Lightweight and high-toughness carbon fiber/phenolic ablator(CFPA)is required as the Thermal Protection System(TPS)material of aerospace vehicles for next-generation space *** improve the ablative properties,silica sol with good particle size distribution prepared using tetramethoxysilane(TMOS)was blended with natural rubber latex and deposited onto carbon fiber felt,which was then integrated with phenolic aerogel matrix,introducing nano-silica into the framework of *** modified CFPA with a low density of 0.28—0.31 g/cm3exhibits strain-in-fracture as high as 31.2%and thermal conductivity as low as 0.054 W/(m·K).Furthermore,a trace amount of nano-silica could effectively protect CFPA from erosion of oxidizing atmosphere in different high-temperature *** oxyacetylene ablation test of 3000°C for 20 s shows a mass ablation rate of 0.0225 g/s,a linear ablation rate of 0.209 mm/s for the modified CFPA,which are 9.64%and 24.82%lower than the unmodified ***,the long-time butane ablation test of 1200°C for 200 s shows an insignificant recession with mass and linear ablation rate of 0.079 g/s and 0.039 mm/s,16.84%and 13.33%lower than the unmodified ***,the fixed thermocouple in the test also demonstrates a good thermal insulation performance with a low peak back-face temperature of 207.7°C,12.25%lower than the unmodified ***,the nano-silica modified CFPA with excellent overall performance presents promising prospects in high-temperature aerospace applications.

Leaf color mutants in higher plants are considered to be ideal materials for studying the chlorophyll biosynthesis,photosynthesis mechanism and chloroplast ***,we identified a spontaneous mutant,yc412,in cultivated cucumber that exhibited yellow *** yellow-lethal mutant was diagnosed with an abnormal chloroplast ultrastructure,and reduced photosynthetic capacity and pigment *** bulked segregant analysis-based whole-genome sequencing and fine genetic mapping,we narrowed the yellow cotyledons (yc) locus to a 96.8 kb interval on chromosome *** resequencing and molecular cloning,we showed that Csyc is a potential candidate gene,which encodes a yellow stripe-like (YSL) *** T to C mutation in the promoter region of Csyc caused the yellow cotyledon phenotype in *** to YZU027A (WT),the expression of Csyc was significantly downregulated in the cotyledons of *** of Csyc in cucumber via virus-induced gene silencing resulted in chlorotic leaves,mainly by suppressing the chlorophyll ***,a comparative transcriptome analysis revealed that chloroplast-related genes and chlorophyll biosynthesis genes were significantly downregulated in yc412 *** results provide new insights into the molecular function of the YSL transporter in plant chloroplast development and chlorophyll synthesis.

Quaternary ammonium compounds(QACs)are commonly used in a variety of consumer and commercial products,typically as a component of *** the COVID-19 pandemic,QACs became one of the primary agents utilized to inactivate the SARS CoV-2 virus on ***,the ecotoxicological effects of QACs upon aquatic organisms have not been fully *** this study,we examined the effects of a widely used QAC(benzalkonium chloride-C_(14),BAC-14)on two toxigenic Microcystis strains and one non-toxigenic freshwater Microcystis strain and carried out an analysis focused on primary,adaptive and compensatory stress responses at apical(growth and photosynthesis)and metabolic *** analysis revealed that the two toxic Microcystis strains were more tolerant than the non-toxic strain,with 96 hr-EC_(50)values of 0.70,0.76,and 0.38 mg/L BAC-14 for toxigenic *** FACHB-905,toxigenic *** FACHB-469,and non-toxigenic *** FACHB-908,*** photosynthetic activities of the Microcystis,assessed via F_(v)/F_(m) values,were significantly suppressed under 0.4 mg/L ***,this analysis revealed that BAC-14 altered 14,12,and 8 metabolic pathways in *** FACHB-905,*** FACHB-469,and *** FACHB-908,*** is noteworthy that BAC-14 enhanced the level of extracellular microcystin production in the toxigenic Microcystis strains,although cell growth was not significantly ***,these data show that BAC-14 disrupted the physiological and metabolic status of Microcystis cells and stimulated the production and release of microcystin,which could result in damage to aquatic systems.

The evolution of the microstructure and toughness of APL5L X80 pipeline steel after thermal welding simulation was investigated by X-ray diffraction,electron backscatter diffraction,and transmission electron *** results indicated that primary heat-affected zones can be divided into weld,coarse-grained,fine-grained,intercritical,and sub-critical *** microstructure of the weld zone is mainly composed of bainitic ferrite and a small amount of granular bainite;however,the original austenite grains are distributed in the columnar *** structure of the coarse-grained zone is similar to that of the weld zone,but the original austenite grains are *** contrast,the microstructure in the fine-grained zone is dominated by fine granular bainite,and the effective grain size is only 8.15μm,thus providing the highest toughness in the entire heat-affected *** intercritical and subcritical zones were brittle valley regions,and the microstructure was dominated by granular ***,the martensite-austenite(M/A)constituents are present in island chains along the grain boundaries,and the coarse size of the M/A constituents seriously reduces the *** results of the crack propagation analyzes revealed that high-angle grain boundaries can significantly slow down crack growth and change the crack direction,thereby increasing the material *** impact toughness of the low-temperature tempering zone was equivalent to that of the columnar grain zone,and the impact toughness was between those of the critical and fine-grained zones.

Elastomers with high mechanical toughness can guarantee their durability during service ***-healing ability,as well as recyclability,can also extend the life of materials and save the consuming cost of the *** efforts have been dedicated to promoting the mechanical toughness as well as the self-healing capability of elastomers at the same time,while it remains a challenge to balance the trade-off between the above properties in one *** we proposed a molecular design driven by dual interactions of acylsemicarbazide hydrogen bonding and Cu^(2+)-neocuproine coordination *** introducing the reversible multiple hydrogen bonds and strong coordination bonds,we successfully fabricated an extremely tough and self-healing *** elastomer can achieve an impressive top-notch toughness of 491 MJ/m^(3).Furthermore,it boasted rapid elastic restorability within 10 min and outstanding crack tolerance with high fracture energy(152.6kJ/m^(2)).Benefiting from the combination of dynamic interactions,the material was able to self-repair under 80℃conveniently and could be reprocessed to restore the exceptional mechanical properties.

Data augmentation is an important task of using existing data to expand data *** generative countermeasure network technology to realize data augmentation has the advantages of high-quality generated samples,simple training,and fewer restrictions on the number of generated ***,in the field of transmission line insulator images,the freely synthesized samples are prone to produce fuzzy backgrounds and disordered samples of the main insulator *** solve the above problems,this paper uses the cycle generative adversarial network(Cycle-GAN)used for domain conversion in the generation countermeasure network as the initial framework and uses the self-attention mechanism and channel attention mechanism to assist the conversion to realize the mutual conversion of different insulator *** attention module with prior knowledge is used to build the generation countermeasure network,and the generative adversarial network(GAN)model with local controllable generation is built to realize the directional generation of insulator belt defect *** experimental results show that the samples obtained by this method are improved in a number of quality indicators,and the quality effect of the samples obtained is excellent,which has a reference value for the data expansion of insulator images.

Global trends in diabetic eye disease research from 2012 to 2021

Diabetic eye disease refers to a group of eye complications that occur in diabetic patients and include diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema, diabetic cataracts, and diabetic glaucoma. However, the global epidemiology of these conditions has not been well characterized. In this study, we collected information on diabetic eye disease-related research grants from seven representative countries––the United States, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, and France––by searching for all global diabetic eye disease journal articles in the Web of Science and Pub Med databases, all global registered clinical trials in the Clinical Trials database, and new drugs approved by the United States, China, Japan, and EU agencies from 2012 to 2021. During this time period, diabetic retinopathy accounted for the vast majority(89.53%) of the 2288 government research grants that were funded to investigate diabetic eye disease, followed by diabetic macular edema(9.27%). The United States granted the most research funding for diabetic eye disease out of the seven countries assessed. The research objectives of grants focusing on diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema differed by country. Additionally, the United States was dominant in terms of research output, publishing 17.53% of global papers about diabetic eye disease and receiving 22.58% of total citations. The United States and the United Kingdom led international collaborations in research into diabetic eye disease. Of the 415 clinical trials that we identified, diabetic macular edema was the major disease that was targeted for drug development(58.19%). Approximately half of the trials(49.13%) pertained to angiogenesis. However, few drugs were approved for ophthalmic(40 out of 1830;2.19%) and diabetic eye disease(3 out of 1830;0.02%) applications. Indole-derived radical cations, open-shell reactive species, display distinctive dual reactivity due to the carbon-centered radical and more electrophilic carbocation, which frequently appear in a variety of single electron oxidation reactions for synthesizing structurally diverse functionalized indoles and indolines. Electrocatalysis is considered as a synthetically attractive and environmentally friendly alternative for driving the single electron oxidation of indoles. Remarkable achievements in electrocatalytic indolederived radical cation-mediated indole functionalization have been realized so far. This review comprehensively summarizes the recent progresses in the applications of electrocatalytic indole radical cations,including C(sp~2)–H functionalization, dearomative 2,3-difunctionalization, and ring-opening reaction, emphasizing the vital single electron oxidation steps of indoles, the substrates scope and limitations, and the reaction mechanisms.

The deflection of the vertical(DOV)is the key information in the study of ocean gravity ***,in most areas,the precision of the prime component of DoV is significantly lower than that of the meridian *** obtain higher accuracy and resolution of ocean gravity information,researchers have proposed a novel altimeter called the wide-swath *** altimeter allows for the simultaneous acquisition of high-precision and high-resolution two-dimensional measurements of sea surface height(SSH).In this paper,the Surface Water and Ocean Topography(SWOT)mission with a wide-swath altimeter on board is selected for *** cycle of swoT sea surface height data is simulated to inverse the DOV in the Arabian Sea(45°E—80°E,0°-30°N),and the inversion results are compared with those of conventional altimeter *** results demonstrate that the difference between the meridian and prime components derived from the inversion of swoT wide-swath data is minimal,significantly outperforming the inversion results of conventional nadir altimeter *** advantage of swoT wide-swath altimeter lies in its ability to use the multi-directional geoid slope at any sea surface measurement point to invert the components in the meridian and prime *** investigate the impact of this advantage on inversion precision,this paper employs a method to calculate the gradient of the geoid in multiple directions to invert DoV *** improvement effect of calculating the gradient of the geoid in multiple directions on the precision of DoV component is *** is found that the accuracy of DoV inversion has significantly improved with the increase of geodetic gradient calculation *** addition,the effects of various errors and grid spacing in SwoT wide sea surface height data on the precision of Dov inversion are also analyzed.
