With an increase in global aging,the number of people affected by cerebrovascular diseases is also increasing,and the incidence of vascular dementia-closely related to cerebrovascular risk-is increasing at an epidemic ***,few therapeutic options exist that can markedly improve the cognitive impairment and prognosis of vascular dementia *** in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological disorders,synaptic dysfunction is recognized as the main reason for cognitive *** oxide is one of the ubiquitous gaseous cellular messengers involved in multiple physiological and pathological processes of the central nervous ***,nitric oxide has been implicated in regulating synaptic plasticity and plays an important role in the pathogenesis of vascular *** review introduces in detail the emerging role of nitric oxide in physiological and pathological states of vascular dementia and summarizes the diverse effects of nitric oxide on different aspects of synaptic dysfunction,neuroinflammation,oxidative stress,and blood-brain barrier dysfunction that underlie the progress of vascular ***,we propose that targeting the nitric oxide-sGC-cGMP pathway using certain specific approaches may provide a novel therapeutic strategy for vascular dementia.

Background:Insomnia is a prevalent clinical condition and Shangxia Liangji formula(SXLJF)is a well-established method of ***,the specific mechanism of action of SXLJF remains ***:The mouse model of insomnia was established by intraperitoneal injection of ***-two mice were randomly divided into a negative control group,model group,SXLJF group(18.72 g/kg/day),and positive control group(diazepam,2 mg/kg)and treated with the corresponding drugs for 7 consecutive *** open field test and pentobarbital-induced sleeping test were ***-MS-based untargeted metabolomics and network pharmacology were applied to explore the potential targets of SXLJF for treating ***,key targets were validated using ***:Behavioral tests demonstrated that SXLJF reduced the total distance,average velocity,central distance,and sleep latency,and prolonged sleep *** and network pharmacology revealed potential targets,signaling pathways,metabolic pathways,and metabolites associated with the anti-insomnia effects of ***,tyrosine hydroxylase(TH)and tyrosine metabolism emerged as crucial metabolic pathways and targets,***-qPCR results supported the role of TH in the mechanism of SXLJF in treating ***:In conclusion,TH and tyrosine metabolism may represent significant targets and pathways for SXLJF in treating insomnia.

BACKGROUND Floating thrombus within the thoracic aorta is a rare entity but may cause systemic *** pathogenesis of floating aortic thrombi is not yet fully *** definitive guidelines are available for the management of floating aortic *** SUMMARY We report a 48-year-old patient,without a history of trauma and infection,who presented with sudden severe back pain.A floating thrombus within the aortic arch was found by computed tomography angiography(CTA).No evidence of coagulopathies was ***,with the assistance of a three dimensionalprinted model,this floating thrombus was identified to be caused by occult aortic dissection(AD).Subsequently,an emergency thoracic endovascular repair was *** patient’s back pain was rapidly alleviated *** at 1 year showed no filling defect in the stent-graft and *** Occult AD is a potential factor causing floating aortic thrombi,endovascular stent-graft exclusion may be an optimal therapeutic choice with promising ***,the combination of CTA and three dimensional-printed models can contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of floating aortic thrombi due to occult AD.

The effect of stress-relief annealing at different stages of thermal fatigue tests on crack growth was investigated using a self-built thermal cycle *** results showed that annealing could limit crack expansion *** reduced dislocation density and released the accumulation of residual *** addition,the strain accumulation in carbides was reduced by this *** was also found that double annealing was even more effective at inhibiting crack expansion compared to single stress-relief *** 1000 cycles,the maximum crack length was reduced by 31.1%and 45.2%for the samples after using the optimal single and double annealing processes,*** single stress-relief annealing,earlier annealing provides more benefit in delaying crack ***,effective double stress-relief annealing requires a suitable time interval between the annealing ***,after 800 cycles,surface hardness decreased significantly accompanied by an increase in the size and number of carbides,and cracks expanded predominantly along grain boundaries.

The exact boundary condition on a spherical artificial boundary is derived for the three-dimensional exterior problem of linear elasticity in this paper. After this boundary condition is imposed on the artificial boundary, a reduced problem only defined in a bounded domain is obtained. A series of approximate problems with increasing accuracy can be derived if one truncates the series term in the variational formulation, which is equivalent to the reduced problem. An error estimate is presented to show how the error depends on the finite element discretization and the accuracy of the approximate problem. In the end, a numerical example is given to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method.

A method with several steps superior to literature has been developed for the preparation of B-methyl p-iodophenyl pentadecanoic acid(BMIPP). The synthesis and physical properties of BMIPP are described. It is characterized by IR, 1HNMR, elemental analysis and MS. 125I-BMIPP can be prepared by three methods: direct labeling, solid-state transfer labeling and Cu(I ) assisted labeling. Cu(I) assisted labeling is simple and not necessary to purify before clinical use. It can fulfil the requirements for kit labeling.

Nickel-carbonate nanowire array： An efficient and durable electrocatalyst for water oxidation under nearly neutral conditions

It is highly attractive but still remains a great challenge to develop an efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction under nearly neutral conditions. In this work, we report the transformation of Ni3S2 nanowire array on nickel foam into the amorphous nickel carbonate nanowire array on nickel foam （NiCO3/NF）. The resulting NiCO3/NF shows high electrocatalytic activity towards water oxidation and affords current density of 50 mA. cm-2 at overpotential of 395 mV in 1.0 mol·L^-1 KHCO3. Moreover, this NiCO3/NF is also durable with a long-term electrochemical durability of 60 h. This catalyst electrode achieves a high turnover frequency of 0.21 mol O2·s^-1 at the overpotential of 500 mV.
