications.

Performance development of styrene-butadiene copolymer-modified calcium sulfoaluminate cement mortar under different curing conditions

The purpose of this study was to investigate the change in the physical and mechanical properties of styrene-butadiene copolymer(SB)dispersion-modified calcium sulfoaluminate(CSA)cement mortar as it aged from 28 to 360 d,and cured at different temperatures and relative *** results show that the mechanical properties of reference mortar(RM)of CSA cement,including its flexural,compressive,and tensile bond strength,showed a reduction after a certain time,but its water capillary absorption was hardly affected by *** SB dispersion was added,there was no reduction in mechanical *** amount of SB added did *** of 5% SB had a negative effect on most properties compared with RM,except for tensile bond ***,the properties of SB-modified mortar(SBMM)were enhanced significantly as the amount of SB was increased from 5% to 20%.Temperature change had different effects on the properties of RM and *** temperature was beneficial to early flexural and compressive strength development of RM,but caused serious strength reduction at later *** temperature enhanced the development of tensile bond strength of *** temperature enhanced properties of SBMM,including flexural,compressive,and tensile bond *** relative humidity improved all measured properties of all *** electron microscope(SEM)observations of the morphology of RM and SBMM at 360 d cured under different conditions accounted well for the changes in mechanical properties.

Understanding the local structure and thermophysical behavior of Mg-La liquid alloys via machine learning potential

The local structure and thermophysical behavior of Mg-La liquid alloys were in-depth understood using deep potential molecular dynamic(DPMD) simulation driven via machine learning to promote the development of Mg-La alloys. The robustness of the trained deep potential(DP) model was thoroughly evaluated through several aspects, including root-mean-square errors(RMSEs), energy and force data, and structural information comparison results;the results indicate the carefully trained DP model is reliable. The component and temperature dependence of the local structure in the Mg-La liquid alloy was analyzed. The effect of Mg content in the system on the first coordination shell of the atomic pairs is the same as that of temperature. The pre-peak demonstrated in the structure factor indicates the presence of a medium-range ordered structure in the Mg-La liquid alloy, which is particularly pronounced in the 80at% Mg system and disappears at elevated temperatures. The density, self-diffusion coefficient, and shear viscosity for the Mg-La liquid alloy were predicted via DPMD simulation, the evolution patterns with Mg content and temperature were subsequently discussed, and a database was established accordingly. Finally, the mixing enthalpy and elemental activity of the Mg-La liquid alloy at 1200 K were reliably evaluated,which provides new guidance for related studies.

The pursuit of high energy density while achieving long cycle life remains a challenge in developing transition metal(TM)oxide cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).Here,we present a concept of precisely manipulating structural evolution via local coordination chemistry regulation to design high-performance composite cathode *** controllable structural evolution process is realized by tuning magnesium content in Na0.6Mn1-xMgxO2,which is elucidated by a combination of experimental analysis and theoretical *** substitution of Mg into Mn sites not only induces a unique structural evolu-tion from layered–tunnel structure to layered structure but also mitigates the Jahn–Teller distortion of Mn3+.Meanwhile,benefiting from the strong ionic inter-action between Mg2+and O2-,local environments around O2-coordinated with electrochemically inactive Mg2+are anchored in the TM layer,providing a pinning effect to stabilize crystal structure and smooth electrochemical *** layered–tunnel Na0.6Mn0.95Mg0.05O2 cathode material delivers 188.9 mAh g-1 of specific capacity,equivalent to 508.0 Wh kg-1 of energy density at 0.5C,and exhibits 71.3%of capacity retention after 1000 cycles at 5C as well as excellent compatibility with hard carbon *** work may provide new insights of manipulating structural evolution in composite cathode materials via local coordi-nation chemistry regulation and inspire more novel design of high-performance SIB cathode materials.

The synthesis of acetic acid by carbonylation of methanol in the presence of Ni(Ⅱ)complexcatalysts at 200℃ under mild pressure was *** results showed that among the tested catalyststhe MCC-Ⅰ catalyst had the best performance for the reaction with a mathanol conversion of 98.2%and a carbonyl compound yield of 94.5%.The effects of the pKa values of ligands and the Debyevalues of solvents on the reaction were determined and a suggested mechanism involved in this reactionwas briefly discussed.

This paper combines the dynamically adjusting parameters, the chaos search(CS), and the modified simplex method(MS) with GAFSA, and the CSSAFSA is proposed. The algorithm speeds up the convergence by dynamically adjusting the parameters, and increases the probability of artificial fish escaping local extreme points by chaotic search for the current global optimum value. When the algorithm converges to the global optimum nearby, a simplex is constructed and the algorithm switches to MS which will continue to optimize until a certain stop condition is satisfied. Take the best point of simplex vertex at this time as the optimal value. The computational results on benchmark functions show that CSSAFSA does improve in optimizing accuracy and convergence speed.

Inhibiting SHP2 reduces glycolysis, promotes microglial M1 polarization, and alleviates secondary inflammation following spinal cord injury in a mouse model

Reducing the secondary inflammatory response, which is partly mediated by microglia, is a key focus in the treatment of spinal cord injury. Src homology 2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase 2(SHP2), encoded by PTPN11, is widely expressed in the human body and plays a role in inflammation through various mechanisms. Therefore, SHP2 is considered a potential target for the treatment of inflammation-related diseases. However, its role in secondary inflammation after spinal cord injury remains unclear. In this study, SHP2 was found to be abundantly expressed in microglia at the site of spinal cord injury. Inhibition of SHP2 expression using siRNA and SHP2 inhibitors attenuated the microglial inflammatory response in an in vitro lipopolysaccharide-induced model of inflammation. Notably, after treatment with SHP2 inhibitors, mice with spinal cord injury exhibited significantly improved hind limb locomotor function and reduced residual urine volume in the bladder. Subsequent in vitro experiments showed that, in microglia stimulated with lipopolysaccharide, inhibiting SHP2 expression promoted M2 polarization and inhibited M1 polarization. Finally, a co-culture experiment was conducted to assess the effect of microglia treated with SHP2 inhibitors on neuronal cells. The results demonstrated that inflammatory factors produced by microglia promoted neuronal apoptosis, while inhibiting SHP2 expression mitigated these effects. Collectively, our findings suggest that SHP2 enhances secondary inflammation and neuronal damage subsequent to spinal cord injury by modulating microglial phenotype. Therefore, inhibiting SHP2 alleviates the inflammatory response in mice with spinal cord injury and promotes functional recovery postinjury.
