Risk factors and clinical significance of posterior slip of the proximal vertebral body after lower lumbar fusion

BACKGROUND Adjacent segment disease(ASD)after fusion surgery is frequently manifests as a cranial segment instability,disc herniation,spinal canal stenosis,spondylolisthesis or *** risk factors and mechanisms of ASD have been widely discussed but never clearly *** To investigate the risk factors and clinical significance of retrograde movement of the proximal vertebral body after lower lumbar *** This was a retrospective analysis of the clinical data of patients who underwent transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion surgery between September 2015 and July 2021 and who were followed up for more than 2 ***-one patients with degenerative lumbar diseases were included(22 males and 69 females),with an average age of 52.3 years(40-73 years).According to whether there was retrograde movement of the adjacent vertebral body on postoperative X-rays,the patients were divided into retrograde and nonretrograde *** sagittal parameters of the spine and pelvis were evaluated before surgery,after surgery,and at the final *** the same time,the Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)were used to evaluate the patients’quality of *** Nineteen patients(20.9%)who experienced retrograde movement of proximal adjacent segments were included in this *** pelvic incidence(PI)of the patients in the retrograde group were significantly higher than those of the patients in the nonretrograde group before surgery,after surgery and at the final follow-up(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in lumbar lordosis(LL)between the two groups before the operation,but LL in the retrograde group was significantly greater than that in the nonretrograde group postoperatively and at the final *** significant differences were detected in terms of the|PI–LL|,and there was no significant difference in the preoperative lordosis distribution index(LDI)between the two *** LDIs of the retrograde group were

Let G be a simple graph and G~σ be the oriented graph with G as its underlying graph and orientation σ.The rank of the adjacency matrix of G is called the rank of G and is denoted by r(G).The rank of the skew-adjacency matrix of G~σ is called the skew-rank of G~σ and is denoted by sr(G~σ).Let V(G)be the vertex set and E(G) be the edge set of *** cyclomatic number of G,denoted by c(G),is equal to |E(G)|-|V(G)|+ω(G),where ω(G) is the number of the components of *** is proved for any oriented graph G~σ that-2c(G)≤sr(G~σ)-r(G)≤2c(G).In this paper,we prove that there is no oriented graph G~σwith sr(G~σ)-r(G)=2c(G)-1,and in addition,there are infinitely many oriented graphs G~σ with connected underlying graphs such that c(G)=k and sr(G~σ)-r(G)=2c(G)-l for every integers k,l satisfying 0 ≤l≤4k and l≠1.

Isocyanide-Based One-Pot Cascade Synthesis of 3-Acyl Isoindolinones

A series of 3-acyl-substituted isoindolinone derivatives were synthesized in a one-pot manner via the reaction of o-bromobenzaldehydes,isocyanides,and carboxylic acids in the presence of palladium catalyst and base. The reaction employing easily available starting materials features simple operation and high efficiency. The mechanistic study showed that the reaction might undergo 1) Pd-catalyzed [3+2] cyclization of o-bromobenzaldehyde with isocyanide and the re-insertion of another molecule of isocyanide,2) addition of carboxylic acid to in situ formed ketenimine followed by a rearrangement relay to give 3,3-diacyl-substituted isoindolinone derivative. Further transformations of the obtained products through decarbonylation could also be realized.

The Astrometric Performance of the China Space Station Telescope(CSST) Sky Survey in Extending the Gaia Celestial Reference Frame

The multi-color imaging sky survey conducted by the China Space Station Telescope (CSST) holds significant promise for advancing the development of the celestial reference *** this study,we focus on assessing the astrometric performance of the CSST celestial reference frame (CSST-CRF) in extending the Gaia Celestial Reference Frame 3 (Gaia-CRF3).First,the orientation precision of the CSST reference frame is evaluated using a simulated set of extragalactic sources with CSST g magnitudes ranging from 18 to 25 *** estimated orientation uncertainty caused by random error insignificantly affects the alignment between Gaia-CRF3 and the ***,the systematic effect of incomplete CSST sky coverage on the alignment between CSST-CRF and Gaia-CRF3 is discussed by analyzing the differences between the subset of Gaia-CRF3 in the CSST observation region (Gaia-CRF3′) and Gaia-CRF3 as a *** the third International Celestial Reference Frame (ICRF3) S/X band as an intermediate reference frame,the orientation offset between Gaia-CRF3′and GaiaCRF3 is estimated to be 20μ*** offset is marginally larger than the orientation offset between Gaia-CRF3 and the ICRF3,approximately 15μ*** residual spin and glide rate of Gaia-CRF3′are derived from the proper motions,consistent with that of Gaia-CRF3 within the formal ***,we explore the role of CSST in establishing a multi-band celestial reference frame by comparing its limiting magnitude and observation accuracy with existing catalogs in the infrared and ultraviolet *** to its broad wavelength coverage and highprecision measurements,CSST is well-positioned to make significant contributions to the development of a multiband celestial reference frame.

Bayesian inference of neutron-skin thickness and neutron-star observables based on effective nuclear interactions

We have obtained the constraints on the density dependence of the symmetry energy from neutron-skin thickness data by parityviolating electron scatterings and neutron-star observables using a Bayesian approach,based on the standard Skyrme-HartreeFock(SHF)model and its extension as well as the relativistic mean-field(RMF)*** the neutron-skin thickness data(neutron-star observables)mostly constrain the symmetry energy at subsaturation(suprasaturation)densities,they may more or less constrain the behavior of the symmetry energy at suprasaturation(subsaturation)densities,depending on the energy-density functional *** showing the final posterior density dependence of the symmetry energy,we also compare the slope parameters of the symmetry energy at 0.10 fm-3as well as the values of the symmetry energy at twice saturation density from three effective nuclear *** present work serves as a comparison study based on relativistic and non-relativistic energy-density functionals,for constraining the nuclear symmetry energy from low to high densities using a Bayesian approach.

New method for multibody dynamics based on unknown constraint force

This paper presents a new method for the dynamics of multibody systems based on unknown constraint force. The method can uniformly solve multibody systems with typical configurations, including the system with rigid-flexible coupling, the system in tree topology, and the system with loop constraints. Unlike common methods, the proposed method can model the loop system without “cutting off” loop constraints, leading to the exact same modelling process as the tree-like system performs. Based on graph theory, a topological record matrix M_(rec) is proposed to capture the arbitrary system configuration. Moreover, constraint forces are selected as the key variables in semi-recursive framework. With the recursive kinematics relationship between adjacent bodies, the constraint force equation is further assembled to achieve the full-state system solution. The numerical simulations demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method.

Very high-energy electrons(VHEEs)are potential candidates for FLASH radiotherapy for deep-seated *** proposed a compact VHEE facility based on an X-band high-gradient high-power *** this study,we investigated and realized the first X-band backward traveling-wave(BTW)accelerating structure as the buncher for a VHEE facility.A method for calculating the parameters of single cell from the field distribution was introduced to simplify the design of the BTW ***-domain circuit equations were applied to calculate the transient beam parameters of the buncher in the unsteady state.A prototype of the BTW structure with a thermionic cathode-diode electron gun was designed,fabricated,and tested at high power at the Tsinghua X-band high-power test *** structure successfully operated with 5-MW microwave pulses from the pulse compressor and outputted electron bunches with an energy of 8 MeV and a pulsed current of 108 mA.
