Defects-rich heterointerfaces integrated with adjustable crystalline phases and atom vacancies,as well as veiled dielectric-responsive character,are instrumental in electromagnetic *** methods,however,constrain their delicate ***,an innovative alternative is proposed:carrageenan-assistant cations-regulated(CACR)strategy,which induces a series of sulfides nanoparticles rooted in situ on the surface of carbon *** unique configuration originates from strategic vacancy formation energy of sulfides and strong sulfides-carbon support interaction,benefiting the delicate construction of defects-rich heterostructures in m_(x)S_(y)/carbon composites(m-CAs).impressively,these generated sulfur vacancies are firstly found to strengthen electron accumulation/consumption ability at heterointerfaces and,simultaneously,induct local asymmetry of electronic structure to evoke large dipole moment,ultimately leading to polarization coupling,i.e.,defect-type interfacial ***“Janus effect”(Janus effect means versatility,as in the Greek two-headed Janus)of interfacial sulfur vacancies is intuitively confirmed by both theoretical and experimental investigations for the first ***,the sulfur vacancies-rich heterostructured Co/Ni-CAs displays broad absorption bandwidth of 6.76 GHz at only 1.8 mm,compared to sulfur vacancies-free CAs without any dielectric *** defects-rich heterostructures,this one-pot CACR strategy may steer the design and development of advanced nanomaterials,boosting functionality across diverse application dom.ins beyond electromagnetic response.

Trihalomethane formation potential of organic fractions in secondary effluent

Organic matter is known to be the precursor of numerous chlorination by-products. Organic matter in the secondary effluent from the Wenchang Wastewater Treatment Plant （Harbin, China） was physically separated into the following fractions： particulate organic carbon （1.2-0.45 μm）, colloidal organic carbon （0.45-0.1 μm）, fine colloidal organic carbon （0.1-0.025 μm）, and dissolved organic carbon （DOC）（〈 0.025 μm）. moreover, 〈 0.45 μm fraction was chemically separated into hydrophobic acid （HPO-A）, hydrophobic neutral （HPO-N）, transphilic acid （TPi-A）, transphilic neutral （TPi-N）, and hydrophllic fraction （HPi）. The chlorine reactivity of these organic fractions obtained from both size and XAD fractionations were evaluated. The structural and chemical compositions of the HPO-A, HPO-N, TPi-A, and TPi-N isolates were characterized using elemental analysis （C, H, O, and N）, Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy （FT-iR）, and proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy （1H-NmR）. Results showed that DOC was dominant in terms of total concentration and trihalomethane formation potential （THmFP）, and there was no statistical difference in both specific THmFP （STHmFP） and specific ultraviolet light absorbance among the 0.45, 0.1, and 0.025 ixm filtrates. HPO-A had the highest STHmFP compared to other chemical fractions. HPO-A, HPO-N, TPi-A, and TPi-N contained 3.02%-3.52% of nitrogen. The molar ratio of H/C increased in the order of HPO-A 〈 HPO-N 〈 TPi-A 〈 TPi-N. The O/C ratio was relatively high for TPi-N as compared to those for the other fractions. ^1H-NmR analysis of the four fractions indicated that the relative content of aromatic protons in HPO-A was significantly higher than those in the others. The ratio of aliphatic to aromatic protons increased in the order of HPO-A 〈 HPO-N 〈 TPi-A 〈 TPi-N. Designing a risk prognosis model based on natural killer cell-linked genes to accurately evaluate the prognosis of gastric cancer

Background:This study was aimed at identifying natural killer(NK)cell-related genes to design a risk prognosis model for the accurate evaluation of gastric cancer(GC)***:We obtained NK cell-related genes from various databases,followed by Cox regression analysis and molecular typing to identify prognostic *** immune algorithms and enrichment analyses were used to investigate the mutations,immune status,and pathway variations among different *** key prognostic genes were assessed using the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(Lasso)regression analysis and univariate Cox regression ***,the risk score(RS)prognosis model was constructed based on the selected important prognostic genes.A Receiver Operating Characteristics(ROC)curve was plotted for analyzing the robustness of the ***,the decision and calibration curves were used for assessing the reliability and prediction accuracy of the proposed ***‘pRRophetic’R software package was utilized for predicting the half-maximal inhibitory concentration(iC50)of immunotherapy and chemotherapy ***:We screened 21 prognostic genes and three molecular subtypes and found that the C1 subtype had the worst ***,the pathways promoting tumor proliferation,such as epithelial-mesenchymal transition were significantly *** results also showed that the macrophages in the m2 stage were significantly infiltrated in the C1 subtype,and there was significant overexpression in the C1 subtype,accompanied by a severe inflammatory *** C1 was highly sensitive to drugs like 5-fluorouracil and *** ROC,calibration curve,and decision curve showed that the risk model was robust and strongly ***:Overall,our proposed NK cell-related RS model can be used as a more accurate prediction index for GC patients,providing a valuable contribution to personalized medicine.

Performance of Catalytically Active membrane Reactors with Different A/V Ratios

Although the performance of membrane reactors (mR) is highly affected by the ratio of membrane area-to-reaction volume, there are few studies on this effect owing to the difficulties associated with reactor manufacture. in this study, an mR with high A/V ratio, a diameter of 35 m, and a height of 0.8 mm was fabricated. Separation performance of this mR was investigated in an n-butanol/water system. Esterification of acetic acid and n-butanol was used as the model reaction to investigate the performance of catalytically active membrane reactors (CAmR) with different A/V ratios. The reaction conversion was 38.59% in the CAmR with the high A/V ratio of 12,497/m, which was much higher than that in other CAmRs, for reaction time of 60 min and W/Vfratio of 0.093 g/mL. Excellent catalytic stability of the CAmR was confirmed by performing long-term stability experiments. © 2017 Tianjin University and Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany

Terahertz metamaterial Sensor Based on Electromagnetically induced Transparency Effect

A terahertz metamaterial sensor adopting the metamaterial-based electromagnetically induced transparency（EiT） effect is presented for determining the 1,4-dioxane concentration in its aqueous solution. The metamaterial sensor, which consists of an EiT element unit with a cut-wire metallic resonator and two split-ring metallic resonators fabricated on a 490-μm thick silicon substrate, operates in a transmission geometry. The EiT peak was red-shifted and decreased with the increase of the water volume. A maximum redshift about 54 GHz of the EiT peak was detected between the 1,4-dioxane and water. The presented linear behavior and high sensitivity of the EiT peak depending on the water concentration pave a novel avenue for sensor applications.

Transverse Bending Characteristics in U-channel Forming of Tailor Rolled Blank

Research on the formability of tailor rolled blank （TRB） is of good practical significance and application value because of the enormous potential of TRB in the aspect of automobile lightweight. However, the forming of TRB is problematic because of the varying properties; especially, springback is a m.in challenge. The transverse bending （bending axis is perpendicular to the rolling direction） of TRB U channel was studied through simulation and experiment. The forming characteristics of TRB U channel during transverse bending were analyzed. The mechanisms of forming defects, including bending springback and thickness transition zone （TTZ） movement, were revealed. On this basis, effects of blank geometric parameters on springbaek and TTZ movement were discussed. The results indicate that springback and TTZ movement happen during transverse bending of TRB U-channel. Nonuni form stress distribution is the most fundamental reason for the occurrence of springback of TRB during transverse bending. Annealing can eliminate nonuniform stress distribution, and thus diminish springbaek of TRB, especially springback on the thinner side. Therefore, springback of the whole TRB becomes more uniform. However, annealing can increase the TTZ movement. Blank thickness and TTZ position are the m.in factors affecting the formability of TRB U-channel during transverse bending.

Highly Efficient Oxygen Reduction Reaction Fe-N-C Cathode in Long-durable Direct Glycol Fuel Cells

The oxygen reduction reaction in direct glycol fuel cells heavily relies on noble metal-based *** this work,novel Pt group metal-free catalysts based on porous Fe-N-C materials are successfully synthesized as catalysts with high activity and durability for the cathode oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Through the encapsulation of NH_(4)SCN salt,the surface elements and pore structure of the catalyst are effectively changed,and the active sites of Fe effectively are *** half-wave potential of the best Fe-N-C catalyst was-0.02 V ***/HgO in an alkaline *** porous Fe-N-C catalyst possesses a large specific surface area(1158 m^(2)/g)and shows good activity and tolerance to *** direct glycol fuel cell with the Fe-N-C cathode achieved a maximum power density of 62.2 mW/cm^(2) with 4 mol/L KOH and 4 mol/L glycol solution at 25°C and m.intained discharge for more than 250 h at a 50 A/cm^(2) current density.

Bubble Behavior and Heat Transfer of Nucleate Pool Boiling on micro-Pin-Finned Surface in microgravity

Nucleate pool boiling on micro-pin-finned surface structure is proposed for efficiently cooling electronic compo- nents with high heat flux in microgravity, and was verified by experiments performed utilizing the drop tower Beijing. micro-pin-fins with tile dimensions of 50 × （30 μm2 （thickness × height） and the space of 50 μm were fabricated on the chip surface by the dry etching technique. FC-72 was used as the working fluid. Nucleate pool boiling of FC-72 on a smooth surface was also tested for comparison. Unlike much obvious deterioration of heat transfer of nucleate pool boiling on the smooth surface in microgravity, constant heater surface temperature of nucleate pool boiling for the micro-pin-finned surface was observed, even though a large coalesced bubble completely covered the surface under microgravity condition. The performance of high efficient heat transfer on micro-pin-finned surface is independent of the gravity, which stems from the sufficient supply of fresh liquid to the heater surface due to the capillary forces.

Distribution and drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria in emergency patients
