While carbon dioxide(CO_(2))is a major greenhouse gas,it is also an important C1 *** the trend of energy conservation and emission reduction,electrocatalytic reduction has become a very promising strategy for CO_(2)utilization because it can convert CO_(2)directly to high-valued chemicals and fuels under mild *** particular,the product CO and by-product H_(2)can be combined into syngas by an electrocatalytic CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)in an aqueous *** molar ratios of CO and H_(2)may be used to produce essential bulk chemicals or liquid fuels such as methanol,alkanes,and olefins through thermochemical catalysis,Fischer-Tropsch synthesis,microbial fermentation,and other *** work discusses the latest strategies in controlling the molar ratio of CO/H_(2)and improving the yield of CO_(2)*** challenges of electrocatalytic syngas production are analyzed from an industrial application perspective,and the possible measures to overcome them are proposed in terms of new catalyst design,electrolyte innovation,flow reactor optimization,anodic reaction coupling,and operando technique application.

Micromagnetic simulation is employed to study the gyration motion of magnetic vortices in distinct permalloy nanodisks driven by a spin-polarized current. The critical current density for magnetic vortex gyration, eigenfrequency, trajectory, velocity and the time for a magnetic vortex to obtain the steady gyration are analyzed. Simulation results reveal that the magnetic vortices in larger and thinner nanodisks can achieve a lower-frequency gyration at a lower current density in a shorter time. However, the magnetic vortices in thicker nanodisks need a higher current density and longer time to attain steady gyration but with a higher eigenfrequency. We also find that the point-contact position exerts different influences on these parameters in different nanodisks, which contributes to the control of the magnetic vortex gyration. The conclusions of this paper can serve as a theoretical basis for designing nano-oscillators and microwave frequency modulators.

Antimony(Sb)is a toxic and carcinogenic element that often enters soil in the form of antimony trioxide(Sb_(2)O_(3))and coexists with manganese(Mn)in weakly alkaline *** oxides such as birnessite have been found to promote the oxidative dissolution of Sb_(2)O_(3),but few researches concerned the co-transformations of Sb_(2)O_(3) and Mn(II)in *** study investigated themutual effect of abiotic oxidation of Mn(II)and the coupled oxidative dissolution of Sb_(2)O_(3).The influencing factors,such as Mn(II)concentrations,pH and oxygen were also ***,their co-transformed mechanism was also explored based on the analysis of Mn(II)oxidation products with or without Sb_(2)O_(3) using XRD,SEM and *** results showed that the oxidative dissolution of Sb_(2)O_(3) was enhanced under higher pH and higher Mn(II)*** a lower Mn(II)concentration such as 0.01 mmol/L Mn(II)at pH 9.0,the improved dissolution of Sb_(2)O_(3) was attributed to the generation of dissolved intermediate Mn(III)species with strong oxidation ***,under higher Mn(II)concentrations,both amorphous Mn(III)oxides and intermediate Mn(III)species were responsible for promoting the oxidative dissolution of Sb_(2)O_(3).Most released Sb(∼72%)was immobilized by Mn oxides and Sb(V)was dominant in the adsorbed and dissolved total ***,the presence of Sb_(2)O_(3) not only inhibited the removal of Mn(II)by reducing Mn(III)to Mn(II)but also affected the final products of Mn *** example,amorphous Mn oxides were formed instead of crystalline Mn(III)oxides,such as ***,rhodochrosite(MnCO_(3))was formed with the high Mn(II)/Sb_(2)O_(3) ratio,but without being observed in the low Mn(II)/Sb_(2)O_(3) *** results of study could help provide more understanding about the fate of Sb in the environment and the redox transformation of Mn.

Remote state preparation is increasingly becoming attractive in recent years, people have already started theoretical and experimental research, and have made valuable research results. Recently, a scheme for probabilistic remote preparation of a general two-qubit state was proposed （Wang Z Y in Quantum Inf Process. 11：1585, 2012））. In this paper, we present a modified scheme for probabilistic remote preparation of a general two-qubit state. To complete the scheme, the new and feasible complete orthogonal basis vectors have been introduced. Compared with the previous schemes, the advantage of our schemes is that the total success probability of remote state preparation will be greatly improved. The probability of success regarding this scheme is calculated in both general and particular cases. The results show that the success probability of remote state preparation can be improved a little. However, in certain special cases, the success probability of preparation can be greatly improved. In special cases, the success probability of preparation can be improved to 1. The security analysis of the scheme is provided in details.

Luminescent metal organic cages(MOCs)have attracted great interest as a unique class of sensing *** this work,intrinsically fluorescent Zr-MOCs were successfully used as fluorescent probes for the sensitive and selective detection of phosphate anions in water and real *** the ligand and Zr ion clusters form a cage,the intrinsic fluorescence of the ligand was tuned from high to weak emission due to the ligand-to-metal charge transfer(LMCT)effect,and this weakened fluorescence can be restored by the addition of *** degree of fluorescence enhancement is positively correlated with the added phosphate concentration,and the efficacy of this strategy is demonstrated by a linear phosphate detection range of 5–500µmol/L and a detection limit of 1.06µmol/*** discuss the interaction between phosphate and Zr in scattering spectrum and MS,*** comparison to phosphate adsorption on Zr-metal organic frameworks(MOFs),where phosphate connects different numbers of cages,both blocking the LMCT effect and causing the cages to *** also found that the phosphate displaces the ligand from the cage when the phosphate concentration is further expanded,resulting in the formation of new *** derivative was shown to be useful as a Lewis acid catalyst and as a rare earth ion adsorbent.

Human brain development is a complex process,and animal models often have significant *** address this,researchers have developed pluripotent stem cell-derived three-dimensional structures,known as brain-like organoids,to more accurately model early human brain development and *** enable more consistent and intuitive reproduction of early brain development,in this study,we incorporated forebrain organoid culture technology into the traditional unguided method of brain organoid *** involved embedding organoids in matrigel for only 7 days during the rapid expansion phase of the neural epithelium and then removing them from the matrigel for further cultivation,resulting in a new type of human brain organoid *** cerebral organoid system replicated the temporospatial characteristics of early human brain development,including neuroepithelium derivation,neural progenitor cell production and maintenance,neuron differentiation and migration,and cortical layer patterning and formation,providing more consistent and reproducible organoids for developmental modeling and toxicology *** a proof of concept,we applied the heavy metal cadmium to this newly improved organoid system to test whether it could be used to evaluate the neurotoxicity of environmental *** organoids exposed to cadmium for 7 or 14 days manifested severe damage and abnormalities in their neurodevelopmental patterns,including bursts of cortical cell death and premature *** exposure caused progressive depletion of neural progenitor cells and loss of organoid integrity,accompanied by compensatory cell proliferation at ectopic *** convenience,flexibility,and controllability of this newly developed organoid platform make it a powerful and affordable alternative to animal models for use in neurodevelopmental,neurological,and neurotoxicological studies.
