BaCe_(0.8)Fe_(0.1)Ni_(0.1)O_(3−δ)(BCFN)in a perovskite structure is impregnated consecutively by BCFN solution and BCFN suspension into a phase-inversion prepared NiO–Gd_(0.1)Ce_(0.9)O_(2−δ)(GDC)scaffold as an anode for solid oxide fuel cells(SOFCs)with on-cell dry reforming of methane(DRM).The whole pore surface of the scaffold is covered by small BCFN particles formed by BCFN solution impregnation;the large pores near the scaffold surface are filled by BCFN aerogels with a high specific surface area produced by BCFN suspension impregnation,which act as a catalytic layer for on-cell *** reduction,the anode consists of a Ni–GDC scaffold and BCFN particles with exsolved FeNi3 *** BCFN-impregnated Ni–GDC anode has higher electrical conductivity,electrochemical activity,and resistance to carbon deposition,with which the cell shows maximum power densities between 1.44 and 0.92 W·cm^(−2) when using H_(2) and between 1.09 and 0.50 W·cm^(−2) when using CO_(2)–CH_(4) at temperatures ranging from 750 to 600℃.A stable performance at 400 mA·cm^(−2) and 700℃is achieved using 45%CO_(2)–45%CH_(4)–10%N_(2) for more than 400 h without carbon deposition,benefiting from the impregnated BCFN aerogel with a high specific surface area and water adsorbability.

Electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction(NO_(3)RR)offers a unique rationale for green NH_(3) synthesis,yet the lack of high-efficiency NO_(3)RR catalysts remains a great *** this work,we show that Au nanoclusters anchored on TiO_(2) nanosheets can efficiently catalyze the conversion of NO_(3)RR-to-NH_(3) under ambient conditions,achieving a maximal Faradic efficiency of 91%,a peak yield rate of 1923μg·h^(-1)·mgcat.-1,and high durability over 10 consecutive cycles,all of which are comparable to the recently reported metrics(including transition metal and noble metal-based catalysts)and exceed those of pristine TiO_(2).Moreover,a galvanic Zn-nitrate battery using the catalyst as the cathode was proposed,which shows a power density of 3.62 mW·cm^(-2) and a yield rate of 452μg·h^(-1)·mgcat.-*** simulations further indicate that the atomically dispersed Au clusters can promote the adsorption and activation of NO_(3)-species,and reduce the NO_(3)RR-to-NH_(3) barrier,thus leading to an accelerated cathodic *** work highlights the importance of metal clusters for the NH_(3) electrosynthesis and nitrate removal.

This study assesses the suitability of convolutional neural networks(CNNs) for downscaling precipitation over East Africa in the context of seasonal forecasting. To achieve this, we design a set of experiments that compare different CNN configurations and deployed the best-performing architecture to downscale one-month lead seasonal forecasts of june–July–August–September(JJAS) precipitation from the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology Climate Forecast System version 1.0(NUIST-CFS1.0) for 1982–2020. We also perform hyper-parameter optimization and introduce predictors over a larger area to include information about the main large-scale circulations that drive precipitation over the East Africa region, which improves the downscaling results. Finally, we validate the raw model and downscaled forecasts in terms of both deterministic and probabilistic verification metrics, as well as their ability to reproduce the observed precipitation extreme and spell indicator indices. The results show that the CNN-based downscaling consistently improves the raw model forecasts, with lower bias and more accurate representations of the observed mean and extreme precipitation spatial patterns. Besides, CNN-based downscaling yields a much more accurate forecast of extreme and spell indicators and reduces the significant relative biases exhibited by the raw model predictions. Moreover, our results show that CNN-based downscaling yields better skill scores than the raw model forecasts over most portions of East Africa. The results demonstrate the potential usefulness of CNN in downscaling seasonal precipitation predictions over East Africa,particularly in providing improved forecast products which are essential for end users.

We have obtained the constraints on the density dependence of the symmetry energy from neutron-skin thickness data by parityviolating electron scatterings and neutron-star observables using a Bayesian approach,based on the standard Skyrme-HartreeFock(SHF)model and its extension as well as the relativistic mean-field(RMF)*** the neutron-skin thickness data(neutron-star observables)mostly constrain the symmetry energy at subsaturation(suprasaturation)densities,they may more or less constrain the behavior of the symmetry energy at suprasaturation(subsaturation)densities,depending on the energy-density functional *** showing the final posterior density dependence of the symmetry energy,we also compare the slope parameters of the symmetry energy at 0.10 fm-3as well as the values of the symmetry energy at twice saturation density from three effective nuclear *** present work serves as a comparison study based on relativistic and non-relativistic energy-density functionals,for constraining the nuclear symmetry energy from low to high densities using a Bayesian approach.

This paper presents a new method for the dynamics of multibody systems based on unknown constraint force. The method can uniformly solve multibody systems with typical configurations, including the system with rigid-flexible coupling, the system in tree topology, and the system with loop constraints. Unlike common methods, the proposed method can model the loop system without “cutting off” loop constraints, leading to the exact same modelling process as the tree-like system performs. Based on graph theory, a topological record matrix M_(rec) is proposed to capture the arbitrary system configuration. Moreover, constraint forces are selected as the key variables in semi-recursive framework. With the recursive kinematics relationship between adjacent bodies, the constraint force equation is further assembled to achieve the full-state system solution. The numerical simulations demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method.
