Nomogram predicting the cardiovascular disease mortality for older patients with colorectal cancer:A real-world population-based study

BACKGROUND Cardio-oncology has received increasing attention especially among older patients with colorectal cancer(CRC).Cardiovascular disease(CVD)-specific mortality is the second-most frequent cause of *** risk factors for CVDspecific mortality among older patients with CRC are still poorly *** To identify the prognostic factors and construct a nomogram-based model to predict the CVD-specific mortality among older patients with *** The data on older patients diagnosed with CRC were retrieved from The Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results database from 2004 to *** prognostic factors and a nomogram-based model predicting the CVD-specific mortality were assessed using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator and Cox *** A total of 141251 eligible patients with CRC were enrolled,of which 41459 patients died of CRC and 12651 patients died of *** age at diagnosis,sex,marital status,year of diagnosis,surgery,and chemotherapy were independent prognostic factors associated with CVD-specific mortality among older patients with *** used these variables to develop a model to predict CVD-specific *** calibration curves for CVD-specific mortality probabilities showed that the model was in good agreement with actual *** C-index value of the model in the training cohort and testing cohort for predicting CVD-specific mortality was 0.728 and 0.734,*** The proposed nomogram-based model for CVD-specific mortality can be used for accurate prognostic prediction among older patients with *** model is a potentially useful tool for clinicians to identify high-risk patients and develop personalized treatment plans.

An efficient labeled memory system for learned indexes

The appearance and wide use of memory hardware bring significant changes to the conventional vertical memory hierarchy that fails to handle contentions for shared hardware resources and expensive data *** deal with these problems,existing schemes have to rely on inefficient scheduling strategies that also cause extra temporal,spatial and bandwidth *** on the insights that the shared hardware resources trend to be uniformly and hierarchically offered to the requests for co-located applications in memory systems,we present an efficient abstraction of memory hierarchies,called Label,which is used to establish the connection between the application layer and underlying hardware *** on labels,our paper proposes LaMem,a labeled,resource-isolated and cross-tiered memory system by leveraging the way-based partitioning technique for shared resources to guarantee QoS demands of applications,while supporting fast and low-overhead cache repartitioning ***,we customize LaMem for the learned index that fundamentally replaces storage structures with computation models as a case study to verify the applicability of *** results demonstrate the efficiency and efficacy of LaMem.

Rate transient analysis methods for water-producing gas wells in tight reservoirs with mobile water

3D core-shell nanofibers framework and functional ceramic nanoparticles synergistically reinforced composite polymer electrolytes for high-performance all-solid-state lithium metal battery

Satisfactory ionic conductivity,excellent mechanical stability,and high-temperature resistance are the prerequisites for the safe application of solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs)in all-solid-state lithium metal batteries(ASSLMBs).In this study,a novel poly(m-phenylene isophthalamide)(PMIA)-core/poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)-shell nanofiber membrane and the functional Li_(6.4)La_(3)Zr_(1.4)Ta_(0.6)O_(12)(LLZTO)ceramic nanopar-ticle are simultaneously introduced into the PEO-based SPEs to prepare composite polymer electrolytes(CPEs).The core PMIA layer of composite nanofibers can greatly improve the mechanical strength and thermal stability of the CPEs,while the shell PEO layer can provide the 3D continuous transport channels for lithium *** addition,the introduction of functional LLZTO nanoparticle not only reduces the crys-tallinity of PEO,but also promotes the dissociation of lithium salts and releases more Li^(+)ions through its interaction with the Lewis acid-base of anions,thereby overall improving the transport of lithium ***,the optimized CPEs present high ionic conductivity of 1.38×10^(−4)S/cm at 30℃,signifi-cantly improved mechanical strength(8.5 MPa),remarkable thermal stability(without obvious shrinkage at 150℃),and conspicuous Li dendrites blocking ability(>1800 h).The CPEs also both have good com-patibility and cyclic stability with LiFePO_(4)(>2000 cycles)and high-voltage LiNi_(0.8)Mn_(0.1)Co_(0.1)O_(2)(NMC811)(>500 cycles)*** addition,even at low temperature(40℃),the assembled LiFePO4/CPEs/Li bat-tery still can cycle *** novel design can provide an effective way to exploit high-performance solid-state electrolytes.

Seafloor topography plays an important role in the evolution of submarine ***,it is still not so clear how the shape of slope affects the three-dimensional(3-D)architecture of submarine *** this study,we analyze the effect of topography factors on different hierarchical lobe architectures that formed during Pliocene to Quaternary in the Rovuma Basin offshore East *** characterize the shape,size and growth pattern of different hierarchical lobe architectures using 3-D seismic *** find that the relief of the topographic slope determines the location of preferential deposition of lobe complexes and single *** the topography is irregular and presents topographic lows,lobe complexes first infill these *** lobes are deposited preferentially at positions with higher longitudinal(***-slope)slope *** the longitudinal slope becomes higher,the aspect ratio of the single lobes ***(***-slope)topography does not seem to have a strong influence on the shape of single lobe,but it seems to affect the overlap of single *** the lateral slope gradient is relatively high,the single lobes tend to have a larger overlap ***,as the average of lateral slope and longitudinal slope gets greater,the width/thickness ratio of the single lobe is smaller,*** tend to accumulate *** results demonstrate that the shape of slopes more comprehensively influences the 3-D architecture of lobes in natural deep-sea systems than previously other lobe deposits and analogue experiments,which helps us better understand the development and evolution of the distal parts of turbidite systems.
