Synthetic polymer membranes are widely used in many applications,including,among others,water purification,protein separation,and ***,the use of existing polymer membranes faces major challenges,such as the trade-off between permeability and selectivity,membrane fouling,and poor mechanical *** address these problems the authors have focused their research on surface/interfacial tailoring and the structure-property relationship of polymer membranes used in liquid separation *** has been made as follows:(1)a methodology for membrane surface functionalization and nanofiltration(NF)membrane preparation based on mussel-inspired catecholic chemistry was proposed and established;(2)a class of mechanically robust and environmentally-responsive composite membranes with hydrogel pore-filled in rigid macroporous supports was designed and developed;(3)a methodology for surface tailoring and antifouling modification of polymer membranes based on amphiphilic copolymers was created and the scientific implications for amphiphilic polymer membranes elaborated;(4)an adsorption membrane with both filtration and adsorption functions was designed and developed to achieve rapid removal of trace micropollutants,including heavy metal ions,organic dyes,plasticizer,antibiotics,and *** mini-review briefly summarizes this work.

Alphaviruses,which contain a variety of mosquito-borne pathogens,are important pathogens of emerging/reemerging infectious diseases and potential biological ***,no specific antiviral drugs are available for the treatment of alphaviruses *** most highly pathogenic alphaviruses are classified as risk group-3 agents,the requirement of biosafety level 3(BSL-3)facilities limits the live virus-based antiviral *** facilitate the antiviral development of alphaviruses,we developed a high throughput screening(HTS)platform based on a recombinant Semliki Forest virus(SFV)which can be manipulated in BSL-2 *** the reverse genetics approach,the recombinant SFV and SFV reporter virus expressing eGFP(SFV-eGFP)were successfully *** SFV-eGFP reporter virus exhibited robust eGFP expression and remained relatively stable after four passages in BHK-21 *** a broad-spectrum alphavirus inhibitor ribavirin,we demonstrated that the SFV-eGFP can be used as an effective tool for antiviral *** SFV-eGFP reporter virus-based HTS assay in a 96-well format was then established and optimized with a robust Z0 score.A section of reference compounds that inhibit highly pathogenic alphaviruses were used to validate that the SFV-eGFP reporter virus-based HTS assay enables rapid screening of potent broad-spectrum inhibitors of *** assay provides a safe and convenient platform for antiviral study of alphaviruses.

Objective To establish a conceptual model of automatic early warning of infectious diseases based on internet reporting surveillance system, with a view to realizing an automated warning system on a dally basis and timely identifying potential outbreaks of infectious diseases. Methods The statistic conceptual model was established using historic surveillance data with movable percentile method. Results Based on the infectious disease surveillance information platform, the conceptual model for early warning was established. The parameter, threshold, and revised sensitivity and specificity of early warning value were changed to realize dynamic alert of infectious diseases on a dally basis. Conclusion The instructive conceptual model of dynamic alert can be used as a validating tool in institutions of infectious disease surveillance in different districts.

Prostaglandins （PGs） play a critical role in porcine reproduction, of which prostaglandin E2 （PGE2） and prostaglandin F2a （PGF2a） exert antiluteolytic and luteolysis actions, respectively. As a rate-limiting enzyme, carbonyl reductase 1 （CBR1） catalyzes the conversion of PGE2 to PGF2a. A high ratio of PGE2：PGF2a is beneficial to the establishment and maintenance of porcine pregnancy. PG is essential for the establishment of pregnancy which resembles the proinflammatory response and nuclear factor KB （NF-KB） is involved in the process. Bioinformatic analysis has shown that NF-KB is a possible factor bound to two cis-regulatory elements in CBRI promoter. In this study, we cloned the 2997 bp （-2875/＋122） of the promoter, and constructed six 5＇-deleted dual-luciferase reporter recombinant vectors. In endometrial cells, the region of P2 （-16401＋7） exhibited the greatest transcriptional activity at driving luciferase expression, but not significantly different from that of P1 （-2089/＋7）. The activity of P1, P2, and P3 （-1019/＋7） was highly significantly higher than that of others （P〈0.01）, suggesting that two positive regulatory elements were likely present in the regions of -1640/-1019 and -1019/-647. The results also showed that the -1640/ -647 region was indispensable for the promoter. The results of chromatin immunoprecipitation （CHIP） demonstrated that the NF-KB subunit p65 binds to one site around -15451-1531. Using four reference genes, we found that the over-expression of p65 enhanced the expression of CBR1 （P〈0.05） in porcine endometrial epithelial cells, while knockdown of the p65 did not down-regulate the CBRI expression. These results indicated that NF-KB （p65） could bind to the special element of CBR1 gene promoter in porcine endometrial epithelial cells in vitro. The binding site of NF-KB was a positive regulator for the CBR1 gene promoter, but was not necessary for the basic expression.

AIM:To evaluate the possible relationship between the Ku80 gene polymorphism and the risk of gastric cancer in ***:In this hospital-based case-control study of gastric cancer in jiangsu Province,China,we investigated the association of the Ku80 G-1401T (rs828907) polymorphism with gastric cancer risk.A total of 241 patients with gastric cancer and 273 age-and sexmatched control subjects were genotyped and analyzed by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length ***:The frequencies of genotypes GG,GT and TT were 65.6%,22.8% and 11.6% in gastric cancer cases,respectively,and 75.8%,17.6% and 6.6% in controls,*** were significant differences between gastric cancer and control groups in the distribution of their genotypes (P=0.03) and allelic frequencies (P=0.002) in the Ku80 promoter G-1401T ***:The T allele of Ku80 G-1401T may be associated with the development of gastric cancer.
