Relationship between Localization of PBSU in Interlamellar/Interfibrillar Regimes and Double Peaks in DSC/SAXS in its Blend with PVDF

In this work,phase segregation and localization of PBSU have been investigated with the combination of SAXS and DSC in its blend with *** stepwise crystallization of PVDF and PBSU,there are double melting peaks of PBSU in DSC and double scattering peaks in *** has been demonstrated that double peaks can be attributed to the localization of PBSU in interlamellar/interfibrillar region in pre-formed PVDF crystal *** the case of low content of PBSU in blend,PBSU is trapped into the interlamellar region of PVDF crystals,resulting in the alternating lamellae crystal of them and the first peak(with low-q)in *** enhanced confinement effect produces thinner PBSU lamellae,corresponding to the lower melting temperature in *** increasing its content in blend,some PBSU segregates in interfibrillar regions in addition to the enrichment in interlamellar regions of PVDF crystal *** larger space and higher concentration of PBSU in interfibrillarregions contribute to periodic lamellae structure of PBSU with higher thickness,which is the reason for the second peak(with high-q)in SAXS and *** results not only clarify the relationship between localization of PBSU in interlamellar/interfibrillar regions and double peaks in DSC/SAXS,but also provide a novel strategy to detect the interlamellar and interfibrillar segregation of low-T_(m) component in miscible crystalline/crystalline blend.

A Quick Calculation Method for Radiation Pattern of Submillimeter Telescope with Deformation and Displacement

Radiation pattern captures the electromagnetic performance of reflector antennas,which is significantly affected by the deformation of the primary reflector due to gravity and the displacement of the secondary *** the design process of large reflector antennas,a substantial amount of time is often dedicated to iteratively adjusting structural parameters and validating electromagnetic *** improve the efficiency of the design process,we first propose an approximate calculation method of optical path difference(OPD)for the deformation of the primary reflector under gravity and the displacement of the secondary *** an OPD fitting function based on the modified Zernike polynomials is proposed to capture the phase difference of radiation over the aperture plane,based on which the radiation pattern will be obtained quickly by the aperture field integration *** experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed quick calculation method for analyzing the radiation pattern of a 10.4 m submillimeter telescope antenna at its highest operating frequency of 856 *** comparison with the numerical simulation method based on GRASP(which is an antenna electromagnetic analysis tool combining physical optics(PO)and physical theory of diffraction(PTD)),the quick calculation method reduces the time for radiation pattern analysis from more than one hour to less than two ***,the quick calculation method exhibits excellent accuracy for the figure of merit(FOM)of the radiation ***,the proposed quick calculation method can obtain the radiation pattern with high speed and *** to the time-consuming numerical simulation method(PO and PTD),it can be employed for quick analysis of the radiation pattern for the lateral displacement of the secondary reflector and the deformation of the primary reflector under gravity in the design process of a reflector antenna.

Effect of short term intensive multitherapy on carotid intima-media thickness in patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus

Background Controlling plasma glucose levels, blood pressure and lipid levels is proven to reduce the risk of vascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. This has prompted intensive multitherapy targeted at several macrovascular risk factors. Carotid intima-media thickness （cIMT） is a reliable measure of early atherosclerosis. We sought to determine whether a 6-month intensive mutiltherapy program resulted in better goal attainment than usual care and its effect on the development of cIMT among patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods The study randomly assigned 220 patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes mellitus to intensive or traditional therapy groups. The clinical parameters, such as fasting plasma glucose, total cholesterol, triglyceride, blood pressure, body weight and insulin were assessed at the baseline and after the 6-month therapy, cIMT of the patients was also obtained. Results The average levels of fasting plasma glucose, hemoglobin Alc, total cholesterol （TC） and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C） in the intensive group were significantly lower than those in the control group at the end of 6-month treatment. By 6 months, a higher proportion of patients in the intensive therapy group than in the control group attained goals for fasting plasma glucose （FPG）, TC, LDL-C and hemoglobin Alc. With intensive multherapy the level of carotid intima-media thickness in the intensive therapy group was lower than that in the control group （（0.88±0.26） mm vs （0.96±0.22） mm, P 〈0.01）. Conclusions The evidence from this clinical trial demonstrates that intensive glucose, lipid and blood pressure control in patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes is associated with diabetic macrovascular benefits. Intensive multitherapy allows more patients to achieve aims of control and may reduce macrovascular complications and delay disease progression.

The Astrometric Performance of the China Space Station Telescope(CSST)Sky Survey in Extending the Gaia Celestial Reference Frame

The multi-color imaging sky survey conducted by the China Space Station Telescope(CSST)holds significant promise for advancing the development of the celestial reference *** this study,we focus on assessing the astrometric performance of the CSST celestial reference frame(CSST-CRF)in extending the Gaia Celestial Reference Frame 3(Gaia-CRF3).First,the orientation precision of the CSST reference frame is evaluated using a simulated set of extragalactic sources with CSST g magnitudes ranging from 18 to 25 *** estimated orientation uncertainty caused by random error insignificantly affects the alignment between Gaia-CRF3 and the ***,the systematic effect of incomplete CSST sky coverage on the alignment between CSST-CRF and Gaia-CRF3 is discussed by analyzing the differences between the subset of Gaia-CRF3 in the CSST observation region(Gaia-CRF3′)and Gaia-CRF3 as a *** the third International Celestial Reference Frame(ICRF3)S/X band as an intermediate reference frame,the orientation offset between Gaia-CRF3′and GaiaCRF3 is estimated to be 20μ*** offset is marginally larger than the orientation offset between Gaia-CRF3 and the ICRF3,approximately 15μ*** residual spin and glide rate of Gaia-CRF3′are derived from the proper motions,consistent with that of Gaia-CRF3 within the formal ***,we explore the role of CSST in establishing a multi-band celestial reference frame by comparing its limiting magnitude and observation accuracy with existing catalogs in the infrared and ultraviolet *** to its broad wavelength coverage and highprecision measurements,CSST is well-positioned to make significant contributions to the development of a multiband celestial reference frame.

Engineering molecular regulation for SiO_(x) with long-term stable cycle and high Coulombic efficiency as lithium-ion battery anodes

In the current situation where the practical application of silicon anode materials encounters great challenges,silicon oxide(SiO_(x),0≤x≤2)has attracted the attention of researchers due to its relatively small volume expansion,stable cycling performance,and low cost,which is possible to realize commercial applications earlier than silicon ***,it remains a challenge to prepare SiO_(x)materials with long-term stable cycling performance and high Coulombic efficiency using low-cost *** this work,SiO_(x)anode material with high Coulombic efficiency and good long-term cycling stability was prepared at a low cost by hydrolysis of siloxane and in situ polymerization of phenolic *** hydrolysis of siloxane was further regulated by different silane coupling agents to regulate the size and microstructure of prepared SiO_(x)materials,which displayed the substantially improved electrochemical *** excellent electrochemical performance of SiO_(x)prepared by regulated hydrolysis of siloxane with silane coupling agents is attributed to the effect of silane coupling agent on size and microstructure of SiO_(x),revealing that the strategy of modulating the hydrolysis of siloxane by silane coupling agent is a potential method to prepare high-performance SiO_(x)materials.

Methyl functionalization of trimesic acid in copper-based metal-organic framework for ammonia colorimetric sensing at high relative humidity

Exhaled ammonia(NH_(3))can be used as a crucial biomarker of kidney and liver ***,the high humidity in the detection conditions remains a challenge for accurate detection by gas ***,a copper-based metal-organic framework(CH_(3)-Cu-BTC)with methyl(CH_(3)^(-))functionalization of trimesic acid was synthesized for NH_(3) colorimetric *** CH_(3)-Cu-BTC exhibited a strong response for 5 ppm NH_(3) with high selectivity under high relative humidity(75%RH).Density functional theory(DFT)simulations indicated that the NH_(3) molecules interacted more strongly with CH_(3)-Cu-BTC than H_(2)O molecules did,and the corresponding color switching was attributed to the lone-pair electron in NH_(3) changing the coordination environment of Cu^(2+)ions,leading to an obviously visible color switching response from ruby green to *** on the tailor-made pore chemistry,the precise detection of trace amounts of NH_(3) in exhaled air was realized through functionalized MOF *** strategy used in this study not only offers a new pathway for the rapid detection of low concentration NH_(3) under humid conditions,but also shows a method for early respiration diagnosis of kidney and liver diseases.
