Photocatalytic technology with sunlight as driving force can convert solar energy into other energy sources for storage and further *** sulfide(CdS),as a typical reducing semiconductor of metal sulfides,represents an interesting research hotspot in photocatalysis due to its suitable bandgap(2.4 eV)for utilizing visible light and strong reducing ability for inducing surface catalytic ***,the photocatalytic performance of CdS is still limited by its fast carrier recombination and serious *** far,CdS semiconductor has been widely developed as a typical reducing photocatalyst in constructing novel S-scheme heterojunction to overcome the above *** this review,the de-sign concepts,basic principles,and charge transfer characteristics of CdS-based S-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts have been comprehensively *** advanced and effective characterization methods for studying the mechanism of CdS-based S-scheme heterojunction are analyzed in ***-thermore,we also summarize the typical applications of CdS-based S-scheme heterojunctions for water splitting,CO_(2) reduction,pollutant degradation,***,according to the current investigation sta-tus,some drawbacks in the current synthetic strategy,mechanism exploration,and application prospect of CdS-based S-scheme heterojunction are proposed,which need to be addressed by further expansion and innovative research.

Tuning Polymer Molecular Weight Distribution in Cationic RAFT Polymerization by Mixing Chain Transfer Agents

Polymer dispersity (Đ) or molecular weight distribution (MWD) is a basic but vital parameter for the properties of polymeric materials. Developing new methodologies for controlling polymer MWD is emerging as a research hotspot. However, the methods to tune polymer MWD in cationic polymerization are still not well explored. Herein, we present a simple method to control the dispersity of poly(isobutyl vinyl ether) (PIBVE) by mixing two different chain transfer agents in batch visible light induced cationic RAFT polymerization. A broad dispersity range (Đ ≈ 1.16—1.80) was successfully achieved while maintaining monomodal MWD. Moreover, chain extension of PIBVE through both cationic polymerization and radical polymerization has been studied, which also provides a method to tune polymer MWD in mechanism transformation polymerization.

A Decoupling-Type Strategy for the Allen-Cahn Equation on Curved Surfaces

In this paper, we construct an efficient decoupling-type strategy for solving the Allen-Cahn equation on curved surfaces. It is based on an FEM-EIEQ(Finite Element Method and explicit-Invariant Energy Quadratization) fully discrete scheme with unconditional energy stability. Spatially the FEM is adopted, using a triangular mesh discretization strategy that can be adapted to complex regions. Temporally, the EIEQ approach is considered, which not only linearizes the nonlinear potential but also gives a new variable that we combine with the nonlocal splitting method to achieve the fully decoupled computation. The strategy can successfully transform the Allen-Cahn system into some completely independent algebraic equations and linear elliptic equations with constant coefficients, we only need to solve these simple equations at each time step. Moreover, we conducted some numerical experiments to demonstrate the effectiveness of the strategy.

Experimental study on mechanical behavior of high performance concrete under multi-axial compressive stress

Experimental investigation was conducted to characterize the responses of high performance concrete(HPC) subjected to multiaxial compressive stresses. The HPC specimens were prepared with three different mix proportions, which corresponds to three different uniaxial compressive strengths. The cubic specimens with size of 100 mm for each edge were tested with servo-hydraulic actuators at different stress ratios. The principal stresses and strains of the specimens were recorded, and the failure of the cubic specimens under various stress states was examined. The experimental results indicated that the stress states and stress ratios had significant influence on the strength and deformation of HPC under biaxial and triaxial compression, especially under triaxial compression. Failure criteria were proposed for the HPC specimens under biaxial and triaxial compressive loading. The test results provided a valuable reference for obtaining multi-axial constitutive law for HPC.

In recent years,due to the broad application of biochars,the preparation,environmental behavior and aging processes of biochars have attracted wide attention globally,especially the modification of ***,most of the studies only consider the improvement of biochar properties right after the modification,but neglect a complete evaluation of the long-term stability and eco-toxicity of these newly developed materials after entering the *** the development and utilization of biochars,engineered biochars(EngBCs)will soon enter the market,but its environmental risk still remains *** literature does not provide adequate information on how aging of EngBCs will affect their properties,and indirectly impact the properties of soils(cycle of elements and organic matter).Therefore,this review paper summarizes the aging process and environmental risk of biochars,aiming at better understanding the interactions between EngBCs and soil components or *** importantly,this review is to point out the contradictory speculations of environmental behavior of EngBCs studied at the present *** to the modification,the EngBCs stability may be significantly ***,the formation of functional group on EngBCs will enhance their interaction with soil minerals to form biochars-mineral complex,and thus EngBCs could be *** impacts of EngBCs after entering the environment are also ***,understanding EngBCs environmental behavior is critical,which is helpful to reduce the potential risk and to produce EngBCs following the rule of sustainable development and safety to the environment.

To detect bull’s-eye anomalies in low-frequency seismic inversion models,the study proposed an advanced method using an optimized you only look once version 7(YOLOv7)*** model is enhanced by integrating advanced modules,including the bidirectional feature pyramid network(BiFPN),weighted intersection-over-union(wise-IoU),efficient channel attention(ECA),and atrous spatial pyramid pooling(ASPP).BiFPN facilitates robust feature extraction by enabling bidirectional information fl ow across network scales,which enhances the ability of the model to capture complex patterns in seismic inversion ***-IoU improves the precision and fi neness of reservoir feature localization through its weighted approach to ***,ECA optimizes interactions between channels,which promotes eff ective information exchange and enhances the overall response of the model to subtle inversion ***,the ASPP module strategically addresses spatial dependencies at multiple scales,which further enhances the ability of the model to identify complex reservoir *** synergistically integrating these advanced modules,the proposed model not only demonstrates superior performance in detecting bull’s-eye anomalies but also marks a pioneering step in utilizing cutting-edge deep learning technologies to enhance the accuracy and reliability of seismic reservoir prediction in oil and gas *** results meet scientifi c literature standards and provide new perspectives on methodology,which makes signifi cant contributions to ongoing eff orts to refi ne accurate and effi cient prediction models for oil and gas exploration.

Joint state and parameter estimation in particle filtering and stochastic optimization

In this paper, an adaptive estimation algorithm is proposed for non-linear dynamic systems with unknown static parameters based on combination of particle filtering and Simultaneous Perturbation Stochastic Approxi- mation （SPSA） technique. The estimations of parameters are obtained by maximum-likelihood estimation and sampling within particle filtering framework, and the SPSA is used for stochastic optimization and to approximate the gradient of the cost function. The proposed algorithm achieves combined estimation of dynamic state and static parameters of nonlinear systems. Simulation result demonstrates the feasibilitv and efficiency of the proposed algorithm
