Defect recognition of oil-pressboard insulation based on frequent arc reignition phenomenon under switching impulse voltage

In the past three years,a number of oil-immersed ultra-high-voltage shunt reactors have experienced discharge defects when being put into operation,resulting in an overload of ***,detecting and identifying these discharge defects caused by switching impulse voltage is challenging under steady-state *** poses unpredictable and difficult-to-assess safety risks for the longterm operation of the equipment and subsequent transient ***,comprehending the discharge behavior of oilpressboard(PB)insulation under switching impulse voltage and devising a method to identify defects becomes *** study focuses on investigating the frequent arc reignition(FAR)pattern exhibited by typical defects under both standard and oscillation switching impulse *** objective is to uncover the mechanism behind FAR and propose a defect recognition strategy suitable for transient *** study reveals the FAR process will occur at least once during the breakdown process;the FAR phenomenon is the weakest in the surface defect with a weak vertical electric *** average recovery voltage percentage and the average discharge interval of the FAR process decrease with increasing impulse amplitude or oscillation ***,the average number of discharges decreases with higher oscillation frequency,while it initially increases and then decreases with increaseing *** on the analysis of the number of FAR processes and their variation in terms of amplitude or discharge interval,a method for recognizing oil-PB defects during switching transient processes is developed and successfully applied to a case study involving acetylene overload in a 1000 kV shunt reactor.

Nano-enabled silicone-rubber articles for feeding or chewing could be a source of metallic nanoparticles(NPs)directly exposed to infants and young ***,the impact of steam disinfection on release of NPs and the related potential risks to children's health are ***,we investigated contents and form of Ag and Zn in 57 nano-enabled silicone-rubber baby bottle teats,pacifiers,and teethers of seven countries and examined the impacts of steam disinfection on in vitro bioaccessibility(IVBA)of Ag and Zn in the *** 89%articles had a mixture of Ag-and Zn-containing NPs and the teethers had relatively high Ag and Zn contents(up to 501 and 254μg/g,respectively).Steam disinfection caused rubber decomposition into micro(nano)plastics(0.54-15.7μm)and NP release from the interior of bulk rubber and micro-sized plastics,thus enhancing the IVBA of Ag and Zn by up to 5.5 *** findings provide insights into mechanisms for NP release by steam *** oral exposure risk assessment suggested low health concerns on individual metal release,our study points out the need to assess the potential health risks of child co-exposure to metallic NPs and micro(nano)plastics.

Mosquito-borne viruses(MBVs)are a large class of viruses transmitted mainly through mosquito bites,including dengue virus,Zika virus,Japanese encephalitis virus,West Nile virus,and chikungunya virus,which pose a major threat to the health of people around the *** global warming and extended human activities,the incidence of many MBVs has increased *** saliva contains a variety of bioactive protein *** not only enable blood feeding but also play a crucial role in regulating local infection at the bite site and the remote dissemination of MBVs as well as in remodeling the innate and adaptive immune responses of host ***,we review the physiological functions of mosquito salivary proteins(MSPs)in detail,the influence and the underlying mechanism of MSPs on the transmission of MBVs,and the current progress and issues that urgently need to be addressed in the research and development of MSP-based MBV transmission blocking vaccines.

Unknown system dynamics estimator-based impedance control for lower limb exoskeleton with enhanced performance

In this article, an unknown system dynamics estimator-based impedance control method is proposed for the lower limb exoskeleton to stimulate the tracking flexibility with the terminal target position when suffering parametric inaccuracies and unexpected disturbances. To reinforce the robust performance, via constructing the filtering operation-based dynamic relation, i.e., invariant manifold, the unknown system dynamics estimators are employed to maintain the accurate perturbation identification in both the hip and knee subsystem. Besides, a funnel control technique is designed to govern the convergence process within a minor overshoot and a higher steady-state precision. Meanwhile, an interactive complaint result can be obtained with the aid of the impedance control, where the prescribed terminal trajectory can be adjusted into the interaction variable-based target position by the force–position mapping, revealing the dynamic influence between the impedance coefficient (stiffness and damping) and the adjusted position magnitude. A sufficient stability analysis verifies the ultimately uniformly bounded results of all the error signals, and even the angle errors can be regulated within the predefined funnel boundary in the whole convergence. Finally, some simulations are provided to demonstrate the validity and superiority including the enhanced interaction flexibility and robustness.

Numerical Study on the Effect of Gap Diffraction on the Hydrodynamic Performance of A Floating Breakwater

Two-dimensional(2D)flume experiments are useful in investigating the performances of floating breakwaters(FBs),including hydrodynamic performances,motion responses,and mooring *** a reasonable gap between the flume wall and the FBs is a critical step in 2D flume ***,research on the effect of the gap on the accuracy of 2D FB experimental results is *** address this issue,a numerical wave tank is developed using CFD to estimate the wave-FB interaction of a moored dual-cylindrical FB,and the results are compared to experimental data from a previously published *** is good agreement between them,indicating that the numerical model is sufficiently *** numerical model is then applied to explore the effect of gap diffraction on the performance of FBs in2D *** was discovered that the nondimensional gap length L_(Gap)/W_(Pool)should be smaller than 7.5%to ensure that the relative error of the transmission coefficient is smaller than 3%.The influence of the gap is also related to the entering wave properties,such as the wave height and period.

A reweighted damped singular spectrum analysis method for robust seismic noise suppression

(Multichannel)Singular spectrum analysis is considered as one of the most effective methods for seismic incoherent noise *** utilizes the low-rank feature of seismic signal and regards the noise suppression as a low-rank reconstruction ***,in some cases the seismic geophones receive some erratic disturbances and the amplitudes are dramatically larger than other *** presence of this kind of noise,called erratic noise,makes singular spectrum analysis(SSA)reconstruction unstable and has undesirable effects on the final *** robustify the low-rank reconstruction of seismic data by a reweighted damped SSA(RD-SSA)*** incorporates the damped SSA,an improved version of SSA,into a reweighted *** damping operator is used to weaken the artificial disturbance introduced by the low-rank projection of both erratic and random *** central idea of the RD-SSA method is to iteratively approximate the observed data with the quadratic norm for the first iteration and the Tukeys bisquare norm for the rest *** RD-SSA method can suppress seismic incoherent noise and keep the reconstruction process robust to the erratic *** feasibility of RD-SSA is validated via both synthetic and field data examples.

Multi-scenario land use prediction and layout optimization in Nanjing Metropolitan Area based on the PLUS model

The metropolitan area is a crucial spatial element in promoting new urbanization in *** possesses theoretical and empirical value in the determination of the evolutionary patterns and development trends necessary for regional integration and high-quality *** study focused on Nanjing Metropolitan Area,the first national metropolitan area in China,and established three development scenarios by combining ecological–economic spatial conflict(EESC)zones and national key ecological functional *** scenarios simulate the spatial distribution of future land use and land cover change(LUCC)using the development zone planning function of the patch generation land use simulation(PLUS)*** results show that:(1)Between 2000 and 2020,the most prominent characteristics of land use change were largely the massive expansion of built-up land and the significant decline of farmland,while changes in the area of ecological land were less evident.(2)EESC areas experienced significant changes over the past 20 years,but the overall level of conflict was *** land was the main land use type in the lowest-conflict area,while built-up land was the main land use type in the highest-conflict area.(3)From 2030 to 2050,further expansion of built-up areas is expected,with continued decrease of *** regulation of these land use changes can be achieved through different development zone *** economic development scenario had the largest built-up land area,while the ecological protection scenario had the largest farmland *** study simulates the spatial pattern changes in the metropolitan area based on spatial conflict patterns and national main functional area planning process,providing a scientific reference for future spatial planning and management.

Evaluation of the effects of EPS composite soil replacement on the dynamic performance of caisson structure using shaking table tests

The seismic performance of a caisson structure under two types of models with a saturated sandy foundation(CSS)and an expanded polystyrene(EPS)composite soil foundation(CES)are studied using shaking table *** macro phenomena of the two different foundation models are described and *** effects of the replacement of EPS composite soil on seismic-induced liquefaction of backfill and the dynamic performance of a caisson structure are evaluated in *** results show that the excess pore water pressure generation in the CES is significantly slower than that in the CSS during the *** dynamic earth pressure acting on the caisson has a triangular *** response of horizontal acceleration,displacement,settlement,and rotation angle of the caisson in the CES is smaller than that in the CSS,which means the caisson in the CES has a better seismic ***,the out-of-phase phenomenon between dynamic earth thrust and inertial force in the CES is more obvious than that in the CSS,which is beneficial to reduce the lateral force and improve the stability of the caisson structure.

Detecting abnormal data generated from cyberattacks has emerged as a crucial approach for identifying security threats within in-vehicle *** transmission of information through in-vehicle networks needs to follow specific data for-mats and communication protocols ***,statistical algorithms are employed to learn these variation rules and facilitate the identification of abnormal ***,the effectiveness of anomaly detection outcomes often falls short when confronted with highly deceptive in-vehicle network *** this study,seven representative classification algorithms are selected to detect common in-vehicle network attacks,and a comparative analysis is employed to identify the most suitable and favorable detection *** consideration of the communication protocol characteristics of in-vehicle networks,an optimal convolutional neural network(CNN)detection algorithm is proposed that uses data field characteristics and classifier selection,and its comprehensive performance is *** addition,the concept of Hamming distance between two adjacent packets within the in-vehicle network is introduced,enabling the proposal of an enhanced CNN algorithm that achieves robust detection of challenging-to-identify abnormal *** paper also presents the proposed CNN classifica-tion algorithm that effectively addresses the issue of high false negative rate(FNR)in abnormal data detection based on the timestamp feature of data *** experimental results validate the efficacy of the proposed abnormal data detection algorithm,highlighting its strong detection performance and its potential to provide an effective solution for safeguarding the security of in-vehicle network information.
