BACKGROUND Most patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)have lost the opportunity for direct surgery at the time of *** chemoembolization(TACE)combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors or tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKI)can partially transform some unresectable HCC and improve the prognosis ***,based on the promising prospects of combined targeted and immunotherapy for the effective treatment of HCC,the positive role of palliative surgery in the conversion treatment of advanced HCC urgently needs further in-tensive *** SUMMARY In this study,we describe two successful cases of"conversion therapy for un-resectable HCC"achieved mainly by palliative surgery combined with TACE plus immunotherapy and TKIs.A 48-year-old patient with newly diagnosed HCC,presenting with a 6-cm mass in the segment VII/VIII of the right liver with mul-tiple intrahepatic metastases,could not undergo one-stage radical surgical *** underwent palliative surgery with radiofrequency of metastatic lesions and the palliative resection of the primary mass,and received subsequent TACE treatments twice in the early postoperative period(2 weeks and 6 weeks),in addition to targeted and immune combination therapy with sintilimab injection and oral *** evidence of recurrence was observed during the 11-month follow-up period after *** other patient was a 47-year-old patient with massive HCC(18 cm×15 cm×4.5 cm)in the left liver with severe *** left portal branch was occluded and a tumor thrombus formed,and the tumor partly involved the middle hepatic *** patient underwent palliative surgery of left hemihepatectomy(including resection of the middle hepatic vein)for HCC,followed by three TACE procedures and oral TKIs 2 weeks after *** months later,the re-examination via computed tomography revealed no tumour activity in the remaining right liver,while magnetic resonance imaging revealed slight local tumor enh

An Active Hybrid Electrocatalyst with Synergized Pyridinic Nitrogen-Cobalt and Oxygen Vacancies for Bifunctional Oxygen Reduction and Evolution

Main observation and conclusion A hybrid bifunctional oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)/oxygen evolution reaction(OER)NiCo_(2)O_(4-x)/NLG with rich pyridinic-nitrogen-cobalt coordination and oxygen vacancies was synthesized via a combination of the hydrothermal method and pulsed laser ***_(2)O_(4-x)/NLG exhibits an excellent catalytic activity with a low overpotential of 290 mV at 10 ***^(-2)for OER and a high half-wave potential of 0.85 V for *** a result,the overall ORR/OER overpotential ofNiCo_(2)O_(4-x)/NLG is only 0.67 V in 1.0 mol/L KOH electrolyte,which is superior to commercial noble-metal-based catalysts(Pt/C+RuO2).It is evidenced that the enhanced intrinsic OER and ORR activities of NiCo_(2)O_(4-x)/NLG are attributed to a synergistic effect between the pyridinic-N-Co coordination and the oxy-gen *** work provides a new design strategy for enhancing the intrinsic activity of bifunctional ORR/OER electrocatalysts.

Effect of the yaw angle on turbulent flow structures around the submarine model

The objective of this paper is to investigate the turbulent flow structures around the submarine model and evaluate the effect of the yaw angle on the turbulent flow *** large eddy simulation based on the boundary data immersion method is used to *** computational domain consists of 1.2×10^(8)uniformly distributed Cartesian orthogonal grid nodes to capture the basic flow characteristics around the *** pressure coefficient,friction coefficient and wake velocity distribution are in good agreement with the experimental *** different types of vortex structures were mainly captured around the model,including horseshoe vortex,sail tip vortex and crossflow separation *** the increase of the yaw angle,the asymmetry of the horseshoe vortex and the tip vortex gradually increases,and the vortex strength of the vortex leg on the windward of the horseshoe vortex and the vortex strength of the tip vortex also increase *** the crossflow separation vortex,the flow separation zone gradually expands and migrates downstream with the increase of the yaw angle.

Interplay between Microscopic Structures and Macroscopic Viscoelastic Properties of Polyampholyte Gels

Polyampholyte gels,which have hierarchical structures,exhibit excellent self-healing properties and have great promise for biomaterials and *** investigated the relationship between microscopic structures and macroscopic viscoelastic properties of polyampholyte gels and found three factors influencing their viscoelastic properties,including the chemical crosslinking bonds,topological entanglements controlled by monomer concentration,and the ionic *** strength plays a major role on the strength of ionic bonds.A crossover point of elastic modulus and loss modulus was observed in the dynamic frequency sweeps at low monomer concentration or low chemical crosslinking density for gels with intermediate strength of ionic *** solid-liquid transition signaled by the crossover point is a typical feature of dynamic associated gels,representing the dynamical association-dissociation of the ionic bonds and full relaxation of the topological entanglements in the gel *** the crossover point disappears when the ionic bonds are too weak or too strong to form“permanent”***,in the non-linear yielding measurement,gels with intermediate strength of the ionic bonds are ductile and yield at very large shear strain due to the self-healing properties and the dynamic association-dissociation of the ionic *** the self-healing properties disappear when the ionic bond strength is too weak or too *** work reveals the mechanism of how the dynamic association-dissociation of ionic bonds influences both the linear and non-linear viscoelastic properties of the polyampholyte gels.

ANovel Non-Isolated Cubic DC-DC Converter with High Voltage Gain for Renewable Energy Power Generation System

In recent years,switched inductor(SL)technology,switched capacitor(SC)technology,and switched inductor-capacitor(SL-SC)technology have been widely applied to optimize and improve DC-DC boost converters,which can effectively enhance voltage gain and reduce device *** address the issue of low output voltage in current renewable energy power generation systems,this study proposes a novel non-isolated cubic high-gain DC-DC converter based on the traditional quadratic DC-DC boost converter by incorporating a SC and a SL-SC ***,the proposed converter’s details are elaborated,including its topology structure,operating mode,voltage gain,device stress,and power ***,a comparative analysis is conducted on the voltage gain and device stress between the proposed converter and other high-gain ***,a closed-loop simulation system is constructed to obtain simulation waveforms of various devices and explore the dynamic ***,an experimental prototype is built,experimental waveforms are obtained,and the experimental dynamic performance and conversion efficiency are *** theoretical analysis’s correctness is verified through simulation and experimental *** proposed converter has advantages such as high voltage gain,low device stress,high conversion efficiency,simple control,and wide input voltage range,achieving a good balance between voltage gain,device stress,and power *** proposed converter is well-suited for renewable energy systems and holds theoretical significance and practical value in renewable energy *** provides an effective solution to the issue of low output voltage in renewable energy power generation systems.

Machine Learning Security Defense Algorithms Based on Metadata Correlation Features

With the popularization of the Internet and the development of technology,cyber threats are increasing day by *** such as malware,hacking,and data breaches have had a serious impact on *** network security environment in the era of big data presents the characteristics of large amounts of data,high diversity,and high real-time *** security defense methods and tools have been unable to cope with the complex and changing network security *** paper proposes a machine-learning security defense algorithm based on metadata association *** control over unauthorized users through privacy,integrity,and *** user model is established and the mapping between the user model and the metadata of the data source is *** analyzing the user model and its corresponding mapping relationship,the query of the user model can be decomposed into the query of various heterogeneous data sources,and the integration of heterogeneous data sources based on the metadata association characteristics can be *** and classify customer information,automatically identify and perceive sensitive data,build a behavior audit and analysis platform,analyze user behavior trajectories,and complete the construction of a machine learning customer information security defense *** experimental results show that when the data volume is 5×103 bit,the data storage integrity of the proposed method is 92%.The data accuracy is 98%,and the success rate of data intrusion is only 2.6%.It can be concluded that the data storage method in this paper is safe,the data accuracy is always at a high level,and the data disaster recovery performance is *** method can effectively resist data intrusion and has high air traffic control *** can not only detect all viruses in user data storage,but also realize integrated virus processing,and further optimize the security defense effect of user big data.

Hematite-facilitated microbial ammoxidation for enhanced nitrogen removal in constructed wetlands

Constructed wetlands(CWs)are widely applied for decentralized wastewater ***,achieving efficient removal of ammonia(NH+-N)has proven challenging due to insufficient *** this study,natural hematite(Fe,O3)was employed as a CW substrate(H-CWs)for the first time to drive anaerobic ammonia oxidation coupled with iron(I)reduction(Feammox).Compared to gravel constructed wetlands(G-CWs),ammonia removal was enhanced by 38.14%to 54.03%and nitrous oxide(N_(2)0)emissions were reduced by 34.60%in *** synergistic removal of ammonia and nitrate by H-CWs also resulted in the absence of ammoxidation *** and 15N isotope tracer incubations showed that Feammox accounting for approximately 40%of all ammonia removal in the *** enrichment of iron phosphate(Fe_(3)Fe_(4)(PO_(4))_(6))promoted the accumulation of the Feammox intermediate compound *** nanowires were observed on the surface of H-CW substrates as well,suggesting that the observed biological ammoxidation was most likely related to extracellular electron transfer(EET).Microbial and metagenomics analysis revealed that H-CWs elevated the integrity and enhanced the abundance of functional microorganisms and genes associated with nitrogen ***,the efficient ammonia removal in the absence of O2 together with a reduction in N_(2)O emissions as described in this study may provide useful guidance for hematite-mediated anaerobic ammonia removal in CWs.

Chain Extender-induced Hydrogen Bonding Organization Determines the Morphology and Properties of Thermoplastic Polycarbonate Polyurethane

Thermoplastic polycarbonate polyurethanes(PCUs) are multiblock copolymers that have been applied for medical devices for long time. Aliphatic diols are common chain extenders(CE) involved in the composition of the hard segments of PCU. However, limited knowledge was discovered about how the chemical structure of CE affects the hydrogen bonding organization within PCUs and their mechanical *** investigate this problem, a group of PCUs were synthesized respectively by extending the polymer chain with 1,4-butanediol(BDO),aminoethanol(MEA), ethanediol(EO) as three kinds of chain extenders. Tiny differences in the CE chemical structure results in remarkable variations in phase separation, condensed morphologies, thermal and mechanical properties, which are characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer, atomic force microscopy, small-angle X-ray scattering, differential scanning calorimetry, and tensile tests. The microstructural evolution during unilateral deformation and the different mechanism induced by the different CEs was probed and unveil by in situ wide-and small-angle X-ray diffraction. Symmetry of CE can improve the organization of the hydrogen bonding. The coherence strength of the urethane/urea group also plays a key role by comparing the two PCUs with ethanediol and aminoethanol.
