Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs) combine the benefits of metallic Zn anodes with those of aqueous electrolytes and are well suited for large-scale energy storage because of their inherent high safety, cost-effectiveness, and eco-friendliness. Currently, the practical application of such batteries is hindered by the poor cycling performance of Zn anodes due to uncontrolled dendrite formation and severe side reactions, although recent reports suggest that these problems can be mitigated through the modification of Zn anodes with metal-based *** that the mechanisms of improving Zn deposition and the structural evolution of metal-based materials have not been systematically reviewed, we herein systematically overview the metal-based materials used to stabilize Zn anodes, starting with a brief summary of the anode working mechanism and the challenges faced by stabilized Zn anodes. Subsequently, the design principles of Zn anodes stabilized by metal-based materials and the related recent progress are reviewed, and the key challenges and perspectives for the future development of such Zn anodes are proposed.

Particle segregation and mixing behavior play a crucial role in industrial *** study investigates the saturated jetsam fraction,which indicates the maximum capacity of flotsam to entrain jetsam,in an initially separated binary fluidized bed with particle size *** to the value of saturated jetsam fraction,three distinct regimes-segregation,mixing,and an intermediate regime-are ***,intriguing relationships between the saturated jetsam fraction and superficial gas velocity are observed,exhibiting monotonic trends in both the segregation and mixing regimes,while a unique volcano-shaped curve in the intermediate ***,a comprehensive entrainment model based on two-fluid model elucidates the observed phenomena,emphasizing the significance of mixing behavior in fluidized layer on the saturated jetsam *** work offers potential insights for evaluating segregation in industrial applications.

Overview of computation strategies on the dispersion analysis for explicit finite difference solution of acoustic wave equation

Finite-difference(FD) method is the most extensively employed numerical modeling technique. Nevertheless, when using the FD method to simulate the seismic wave propagation, the large spatial or temporal sampling interval can lead to dispersion errors and numerical instability. In the FD scheme, the key factor in determining both dispersion errors and stability is the selection of the FD weights. Thus,How to obtain appropriate FD weights to guarantee a stable numerical modeling process with minimum dispersion error is critical. The FD weights computation strategies can be classified into three types based on different computational ideologies, window function strategy, optimization strategy, and Taylor expansion strategy. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive overview of these three strategies by presenting their fundamental theories. We conduct a set of comparative analyses of their strengths and weaknesses through various analysis tests and numerical modelings. According to these comparisons, we provide two potential research directions of this field: Firstly, the development of a computational strategy for FD weights that enhances stability; Secondly, obtaining FD weights that exhibit a wide bandwidth while minimizing dispersion errors.

Chalcogen-dependent catalytic properties of RuX2.(X = S/Se/Te) nanoparticles decorated carbon nanofibers for hydrogen evolution in acidic and alkaline media

Transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs),with the general formula MX_(2.(M=Mo/W/Fe/Co/Ni,etc.;X=S/Se/Te),have attracted extensive research interests for hydrogen evo{2.tion reaction(heR).Compared with numerous studies on noble-metal-free TMDs,the chalcogen-dependent heR catalytic properties of noble-metal-based TMDs are lack of sufficient research ***,a facile electrospinning-assisted synthetic strategy is proposed to synthesize ruthenium dichalcogenides(RuX_(2.,X=S/Se/Te)nanoparticles decorated carbon nanofibers(CNFs).Benefiting from the identical nanofibrous morphology and exposed crystal planes of RuX_(2.(111),the catalytic activities of RuX_(2.@CNFs samples were investigated and compared in a fair and direct *** electrochemical measurements coupled with density functional theory calculations were carried out to probe their intrinsic heR catalytic activities,resulting in the catalytic activity order of RuS_(2.@CNFs>RuSe_(2.@CNFs>RuTe_(2.@CNFs in acidic media and that of RuS_(2.@CNFs>RuTe_(2.@CNFs>RuSe_(2.@CNFs in alkaline *** superior catalytic performance of RuS_(2.@CNFs mainly stems from the relative lower heR energy barriers and thereby the higher intrinsic catalytic activity of RuS_(2.(111),leading to ultralow overpotentials of 44 and 9 mV at 10 mA·cm^(-2. in acidic and alkaline media,***_(2.(111)is endowed with the more optimized Gibbs free energy of hydrogen adsorption(ΔGH*)than RuTe_(2.(111),but RuTe_(2.(111)shows enhanced catalytic property for H_(2.O dissociation and OH-desorption than RuSe_(2.(111),therefore,resulting in the altered catalytic activity sequences for RuSe_(2. and RuTe_(2. in acidic and alkaline media.
