Uncovering Chemical Interactions between Danshen and Danggui Using Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry and Network Pharmacology-Based Research on Stroke

Objective: The objective of this study was to decipher chemical interactions between Danshen and Danggui using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry(LC-MS) and explore the mechanisms of Danshen–Danggui against stroke using network pharmacology and molecular docking. Materials and Methods: First, the chemical compounds of Danshen–Danggui were profiled using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)-quadrupole time-of-flight MS. Accurately characterized compounds in various proportions of Danshen–Danggui were quantified using HPLC combined with triple quadrupole electrospray tandem MS. Network pharmacology was used to uncover the essential mechanisms of action of Danshen–Danggui against stroke. Discovery Studio Software was used for the molecular docking verification of key active chemicals and stroke-related targets. Results: A total of 53 compounds were characterized, and 22 accurately identified constituents(10 phenolic acids, 8 phthalides, and 4 tanshinones) were quantified in 15 proportions of Danshen–Danggui. The quantification results showed that Danggui significantly increased the dissolution of most phenolic acids(compounds from Danshen), whereas Danshen promoted the dissolution of most phthalides(compounds from Danggui). Overall, the combination of Danshen and Danggui at a 1:1 ratio resulted in the maximum total dissolution rate. Further network pharmacology and molecular docking results indicated that Danshen–Danggui exerted anti-stroke effects mainly by regulating inflammation-related(tumor necrosis factor, hypoxia-inducible factor, and toll-like receptor) signaling pathways, which ranked among the top three pathways based on Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) enrichment analysis. Conclusion: The chemical compounds in Danshen–Danggui could interact with each other to increase the dissolution of the most active compounds, which could provide a solid basis for uncovering the compatibility mechanisms of Danshen–Danggui and Danshen–Danggu

Understanding amorphous PrO_(x)-based N-doped carbon catalyst as an efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction

The development of an e fficacious and easily prepared no nprecious metal electrocatalyst is crucial for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).This work used a dual template method to prepare the amorphous rare earth-based catalyst PrO_(x)-NC,and optimized the calcination temperature and *** PrO_(x)-NC-900 catalyst has high durability and activity and exhibits superior ORR performance in alkaline electrolytes with an onset potential(E_(0))of 0.96 V and a half-wave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.85 *** research results indicate that the ORR performance of rare earth oxide composite carbon catalysts can be improved by adjusting oxygen vacancies(Ov).In addition,high specific surface area,N rich defect *** oxygen vacancies,and the synergistic effect of oxygen vacancies and N-doped carbon interfacial layer play a significant part in the enhancement of *** performance of the zinc air battery assembled with PrO_(x)-NC-900 is significantly improved,and rare earth oxides and carbon frameworks originating from metal organic frameworks(MOFs)contribute to the oxygen electrocatalyst and electron transfer rate of the zinc air *** catalyst provides promising information for the development of rare earth metal oxide nanostructures as potential candidate materials for ORR in alkaline media.

Upcycling of polyphenylene oxide into 2,6-dimethyl aniline via depolymerization and amination over a Pt/CeO₂ catalyst

Upcycling of plastic waste into N-containing compound is a novel and attractive strategy for its disposal and will opens up a promising direction for the production of value-added amines. Herein, an efficient strategy for the depolymerization-amination of polyphenylene oxide (PPO) into 2,6-dimethyl aniline is developed over a simple Pt/CeO2 catalyst. The C-O linkages of PPO can be selectively broken, producing 2,6-dimethyl phenol and then hydrogenated and aminated to 2,6-dimethyl cyclohexylamine over the Pt/CeO2 catalyst. Finally, 2,6-dimethyl aniline was produced with high selectivity through the dehydrogenation of 2,6-dimethyl cyclohexylamine in the same catalyst. Toluene can be used as the hydrogen-acceptor in the dehydrogenation step and enhance the selectivity of target product. Single N-containing compound, 2,6-dimethyl aniline, is obtained and separated after HCl treatment. Meanwhile, the Pt/CeO(2 )catalyst exhibit remarkable stability and can sustainably catalyze the synthesis of 2,6-dimethyl aniline in several cycles.

Viscosity and structure relationship with equimolar substitution of CaO with MgO in the CaO–MgO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)slag melts

Currently,the Al_(2)O_(3)content in the high-alumina slag systems within blast furnaces is generally limited to 16wt%–18.5wt%,making it challenging to overcome this *** most studies that concentrated on managing the MgO/Al_(2)O_(3)ratio or basicity,this paper explored the effect of equimolar substitution of MgO for CaO on the viscosity and structure of a high-alumina CaO-MgO-Al_(2)O_(3)-SiO_(2)slag system,providing theoretical guidance and data to facilitate the application of high-alumina *** results revealed that the viscosity first decreased and then increased with higher MgO substitution,reaching a minimum at 15mol%MgO *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)results found that the depths of the troughs representing[SiO_(4)]tetrahedra,[AlO_(4)]tetrahedra,and Si-O-Al bending became progressively deeper with increased MgO *** of the Raman spectra showed that the average number of bridging oxygens per Si atom and the X_(Q^(3))/X_(Q^(2))(X_(Q^(i))is the molar fraction of Q^(i) unit,and i is the number of bridging oxygens in a[SiO_(4)]tetrahedral unit)ratio increased from 2.30 and 1.02 to 2.52 and 2.14,respectively,indicating a progressive polymerization of the silicate structure.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results highlighted that non-bridging oxygen content decreased from 77.97mol% to 63.41mol% with increasing MgO concentration,whereas bridging oxygen and free oxygen contents *** analysis demonstrated a gradual increase in the polymerization degree of the tetrahedral structure with the increase in MgO ***,bond strength is another important factor affecting the slag *** occurrence of a viscosity minimum can be attributed to the complex evolution of bond strengths of non-bridging oxygens generated during depolymerization of the[SiO_(4)]and[AlO_(4)]tetrahedral structures by CaO and MgO.

Separation of the ionospheric and thermospheric contributions in the data from the Triple Ionosophere Photo Meter onboard the Feng-Yun 3E satellite

The Triple Ionosphere Photo Meter(TRIPM)is a far ultraviolet nadir-view photometer that is onboard the secondgeneration,polar-orbiting Chinese meteorological satellite Feng-Yun 3E(FY-3E),which was launched on July 5,*** has three channels,and each is used to measure different types of emissions:(1)135.6 nm airglow produced by the recombination of the O+ions and electrons in the absence of sunlight(nighttime channel);(2)135.6 nm airglow from the OI when sunlight is present(daytime/dusk-dawn 135.6 nm channel);and(3)Airglow in the N_(2)LBH of the TRIPM(daytime/dusk-dawn N_(2)LBH channel).FY-3E is a satellite operating in the early morning ***,the data are mostly distributed on the dawndusk side or at times when the solar zenith angle is relatively *** this study,combined with simulation calculations,the data are *** further explore the application value of the data products,a model is used to separate the ionospheric radiative recombination contribution from the thermosphere photoelectron impact excitation contribution in the data from the daytime/dusk-dawn 135.6 nm *** approach not only improves the accuracy of O/N_(2)derived from the 135.6 nm channel and N_(2)LBH channel but also provides the ionospheric 135.6 nm radiance at the same time as the *** results show that the 135.6 nm radiance originating from the combination of O+and electrons extracted from the measurement data exhibits similar equatorial anomaly peak structure characteristics and seasonal variations as the corresponding GPS total electron content(TEC)*** the other hand,the separated 135.6 nm radiance generated from the thermosphere photoelectron collision excitation does not contain radiative recombination contributions;thus,the ionosphere influence is greatly avoided when the O/N_(2)is obtained.

New Co-MOF adsorption material with pharynx-shaped channel and large cavity for record ethylene and propylene purification

Ethylene（C2H4） and propylene（C3H6） produced by methanol to olefin（MTO） technology are important chemical raw ***,the purification and separation between C2H4and C3H6mixtures is very ***,a novel microporous metal-organic framework（MOF） adsorbent Co2（OATA）(DPA) was fabricated through mixed linkers of 5,5'-(oxalylbis（azanediyl）)diisophthalic acid（H4OATA） and V-shaped di（pyridin-4-yl）amine（DPA） with –NHCO– and –NH– functional groups,which was endowed with ideal small pore size,large cavity,and interesting C3H6trap constructed by four sets of –NH– *** 298 K and a crucial low pressure（0.05 bar） for the separation in microporous materials,the MOF shows ultra-high C3H6preferential adsorption(97.8 cm3g-1) and considerable C3H6/C2H4selectivity（about 22）,representing an advanced material for the reported porous materials with C3H6/C2H4separation *** studies of single crystal X-ray diffraction and simulations showed that the customized pore limitation in the MOF provided stronger multiple attractive interactions with C3H6,leading to significant adsorption selectivity in the process of competing adsorption for C3H6and *** one separation step,the MOF generated highly pure C2H4（≥99.9%） and C3H6（≥99.6%） products respectively from C2H4/C3H6mixtures at different ratios,pressures,and temperatures.

Advantages of the Multimodel Ensemble Approach for Subseasonal Precipitation Prediction in China and the Driving Factor of the MJO

Based on the hindcasts from five subseasonal-to-seasonal (S2S) models participating in the S2S Prediction Project, this study evaluates the performance of the multimodel ensemble (MME) approach in predicting the subseasonal precipitation anomalies during summer in China and reveals the contributions of possible driving factors. The results suggest that while single-model ensembles (SMEs) exhibit constrained predictive skills within a limited forecast lead time of three pentads, the MME illustrates an enhanced predictive skill at a lead time of up to four pentads, and even six pentads, in southern China. Based on both deterministic and probabilistic verification metrics, the MME consistently outperforms SMEs, with a more evident advantage observed in probabilistic forecasting. The superior performance of the MME is primarily attributable to the increase in ensemble size, and the enhanced model diversity is also a contributing factor. The reliability of probabilistic skill is largely improved due to the increase in ensemble members, while the resolution term does not exhibit consistent improvement. Furthermore, the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) is revealed as the primary driving factor for the successful prediction of summer precipitation in China using the MME. The improvement by the MME is not solely attributable to the enhancement in the inherent predictive capacity of the MJO itself, but derives from its capability in capturing the more realistic relationship between the MJO and subseasonal precipitation anomalies in China. This study establishes a scientific foundation for acknowledging the advantageous predictive capability of the MME approach in subseasonal predictions of summer precipitation in China, and sheds light on further improving S2S predictions. Nickel extraction from nickel laterites: Processes, resources, environment and cost

With the development of the new energy industry and the depletion of nickel sulfide ore resources,laterite nickel ore has become the main source of primary nickel,and nickel for power batteries has become a new growth point in *** paper systematically summarizes the processes,parameters,products,recovery rates,environmental indicators,costs,advantages,disadvantages and the latest research progress of mainstream nickel extraction processes from laterite nickel *** also provides a comparative analysis of the environmental impact and economic efficiency of different nickel extraction *** is found that the current nickel extraction processes from laterite nickel ore globally for commercial production mainly include the RKEF process for producing ferronickel and the HPAL process for producing intermediate *** former accounts for about 80%of laterite nickel ore *** to each other,the investment cost per ton of nickel metal production capacity for the RKEF is about 43000$,with an operational cost of about 16000$per ton of nickel metal and a total nickel recovery rate of 77%–90%.Its products are mainly used in stainless *** the HPAL process,the investment cost per ton of nickel metal production capacity is about 56000$,with an operational cost of about 15000$per ton of nickel metal and a total nickel recovery rate of 83%–90%.Its products are mainly used in power *** significant differences between the two lies in energy consumption and carbon emissions,with the RKEF being 2.18 and 2.37 times that of the HPAL,*** the use of clean energy can greatly reduce the operational cost and environmental impact of RKEF,if RKEF is converted to producing high Ni matte,its economic and environmental performance still cannot match that of the HPAL and oxygen-enriched side-blown ***,it can be inferred that with the increasing demand for nickel in power batteries,HPAL and oxygen-enriched side

Rational engineering of semiconductor photocatalysts for efficient hydrogen production is of great significance but still challenging,primarily due to the limitations in charge transfer ***,a fascinating plasmonic tandem heterojunction with the hc-CdS/Mo_(2)C@C heterostructure is aimfully prepared for effectively promoting the charge separation kinetics of the CdS photocatalyst via the synergistic strategy of phase junction,Schottky junction,and photothermal *** difference in atomic configuration between cubic-CdS (c-CdS) and hexagonal-CdS (h-CdS) leads to effective charge separation through a typical Ⅱ charge transfer mechanism,and plasmonic Schottky junction further extracts the electrons in the hc-CdS phase junction to realize gradient charge ***,the photothermal effect of Mo_(2)C@C helps to expand the light absorption,accelerate charge transfer kinetics,and reduce the hydrogen evolution energy *** carbon layer provides a fast channel for charge transfer and protects the photocatalyst from *** a result,the optimized hc-CMC photocatalyst exhibits a significantly high photocatalytic H_(2)production activity of 28.63 mmol/g/h and apparent quantum efficiency of 61.8%,surpassing most of the reported *** study provides a feasible strategy to enhance the charge transfer kinetics and photocatalytic activity of CdS by constructing plasmonic tandem heterogeneous junctions.
