An efficient data-driven global sensitivity analysis method of shale gas production through convolutional neural network

The shale gas development process is complex in terms of its flow mechanisms and the accuracy of the production forecasting is influenced by geological parameters and engineering parameters. Therefore, to quantitatively evaluate the relative importance of model parameters on the production forecasting performance, sensitivity analysis of parameters is required. The parameters are ranked according to the sensitivity coefficients for the subsequent optimization scheme design. A data-driven global sensitivity analysis(GSA) method using convolutional neural networks(CNN) is proposed to identify the influencing parameters in shale gas production. The CNN is trained on a large dataset, validated against numerical simulations, and utilized as a surrogate model for efficient sensitivity analysis. Our approach integrates CNN with the Sobol' global sensitivity analysis method, presenting three key scenarios for sensitivity analysis: analysis of the production stage as a whole, analysis by fixed time intervals, and analysis by declining rate. The findings underscore the predominant influence of reservoir thickness and well length on shale gas production. Furthermore, the temporal sensitivity analysis reveals the dynamic shifts in parameter importance across the distinct production stages.

This work uses cloud-resolving simulations to study mock-Walker cells driven by a specified sea surface temperature(SST).The associated precipitation in the mock-Walker cells exhibits three different modes,including a single peak of precipitation over the SST maximum(mode 1),symmetric double peaks of precipitation straddling the SST maximum(mode 2),and a single peak of precipitation on one side of the SST maximum(mode 3).The three modes are caused by three distinct convective activity center migration *** indicate that the virtual effect of water vapor plays an important role in differentiating the three *** the SST gradient is large,the virtual effect may be strong enough to overcome the temperature effect,generating a low-level low-pressure anomaly below the ascending branch of the Walker cell off the *** results here highlight the importance of the virtual effect of water vapor and its interaction with convection and large-scale circulation in the Walker circulation.

Objective: To determine whether monotropein has an anticancer effect and explore its potential mechanisms against colorectal cancer(CRC) through network pharmacology and molecular docking combined with experimental verification. Methods: Network pharmacology and molecular docking were used to predict potential targets of monotropein against CRC. Cell counting kit assay, plate monoclonal assay and microscopic observation were used to investigate the antiproliferative effects of monotropein on CRC cells HCT116, HT29 and LoVo. Flow cytometry and scratch assay were used to analyze apoptosis and cell cycle, as well as cell migration, respectively in HCT116, HT29, and LoVo cells. Western blotting was used to detect the expression of proteins related to apoptosis, cell cycle, and cell migration, and the expression of proteins key to the Akt pathway. Results: The Gene Ontology and Reactome enrichment analyses indicated that the anticancer potential of monotropein against CRC might be involved in multiple cancer-related signaling pathways. Among these pathways, RAC-beta serine/threonine-protein kinase(Akt1, Akt2), cyclin-dependent kinase 6(CDK6), matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP9), epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), cell division control protein 42 homolog(CDC42) were shown as the potential anticancer targets of monotropein against CRC. Molecular docking suggested that monotropein may interact with the 6 targets(Akt1, Akt2, CDK6, MMP9, EGFR, CDC42). Subsequently, cell activity of HCT116, HT29 and LoVo cell lines were significantly suppressed by monotropein(P<0.05). Furthermore, our research revealed that monotropein induced cell apoptosis by inhibiting Bcl-2 and increasing Bax, induced G_1–S cycle arrest in colorectal cancer by decreasing the expressions of CyclinD1, CDK4 and CDK6, inhibited cell migration by suppressing the expressions of CDC42 and MMP9(P<0.05), and might play an anticancer role through Akt signaling pathway. An improved RRT? algorithm, referred to as theAGP-RRT? algorithm, is proposed to address the problems of poor directionality, long generated paths, and slow convergence speed in multi-axis robotic arm path planning. First, an adaptive biased probabilistic sampling strategy is adopted to dynamically adjust the target deviation threshold and optimize the selection of random sampling points and the direction of generating new nodes in order to reduce the search space and improve the search efficiency. Second, a gravitationally adjustable step size strategy is used to guide the search process and dynamically adjust the step-size to accelerate the search speed of the algorithm. Finally, the planning path is processed by pruning, removing redundant points and path smoothing fitting using cubic B-spline curves to improve the flexibility of the robotic arm. Through the six-axis robotic armpath planning simulation experiments on the MATLAB platform, the results show that the AGP-RRT? algorithmreduces 87.34% in terms of the average running time and 40.39% in terms of the average path cost; Meanwhile, under two sets of complex environments A and B, the average running time of the AGP-RRT? algorithm is shortened by 94.56% vs. 95.37%, and the average path cost is reduced by 55.28% vs. 47.82%, which proves the effectiveness of theAGP-RRT? algorithm in improving the efficiency of multi-axis robotic arm path planning. © 2024 The Authors.
