Despite sufficient studies performed in non-primate animal models,there exists scanty information obtained from pilot trials in non-human primate animal models,severely hindering nanomaterials moving from basic research into clinical *** herein present a pioneering demonstration of nanomaterials based optical imaging-guided surgical operation by using macaques as a typical kind of non-human primate-animal ***,taking advantages of strong and stable fluorescence of the small-sized(diameter:~5 nm)silicon-based nanoparticles(SiNPs),lymphatic drainage patterns can be vividly visualized in a real-time manner,and lymph nodes(LN)are able to be sensitively detected and precisely excised from small animal models(e.g.,rats and rabbits)to non-human primate animal models(e.g.,cynomolgus macaque(Macaca fascicularis)and rhesus macaque(Macaca mulatta)).Compared to clinically used invisible near-infrared(NIR)lymphatic tracers(i.e.,indocyanine green(ICG);etc.),we fully indicate that the SiNPs feature unique advantages for naked-eye visible fluorescence-guided surgical operation in long-term *** toxicological analysis in macaque models further provides confirming evidence of favorable biocompatibility of the SiNPs *** expect that our findings would facilitate the translation of nanomaterials from the laboratory to the clinic,especially in the field of cancer treatment.

Starting from elemental powders, complete MoSi2.powder forms abruptly between 3.5and 4 h during mechanical alloying (MA) of the Mo-66 at.% Si powders. Continuous milling of this MoSi2.Phase leads to a nanocrystalline powder and amorphizationtransformation takes place after 100 h milling. Howeven MA of the Mo-37.5 at.%Si powders does not result in the formation of the Mo5Si3 crystalline phase, but the formation of a Mo(Si) supersaturated solid solution (SSS) and a completely amorphots phase after 5 h and 70 h milling, respectively. The free energy of the Mo-Sisystem has been calculated and it has been found that there is no driving force for the amorphization reaction under normal conditions. The amorphization by MA of the Mo-Si system is attributed to a solid-state amorphization reaction in which defects and a very fine grain size induced during milling process may raise the free energy of the crystalline intermetallic phase (for MoSi2. or the Mo(Si) supersaturated solid solution (for Mo5Si3) above that of the amorphous phase.

Nitrous oxide(N_(2.O)is a long-lived greenhouse gas that mainly originates from agricultural *** and more studies have explored the sources,influencing factors and effective mitigation measures of N_(2.O in recent ***,the hierarchy of factors influencing N_(2.O emissions from agricultural soils at the global scale remains *** this study,we carry out correlation and structural equation modeling analysis on a global N_(2.O emission dataset to explore the hierarchy of influencing factors affecting N_(2.O emissions from the nitrogen(N)and non-N fertilized upland farming systems,in terms of climatic factors,soil properties,and agricultural *** results show that the average N_(2.O emission intensity in the N fertilized soils(17.83 g N ha^(-1)d^(-1))was significantly greater than that in the non-N fertilized soils(5.34 g N ha^(−1) d^(−1))(plimate factors and agricultural practices are the most important influencing factors on N_(2.O emission in non-N and N fertilized upland soils,*** different climatic zones,without fertilizer,the primary influence factors on soil N_(2.O emissions are soil physical properties in subtropical monsoon zone,whereas climatic factors are key in the temperate *** fertilizer,the primary influence factors for subtropical monsoon and temperate continental zones are soil physical properties,while agricultural measures are the main factors in the temperate monsoon *** enhanced agricultural practices,such as reduced N fertilizer rate combined with the addition of nitrification and urease inhibitors can potentially mitigate N_(2.O emissions by more than 60%in upland farming systems.

CDKs play key roles in controlling cell cycle progression in all eukaryotes. In plants, multiple CDKs are present, among which the best characterized CDKs are PSTAIRE CDKs. In this study, we carried out Western blot, immunoelectron microscopy and antibody treatment with an anti-PSTAIRE monoclonal antibody to explore the subcellular localization and functions of PSTAIRE CDKs in Physarum polycephalum. The results of Western blot and immunoelectron microscopy showed that in P. polycephalum, a PSTAIRE CDK-like protein was 34 kD in molecular weight and located in both nuclei and cytoplasm. In nuclei, the protein was mainly associated with chromosomes and nucleoli. The expression of the PSTAIRE CDK-like protein in both the plasmodia and nuclei showed little fluctuation through the whole cell cycle. When treated with an anti-PSTAIRE monoclonal antibody at early S phase, the cells were arrested in S phase, and the mitotic onset of P. polycephalum was blocked for about 1 h when treated at early G2.phase. Flexible solid-state cooling devices with high efficiency are attracted to ferroelectric polymers with excellent negative electrocaloric(EC)*** is challenging to obtain a large negative EC effect in ferroelectric polymers due to the lack of tunable techniques.A giant negative EC response was obtained in the poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene)copolymers(P(VDF-TrFE),70/30,in mole ratio)irra-diated with high-energy *** irradiated P(VDF-TrFE)films showed an adiabatic temperature change of-13.5 K at 40 MV/m under a dose of 5 Mrad(1 Mrad=10^(4) J/kg)obtained by the indirect *** significant negative EC effect is attributed to the enhancement of crystalline due to the entry of polymer molecules into the amorphous to crystalline structure and the reduction of heat ca-pacity due to the increase of *** addition,X-ray irradiation improves the dielectric coefficient from 15 to *** research indicates that irradiation can modify the negative EC properties of ferro-electric polymers for solid-state cooling.

The high-dense nanocrystalline BaTiO3(BT)ceramics with grain size smaller than 100nm have been successfully prepared by the two step sintering and the spark plasma sintering(SPS)*** successive transitions in nanograin BT ceramics from rhombohedral to orthorhombic,tetragonal and cubic transitions,similar to those in coarse BT ceramics,were revealed by in-situ temperature dependent Raman *** multiphase coexistence and the diffused phase transition character were demonstrated in the 8nm nanocrystalline BT ceramics.

We directly introduce a Bell-type inequality for four-qubit systems. Using the inequality we investigate quantum nonlocality of a generic family of states ｜Gabcd〉[Phys. Rev. A 65 052.12.2.02.] and several canonical four-qubit entangled states. It has been demonstrated that the inequality is maximally violated by the so called ＂four-qubit the maximally entangled state ｜Gm〉＂ and it is also violated by four-qubit W state and a special family of states ｜Gab00〉. Moreover, a useful entanglement-nonlocality relationship for the family of states ｜Gab00〉is derived. Finally, we present a scheme of preparation of the state ｜Gm〉with linear optics and cross-Kerr nonlinearities.

A tin film of 32. nm in thickness on Cu foil and its composite film with graphite of-50 nm in thickness on it were fabricated by magnetron sputtering. The surface morphology, composition, surface distributions of alloy elements, and lithium intercalation/de-intercalation behaviors of the fabricated films were characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, electron probe microanalyzer （EPMA）, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry （ICP）, cyclic voltammetry （CV）, and galvanostatic charge/discharge （GC） measurements. It is found that the lithium intercalation/de-intercalation behavior of the Sn film can be significantly improved by its composite with graphite. With cycling, the discharge capacity of the Sn film without composite changes from 570 mAh/g of the 2.d cycle to 2.0 mAh/g of the 2.th cycle, and its efficiency for the discharge and charge is between 90% and 95%. Nevertheless, the discharge capacity of the composite Sn/C film changes from 575 mAh/g of the 2.d cycle to 515 mAh/g of the 2.th cycle, and its efficiency for the discharge and charge is between 95% and 100%. The performance improvement of tin by its composite with graphite is ascribed to the retardation of the bulk tin cracking from volume change during lithium intercalation and de-intercalation, which leads to the pulverization of tin.
