Let D = (V, E) be a primitive digraph. The exponent of D, denoted byγ(D), is the least integer k such that for any u, v∈ V there is a directed walk of length k from u to v. The local exponent of D at a vertex u∈ V, denoted by exp_D (u), is the least integer k such that there is a directed walk of length k from u to v for each v ε V. Let V = {1,2,….,n}. Following [1], the vertices of V are ordered so that exp_D (1) ≤exp_D (2) ≤…≤exp_D(n) =λ(D). Let E_n(i):= {exp_D (i) ∈D PD_n}, where PD_n is the set of all primitive digraphs of order n. It is known that E_n(n) = {γ(D) D∈PD_n} has been completely settled by [7]. In 1998, E_n(1) was characterized by [5]. In this paper, the authors describe E_n(2) for all n≥2.

As a hydrocarbon-rich sedimentary basin in china,the Ordos Basin has enormous potential for shale gas *** shale of the Upper Carboniferous Benxi Formation is rich in organic matter,however,its palaeoenvironment and organic matter enrichment mode are yet to be *** this study,the geochemical characteristics of the shale of the Benxi Formation in the east-central part of the Ordos Basin were analyzed to investigate its *** the same time,the organic matter enrichment modes in different sedimentary facies were compared and *** results indicate that:1)the shale of the Benxi Formation was mainly deposited on the continental margin and strong terrestrial clastic input;2)the deposition period of the Benxi Formation shale had a hot and humid climate with high palaeoproductivity and local volcanic hydrothermal fluid,and a high sedimentation rate with the strong stagnant *** bottom water was in dysoxic conditions and a semi-saline deposition environment;3)multiple factors,such as palaeoproductivity,volcanic hydrothermal,redox conditions,and palaeosalinity interact to influence the enrichment of shale organic matter in Benxi Formation;4)the organic matter enrichment modes of continental,marine-continental transitional,and marine shales can be classified into three types:“production mode”,“hybrid mode of preservation and production”,and“preservation mode”,*** study provides a reference for the organic matter enrichment mode,shale gas formation conditions,and core area evaluation in these marine-continental transitional shales,and also offers new guidance for exploration ideas for shale gas in different sedimentary facies.

Restricted edge connectivity of a graph G is defined to be the minimum size |U| of a set U of edges such that G-U is disconnected and G-U contains no trivial component K1. The high order edge connectivity Ni, i1, is the number of edge outsets of size i. TO determine all Ni, i 1, for a general graph is NP-hard. In this paper, the authors evaluated the restricted edge connectivity and the high order edge connectivity Ni, 1 i -1, for any connected Abelian Cayley graphs explicitly.

A monotone compact implicit finite difference scheme with fourth-order accuracy in space and second-order in time is proposed for solving nonlinear reaction-diffusion equations. An accelerated monotone iterative method for the resulting discrete problem is presented. The sequence of iteration converges monotonically to the unique solution of the discrete problem, and the convergence rate is either quadratic or nearly quadratic, depending on the property of the nonlinear reaction. The numerical results illustrate the high accuracy of the proposed scheme and the rapid convergence rate *** iteration.

Three-dimensional Bose Einstein condensate vortex solitons under optical lattice and harmonic confinements

We predict three-dimensional vortex solitons in a Bose-Einstein condensate under a complex potential,which is the combination of a two-dimensional parabolic trap along the transverse radial direction and a one-dimensional optical-lattice potential along the z axis *** vortex solitons are built in the form of a layer-chain structure made of several fundamental vortices along the optical-lattice *** has not been reported before in the three-dimensional Bose-Einstein *** using a combination of the energy density functional method with direct numerical simulation,we find three-dimensional vortex solitons with topological charges χ=1,χ=2,and χ=***,the macroscopic quantum tunneling and chirp phenomena of the vortex solitons are shown in the ***,the occurrence of macroscopic quantum tunneling provides the possibility for the experimental realization of quantum ***,we successfully manipulate the vortex solitons along the optical lattice *** stability limits for dragging the vortex solitons from an initial fixed position to a prescribed location are further pursued.
