Load-sharing Characteristic of Multiple Pinions Driving in tunneling Boring Machine

The failure of the key parts, such as gears, in cutter head driving system of tunneling boring machine has not been properly solved under the interaction of driving motors asynchronously and wave tunneling torque load. A dynamic model of multi-gear driving system is established considering the inertia effects of driving mechanism and cutter head as well as the bending-torsional coupling. By taking into account the nonlinear coupling factors between ring gear and multiple pinions, the influence for meshing angle by bending-torsional coupling and the dynamic load-sharing characteristic of multiple pinions driving are analyzed. Load-sharing coefficients at different rotating cutter head speeds and input torques are presented. Numerical results indicate that the load-sharing coefficients can reach up to 1.2-1.3. A simulated experimental platform of the multiple pinions driving is carried out and the torque distributions under the step load in driving shaft of pinions are measured. The imbalance of torque distribution of pinions is verified and the load-sharing coefficients in each pinion can reach 1.262. The results of simulation and test are similar, which shows the correctness of theoretical model. A loop coupling control method is put forward based on current torque master slave control method. The imbalance of the multiple pinions driving in cutter head driving system of tunneling boring machine can be greatly decreased and the load-sharing coefficients can be reduced to 1.051 by using the loop coupling control method. The proposed research provides an effective solution to the imbalance of torque distribution and synchronous control method for multiple pinions driving of TBM.

Effects of elevated CO_2 levels on root morphological traits and Cd uptakes of two Lolium species under Cd stress

This study was conducted to investigate the combined effects of elevated CO2 levels and cadmium (Cd) on the root morphological traits and Cd accumulation in Lolium multiflorum *** Lolium perenne *** to two CO2 levels (360 and 1000 μl/L) and three Cd levels (0,4,and 16 mg/L) under hydroponic *** results show that elevated levels of CO2 increased shoot biomass more,compared to root biomass,but decreased Cd concentrations in all plant *** exposure caused toxicity to both Lolium species,as shown by the restrictions of the root morphological parameters including root length,surface area,volume,and tip *** parameters were significantly higher under elevated levels of CO2 than under ambient CO2,especially for the number of fine *** increases in magnitudes of those parameters triggered by elevated levels of CO2 under Cd stress were more than those under non-Cd stress,suggesting an ameliorated Cd stress under elevated levels of *** total Cd uptake per pot,calculated on the basis of biomass,was significantly greater under elevated levels of CO2 than under ambient *** Cd toxicity,decreased Cd concentration,and altered root morphological traits in both Lolium species under elevated levels of CO2 may have implications in food safety and phytoremediation.

Analysis of a rainwater harvesting system for domestic water supply in Zhoushan,China

The domestic rainwater harvesting system (DRHS) is an important freshwater source for Zhoushan,China to meet water demands. A computer model has been generated to analyze the performance of the DRHS with different ratios of D/(AR) (water demand/average annual collected runoff) and S/(AR) (storage capacity/average annual collected runoff). The performance of the DRHS was analyzed by means of the model simulation,which is described by its water shortage rate (WSR) and water loss rate (WLR). Using the data,a set of dimensionless design calculation chart is introduced. When the water demand and requirement of the design are known,the established chart can be used to easily determine the storage capacity and catchment (roof and other surface) area required to achieve a desired performance level.

Distributed Periodic Event-Triggered Optimal Control of DC Microgrids Based on Virtual Incremental Cost

Effect of interaction between cementite and pearlite on two-body abrasive wear behaviors in white cast iron

The wear interaction of cementite and pearlite in the white cast iron(WCI)was investigated using the two-body abrasive wear test under contact loads of 20,35,and 50 *** wear behavior,wear surface morphology,sub-surface structure,and wear resistance were evaluated using X-ray diffraction,microhardness testing,and *** results indicated that when the Cr content was increased from 0 to 4 wt%,there was a significant increase in the microhardness(H)and elasticity modulus(E)of the *** yielded a 15.91%-and 23.6%-reduction in the degree of wear resistance and surface roughness,***,no spalling and breaking of cementite was observed with increasing Cr content during the wear process,indicating improved wear resistance of the bulk *** addition,the hard phase(cementite)and tough matrix(pearlite)composite structure exhibited a good protective and supporting ***,it was concluded that the interaction mechanism of the wear phase contributed to the reduction of the wear weight loss of the composite during the wear *** contribution of the interaction between the hard wear-resistant phase and the tough phase in WCI to the wear resistance decreased with increasing hardness of the pearlite matrix.

An integrated MINLP model for multi-party coordination in downstream oil supply chain

Cooperation among enterprises can bring overall and individual performance improvement,and a smooth coordination method is ***,due to the lack of customized coordination methods,cooperation in the downstream oil supply chain cannot be carried out *** paper intends to propose a multi-party coordination method to promote cooperation between oil shippers and pipeline operator by optimizing oil transportation,oil substitution and pipeline pricing *** integrated game-theoretic modeling and analysis approach is developed to characterize the operation behaviors of all stakeholders in the downstream oil supply *** proposed mixed integer nonlinear programming model constrains supply and demand capacity,transportation routes,oil substitution rules and pipeline freight *** transformation and price discretization are introduced for model linear *** experiments are carried out in the oil distribution system in South *** results show that compared to the business-as-usual scheme,the new scheme saves transportation cost by 3.48%,increases pipeline turnover by 5.7%,and reduces energy consumption and emissions by 7.66%and 6.77%.It is proved that the proposed method improves the revenue of the whole system,achieves fair revenue distribution,and also improves the energy and environmental benefits of the oil supply chain.
