HoBi single crystal and polycrystalline compounds with Na Cl-type structure are successfully obtained,and their magnetic and magnetocaloric properties are studied in *** temperature increasing,Ho Bi compound undergoes two magnetic transitions at 3.7 K and 6 K,*** transition temperature at 6 K is recognized as an antiferromagneticto-paramagnetic(AFM–PM)transition,which belongs to the first-order magnetic phase transition(FOMT).It is interesting that the Ho Bi compound with FOMT exhibits good thermal and magnetic ***,a large inverse and normal magnetocaloric effect(MCE)is found in Ho Bi single crystal in the H||[100]direction,and the positive?SMpeak reaches 13.1 J/kg·K under a low field change of 2 T and the negative?S_(M)peak arrives at-18 J/kg·K under a field change of5 *** excellent properties are expected to be applied to some magnetic refrigerators with special designs and functions.

Rab5 is a GTPase protein that is involved in intracellular membrane trafficking. It functions by binding to various effector proteins and regulating cellular responses, including the formation of transport vesicles and their fusion with the cellular membrane. Rab5 has been reported to play an important role in the development of the zebrafish embryo;however, its role in axonal regeneration in the central nervous system remains unclear. In this study, we established a zebrafish Mauthner cell model of axonal injury using single-cell electroporation and two-photon axotomy techniques. We found that overexpression of Rab5 in single Mauthner cells promoted marked axonal regeneration and increased the number of intra-axonal transport vesicles. In contrast, treatment of zebrafish larvae with the Rab kinase inhibitor CID-1067700markedly inhibited axonal regeneration in Mauthner cells. We also found that Rab5 activated phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K) during axonal repair of Mauthner cells and promoted the recovery of zebrafish locomotor function. Additionally, rapamycin, an inhibitor of the mechanistic target of rapamycin downstream of PI3K, markedly hindered axonal regeneration. These findings suggest that Rab5 promotes the axonal regeneration of injured zebrafish Mauthner cells by activating the PI3K signaling pathway.

Effect of Pd doping on the acetone-sensing properties of NdFeO

The acetone-sensing properties of the undoped and Pd doped perovskite-type oxides NdFeO3 were investigated from room temperature to 400°C. The perovskite-type NdFeO3 was synthesized by a sol-gel method, and the dopants Pd with the content from 1wt% to 5wt% were implanted into NdFeO3 nanoparticles by thermal diffusion. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques show that NdFeO3 is an orthorhombic structure with the average particle size of about 40 nm. A giant acetone-sensing response of 675.7 is observed when the Pd content in NdFeO3 powders is about 3wt%. The response and recovery time of the sensor to the 5×10-4 acetone gas are 16 and 1 s, respectively. At the same time, it performs a good selectivity to acetone gas and may be a new promising material candidate for the acetone-sensor development.

Supramolecular polymers,as a type of dynamic polymers,are subordinate to the interdisciplinary field of polymer chemistry and supramolecular chemistry,whose development has greatly promoted the prosperity of new ***,molecular weight is one of the most important parameters of supramolecular polymers,which affects the physical/chemical properties and processing applications of *** new methods for characterizing the molecular weight of supramolecular polymers is crucial for advancing the development of supramolecular *** this review,we elaborate and summarize three strategies for characterizing the molecular weight of supramolecular polymers that recently reported by our research group according to the characteristics of supramolecular polymers,including(1)the molecular weight distinction corresponding to variable fluorescence colors,(2)matching different molecular weights with different fluorescence lifetime,(3)transforming supramolecular polymers into mechanically interlocked polymers or covalent ***,we also discuss the limitations of current methods for characterizing supramolecular *** hope that this review can promote the development of supramolecular polymers and significantly inspire to exploit new methods to characterizing molecular weight of supramolecular polymers.

In the early design stage,automotive modeling should both meet the requirements of aesthetics and ***,a vehicle CAD(computer aided design)model that can be easily adjusted by feedbacks is *** on CE-Bezier surface,this paper presents a set of algorithms for parametric segmentation and fairing surface generation in a car *** model is defined by a simplified automotive template and relevant control points,shape parameters and segmentation parameters,which can be modified to alter the car form *** this model and the corresponding adjustment method,more than fifty various vehicle models are established in this research according to different *** two methods for calculating similarity index between car models are constructed,which are suitable for brand design trend analysis and modelling design decisionmaking.

A Fluorescent Supramolecular Crosslinked Polymer Gel Formed by Crown Ether Based Host-Guest Interactions and Aggregation Induced Emission

Based on the combination of B21C7/dialkylammonium salt host-guest interactions and tetraphenylethylene （TPE）-based aggregation-induced emission （AIE） effect, a fluorescent supramolecular crosslinked polymer gel was successfully prepared. Compared with the solution of TPE-containing small molecules, this gel exhibited remarkable fluorescence enhancement due to the AIE effect of TPE units. The ＂gelation induced fluorescence emission＂ phenomenon can be explained by the hindered intramolecular rotation of phenyl rings of TPE. Because of the reversibility and stimuli-responsiveness of the B21C7/dialkylammonium salt host-guest interactions, the transition between the fluorescent supramolecular crosslinked polymer gel and the disassembled sol with very weak fluorescence can be realized by adding pH and thermal stimuli. This novel material contributes to the development of supramolecular chemistry, polymer science and fluorescent materials and offers a new method to construct functional supramolecular materials.

Effects of Destruxin A on Hemocytes Morphology of Bombyx mori

Destruxin A （DA）, a kind of cyclo-hexadepsipeptide isolated from entomopathogenic fungus, Metarhizium anisopliae, is an inhibitor of insect＇s immunity. But its mechanism has not been clarified yet. In this study, the effects of DA on morphologic changes of in vivo and in vitro hemocytes of silkworm, Bombyx mori, were investigated by means of inverted phase contrast microscopy （IPCM）, fluorescence microscopy （FCM） and environmental scanning electron microscopy （ESEM）. The results indicated that DA was cytotoxic to granulohemocytes （GR） and plasmatocytes （PL）. The LC 50 values of DA against in vitro GR and PL of silkworm were 68.77 and 84.11 μg mL-1, respectively. However, the hemocytes in vivo were more susceptible to DA, although at the extremely low dose of 10 μL of 12.5 μg mL-1 for each insect （i.e., 0.036 μg g-1 body weight, or approximately 0.25 μg mL-1 hemolymph）, DA could induce obviously morphologic alterations of hemocytes in vivo. The results imply that there might be some factors in silkworm＇s hemolymph, which influence the interaction of DA and hemocytes.
