Dear Editor,Infections by the influenza virus are a significant and widespread global health threat,as these infections have an annual death toll ranging from 290,000 to 650,000.1 A significant proportion of these fatalities are attributed to secondary bacterial pneumonia,a severe complication commonly caused by ubiquitous respiratory pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus(***).2 Of particular concern is the increased morbidity and mortality rates in individuals infected simultaneously with influenza virus and methicillin-resistant ***(MRSA).3 The concurrent presence of bacteria and influenza virus usually causes acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS),which is associated with acute lung injury(ALI),severe lung tissue edema,and widespread ***,determining the complex mechanisms underlying the synergistic interplay will require further investigation with a suitable coinfection mouse *** our previous study,we utilized different sequential coinfections at various time points to model influenza A virus and MRSA coinfection.

Recent advances in hydrocarbon exploration have been made in the Member Deng-2 marginal microbial mound-bank complex reservoirs of the Dengying Formation in the western Sichuan Basin, SW China,where the depositional process is regarded confusing. The microfacies, construction types, and depositional model of the Member Deng-2 marginal microbial mound-bank complex have been investigated using unmanned aerial vehicle photography, outcrop section investigation, thin section identification,and seismic reflections in the southwestern Sichuan Basin. The microbialite lithologic textures in this region include thrombolite, dendrolite, stromatolite, fenestral stromatolite, spongiostromata stone,oncolite, aggregated grainstone, and botryoidal grapestone. Based on the comprehensive analysis of“depositional fabrics-lithology-microfacies”, an association between a fore mound, mound framework,and back mound subfacies has been proposed based on water depth, current direction, energy level and lithologic assemblages. The microfacies of the mound base, mound core, mound flank, mound cap, and mound flat could be recognized among the mound framework subfacies. Two construction types of marginal microbial mound-bank complex have been determined based on deposition location, mound scale, migration direction, and sedimentary facies association. Type Jinkouhe microbial mound constructions(TJMMCs) develop along the windward margin owing to their proximity to the seaward subfacies fore mound, with a northeastwardly migrated microbial mound on top of the mud mound,exhibiting the characteristics of large-sized mounds and small-sized banks in the surrounding area. Type E'bian microbial mound constructions(TEMMCs) primarily occur on the leeward margin, resulting from the presence of onshore back mound subfacies, with the smaller southwestward migrated microbial mounds existing on a thicker microbial flat. Objective Intestinal fibrosis is a refractory complication of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).Tumor necrosis factor ligand-related molecule-1A(TL1A)is important for IBD-related intestinal fibrosis in a dextran sodium sulfate(DSS)-induced experimental colitis *** study aimed to explore the effects of TL1A on human colonic *** A trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS)-induced experimental colitis model of LCK-CD2-TL1A-GFP transgenic(Tg)or wild-type(WT)mice was established to determine the effect and mechanism of TL1A on intestinal *** human colonic fibroblast CCD-18Co cell line was treated concurrently with TL1A and human peripheral blood mononuclear cell(PBMC)*** proliferation and activation of CCD-18Co cells were detected by BrdU assays,flow cytometry,immunocytochemistry and Western *** metabolism was tested by Western blotting and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR).Results The level of collagen metabolism in the TNBS+ethyl alcohol(EtOH)/Tg group was greater than that in the TNBS+EtOH/WT *** growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)and p-Smad3 in the TNBS+EtOH/Tg group were upregulated as compared with those in the TNBS+EtOH/WT *** proliferation of CCD-18Co cells was promoted by the addition of human PBMC supernatant supplemented with 20 ng/mL TL1A,and the addition of human PBMC supernatant and TL1A increased CCD-18Co proliferation by 24.4%at 24 ***1A promoted cell activation and increased the levels of COL1A2,COL3A1,and TIMP-1 in CCD-18Co *** of CCD-18Co cells with TL1A increased the expression of TGF-β1 and *** TL1A promotes TGF-β1-mediated intestinal fibroblast activation,proliferation,and collagen deposition and is likely related to an increase in the TGF-β1/Smad3 signaling pathway.

Ultrafast rechargeable hybrid potassium dualion capacitors （HPDICs） were designed by employing carbon quantum dot@ultrathin carbon film （CQD@CF） as the cathode *** designed CQD@CF is selfassembled by a simple catalytic graphitization route followed by an acid leaching *** special composite features a large adsorption interface,a remarkable anion hybrid storage capability and outstanding structure *** electrochemical performance of CQD@CF composite is fully tapped in a half-cell system at the operating voltage between 1.4 and 4.5 V,achieving an admirable specific discharge capacity of 128.5 mAh·g-1a 50 mA·g-1,an ultra-high capacity retention ratio of 97.97% after cycling 5000 times at 1000 mA·g-1and a 96.10%high capacity retention ratio after cycling 40,000 times at 5000 mA·g-1,***,with the support of ex situ TEM and XPS,the structural stability principle and anionic hybrid storage mechanism of CQD@CF electrode are investigated *** the full-cell system,HPDICs with the CQD@CF as cathode and nanographite powder as anode also present a 141.5 Wh·kg-1high energy density,a 5850 W·kg-1power density and a super-long cycle stability (90.2% capacity retention ratio after cycling 30,000 times at 5000 mA·g-1).

Cu-based electrocatalysts can have excellent activity for the generation of C_(2+)products from a CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).Cuδ+species is crucial in tuning the performance of the ***,we discovered that Si-doped Cu catalysts had excellent performance for electrochemical CO_(2)to C_(2+)products.A high Faradaic efficiency(FE)of 84.7%was achieved with a current density of 289mA cm^(−2)in the flow-cell *** situ experimental results showed that the significant reconstruction occurred during the electrolysis,resulting in the formation of the asymmetric Cu sites(Cu^(0)-Cu^(+)).The ratio of Cu^(0)and Cu^(+)could be tuned by changing Si *** experiments and theoretical calculations demonstrated that the asymmetric Cu sites caused by the appropriate Si doping promoted CO_(2)activation and strengthened the adsorption of^(*)CO *** was beneficial to the subsequent^(*)CO–^(*)CO dimerization step,and thus,accounted for the enhancement of C_(2+)selectivity.

Solar-driven interfacial evaporation from seawater is considered an effective way to alleviate the emerging freshwater crisis because of its green and environmentally friendly ***,developing an evaporator with high efficiency,stability,and salt resistance remains a key ***,with an internal photothermal conversion efficiency of 100%,has received tremendous research interest as a photothermal ***,the process to prepare the MXene with monolayer is inefficient and generates a large amount of“waste”MXene sediments(MS).Here,MXene sediments is selected as the photothermal material,and a three-dimensional MXene sediments/poly(vinyl alcohol)/sodium alginate aerogel evaporator with vertically aligned pores by directional freezing method is innovatively *** vertical porous structure enables the evaporator to improve water transport,light capture,and high evaporation *** swabs and polypropylene are used as the water channel and support,respectively,thus fabricating a self-floating *** evaporator exhibits an evaporation rate of 3.6 kg m^(-2)h^(-1)under one-sun illumination,and 18.37 kg m^(-2)of freshwater is collected in the condensation collection device after 7 h of outdoor sun *** evaporator also displays excellent oil and salt *** research fully utilizes“waste”MS,enabling a self-floating evaporation device for freshwater collection.
