A novel Ag/ZnO core-shell structure for efficient sterilization synergizing antibiotics and subsequently removing residuals

The massive use of antibiotics has led to the aggravation of bacterial resistance and also brought environmental pollution *** poses a great threat to human *** the dosage of antibiotics is reduced by increasing its bactericidal performance,the emergence of drug resistance is certainly delayed,so that there's not enough time for developing drug resistance during ***,we selected typical representative materials of metal Ag and semiconductor ZnO nano-bactericides to design and synthesize Ag/ZnO hollow core-shell structures(AZ for short).Antibiotics are grafted on the surface of AZ through rational modification to form a composite sterilization *** research results show that the antibacterial efficiency of the composite system is significantly increased,from the sum(34.7%+22.8%-57.5%)of the antibacterial efficiency of AZ and gentamicin to 80.2%,net synergizes 22.7%,which fully reflects the effect of 1+1>***,the dosage of antibiotics can be drastically reduced in this way,which makes both the possibility of bacterial resistance and medical expenses remarkably ***,residual antibiotics can be degraded under simple illumination using AZ-self as a photocatalyst,which cuts off the path of environmental *** short,such an innovative route has guiding significance for drug resistance.

Si-wu-Tang attenuates liver fibrosis via regulating lncRNA H19-dependent pathways involving cytoskeleton remodeling and ECM deposition

Liver fibrosis is a dynamic wound-healing response characterized by the agglutination of the extracellular matrix(ECM).Si-wu-Tang(SWT),a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula,is known for treating gynecological diseases and liver *** previous studies demonstrated that long non-coding RNA H19(H19)was markedly upregulated in fibrotic livers while its deficiency markedly reversed ***,the mechanisms by which SWT influences H19 remain ***,we established a bile duct ligation(BDL)-induced liver fibrosis model to evaluate the hepatoprotective effects of SWT on various cells in the *** results showed that SWT markedly improved ECM deposition and bile duct reactions in the ***,SWT relieved liver fibrosis by regulating the transcription of genes involved in the cytoskeleton remodeling,primarily in hepatic stellate cells(HSCs),and influencing cytoskeleton-related angiogenesis and hepatocellular *** modulation collectively led to reduced ECM *** extensive bioinformatics analyses,we determined that H19 acted as a miRNA sponge and mainly inhibited miR-200,miR-211,and let7b,thereby regulating the above cellular regulatory ***,SWT reversed H19-related miRNAs and signaling pathways,diminishing ECM deposition and liver ***,these protective effects of SWT were diminished with the overexpression of H19 in *** conclusion,our study elucidates the underlying mechanisms of SWT from the perspective of H19-related signal networks and proposes a potential SWT-based therapeutic strategy for the treatment of liver fibrosis.

The genus Scincella Mittleman,1950,within the family Scincidae,is a diverse group comprising 39 described *** taxonomy of the genus is complex due to morphological similarities among species,which often obscures the true extent of biodiversity,resulting in several undescribed species requiring further *** China,particularly within the unique ecosystems of the Hengduan Mountains,the diversity of Scincella is notably underestimated,with only 12 species currently *** the present study,we describe a new species of the genus Scincella,Scincella liangshanensis ***.,from Sichuan Province,Southwest *** characteristics and phylogenetic analyses revealed that the putative new species is distinct from all other known *** discovery not only expands the known diversity of Scincella but also emphasizes the inadequacies in our current understanding of herpetological diversity in *** addition of this species to the scientific record highlights the necessity for ongoing biodiversity assessments to uncover hidden species and enhance our understanding of the intricate web of life in one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots.

The strong pyrocatalytic dye decomposition of the BaTiO_(3)/Pr_(2)O_(3) heterojunction catalyst under cold–hot alternation conditions has been demonstrated in this *** pure BaTiO_(3) nanofibers,~54%rhodamine B(RhB)dye is decomposed under the cold–hot alternation of 29–57℃.With the loading content of Pr_(2)O_(3) increases from 0 to 4 wt%,the pyrocatalytic decomposition ratio of RhB solution increases first and then decreases,eventually achieving a maximum of 91%at 3 wt%.The enhanced pyrocatalytic performance after loading Pr_(2)O_(3) can be attributed to an internal electric field of the heterojunction,which effectively separates positive and negative *** strongly pyrocatalytic performance of BaTiO_(3)/Pr_(2)O_(3) makes it hopeful for applications in the dye wastewater treatment through harvesting the environmental cold–hot temperature alternation thermal energy in future.

BoMyrosinase plays an essential role in sulforaphane accumulation in response to selenite treatment in broccoli

Sulforaphane, a naturally specialized metabolite, plays significant roles in human disease prevention and plant defense. Myrosinase(MY) is a key gene responsible for the catalysis of sulforaphane formation, but the molecular mechanisms through which MY regulates sulforaphane biosynthesis in plants remains largely unknown. Here, we discovered that the change of sulforaphane content in broccoli sprouts caused by exogenous selenite treatments is positively related to BoMY expression. BoMY overexpression in the Arabidopsis thaliana tgg1 mutants could dramatically increase myrosinase activity and sulforaphane content in the rosette leaves of 35S::BoMY/tgg1 and rescue its ***, an obvious increase of myrosinase activity and sulforaphane content was displayed in transgenic BoMY-overexpressed broccoli *** addition, a 2 033 bp promoter fragment of BoMY was isolated. Yeast one-hybrid(Y1H) library screening experiment uncovered that one bHLH transcription factor, BoFAMA, could directly bind to BoMY promoter to activate its expression, which was further evidenced by Y1H assay and dual-luciferase reporter assay. BoFAMA is a selenite-responsive transcription factor that is highly expressed in broccoli leaves;its protein is solely localized to nucleus. Additionally, genetic evidence suggested that the knockdown of FAMA gene in Arabidopsis thaliana could significantly decrease sulforaphane yield by inhibiting the expression of myrosinase genes. Interestingly, exogenous selenite supply could partially restore the low level of sulforaphane content in transgenic Arabidopsis FAMA-silencing plants. Our findings uncover a novel function of FAMAMY module in the regulation of selenite-mediated sulforaphane synthesis and provide a new insights into the molecular mechanism by which selenite regulates the accumulation of sulforaphane in plants.

It is still a lack of bifunctional catalysts for ammonia oxidation reaction(AOR)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)due to their different reaction *** this work,P is doped into PtZn alloy by calcination with NaH_(2)PO_(2) as P source to induce the lattice tensile strain of Pt and the electronic interaction between P and Zn,which optimizes the AOR and HER activity *** sample with the optimal P content can drive the AOR peak current density of 293.6 mA·mgPt^(-1),which is almost 2.7 times of *** HER,the overpotential at^(-1)0 mA·cm^(-2) is only 23 mV with Tafel slope of 34.1 mV·dec^(-1).Furthermore,only 0.59 V is needed to obtain 50 mA·mgPt^(-1) for ammonia electrolysis under a two-electrode ***,this work shows an ingenious method to design bifunctional catalysts for ammonia electrolysis.

A robust vector tracking loop structure based on potential bias analysis

This paper proposes a robust vector tracking loop structure based on potential bias analysis. The influence of four kinds of biases on the existing two implementations of Vector Tracking Loops(VTLs) is illustrated by theoretical analysis and numerical simulations, and the following findings are obtained. Firstly, the initial user state bias leads to steady navigation solution bias in the relative VTL, while new measurements can eliminate it in the absolute VTL. Secondly, the initial code phase bias is transferred to the following navigation solutions in the relative VTL, while new measurements can eliminate it in the absolute VTL. Thirdly, the user state bias induced by erroneous navigation solution of VTLs can be eliminated by both of the two VTLs. Fourthly,the multipath/NLOS likely affects the two VTLs, and the induced tracking bias in the duration of the multipath/NLOS would decrease the performance of VTLs. Based on the above analysis,a robust VTL structure is proposed, where the absolute VTL is selected for its robustness to the two kinds of initialization biases;meanwhile, the instant bias detection and correction method is used to improve the performance of VTLs in the duration of the multipath/NLOS. Numerical simulations and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed robust VTL structure.

In this paper,the structure evolution of cerium cobaltohexanoate(Ce[Co(CN)6],Ce-Co Prussian blue analog(PBA))has been realized by solvent catalysis at room *** hexagonal bipyramidal microcrystals of Ce-Co PBA can be gradually transformed into dendrites by different proportions of ethanol(EtOH)and *** the same time,the porous dendrites CeO_(2)/Co@carbon nanotub(CNT)with oxygen-rich vacancies(OVs)can be obtained by annealing Ce-Co PBA at 700℃.The microstructure study shows that carbon nanotubes will be catalyzed after annealing at high temperature,and the cobalt metal particles encapsulated in carbon nanotubes will be anchored in the matrix,regulating the impedance matching and multi-polarization suppression of the material,and its unique structure,vacancies,and strong interface effect make the material exhibit excellent electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorption *** the matching thickness is 2.5 mm,the minimum reflection loss(RLmin)of the composite is-51.68 dB,and the effective absorption bandwidth(RL<-10 dB)is 7.76 *** results show that the prepared CeO_(2)/Co@CNT composite has excellent EMW absorption *** is expected to be a candidate material for EMW absorption.

On optimal charging scheduling for electric vehicles with wind power generation

We consider the scheduling of battery charging of electric vehicles(EVs)integrated with renewable power *** increasing adoption of EVs and the development of renewable energies contribute importance to this *** optimization of charging scheduling is challenging because of the large action space,the multi-stage decision making,and the high *** solve this problem is time-consuming when the scale of the system is *** is urgent to develop a practical and efficient method to properly schedule the charging of *** contribution of this work is ***,we provide a sufficient condition on which the charging of EVs can be completely self-sustained by distributed *** algorithm is proposed to obtain the optimal charging policy when the sufficient condition ***,the scenario when the supply of the renewable power generation is deficient is *** prove that when the renewable generation is deterministic there exists an optimal policy which follows the modified least laxity and longer remaining processing time first(mLLLP)***,we provide an adaptive rule-based algorithm which obtains a near-optimal charging policy efficiently in general *** test the proposed algorithm by numerical *** results show that it performs better than the other existing rule-based methods.
