The growing development of the Internet of Things(IoT)is accelerating the emergence and growth of new IoT services and applications,which will result in massive amounts of data being generated,transmitted and pro-cessed in wireless communication *** Edge Computing(MEC)is a desired paradigm to timely process the data from IoT for value *** MEC,a number of computing-capable devices are deployed at the network edge near data sources to support edge computing,such that the long network transmission delay in cloud computing paradigm could be *** an edge device might not always have sufficient resources to process the massive amount of data,computation offloading is significantly important considering the coop-eration among edge ***,the dynamic traffic characteristics and heterogeneous computing capa-bilities of edge devices challenge the *** addition,different scheduling schemes might provide different computation delays to the offloaded ***,offloading in mobile nodes and scheduling in the MEC server are coupled to determine service *** paper seeks to guarantee low delay for computation intensive applica-tions by jointly optimizing the offloading and scheduling in such an MEC *** propose a Delay-Greedy Computation Offloading(DGCO)algorithm to make offloading decisions for new tasks in distributed computing-enabled mobile devices.A Reinforcement Learning-based Parallel Scheduling(RLPS)algorithm is further designed to schedule offloaded tasks in the multi-core MEC *** an offloading delay broadcast mechanism,the DGCO and RLPS cooperate to achieve the goal of delay-guarantee-ratio ***,the simulation results show that our proposal can bound the end-to-end delay of various *** under slightly heavy task load,the delay-guarantee-ratio given by DGCO-RLPS can still approximate 95%,while that given by benchmarked algorithms is reduced to intolerable *** simulation resul

Investigating effect of coke porosity on blast furnace performance based on multi-physical fields

Reducing coke use is an effective measure to reduce carbon emission and energy consumption in the blast furnace(BF)***,BF is a high-temperature moving bed reactor,where complex physical transformations coupled with complicated reactions *** makes it challenging to investigate the factors determining BF performance with the conventional method.A multi-physical field coupling mathematical model of BF was thus developed to describe its mass and heat transfer as well as its intrinsic ***,the proposed model was validated with the production *** coupling conditions,influences of dominating reactions on BF performance(temperature distribution,gas distribution,iron formation reaction,and direct reduction degree)were *** results indicated that coke combustion,indirect reduction,and direct reduction of iron ore mainly took place nearby the shaft tuyere,cohesive zone,and dripping zone,***,the rate of coke solution loss reaction was increased with the rising coke porosity in the cohesive *** the effect of coke porosity on the efficiency and stability of BF,the coke porosity of 0.42 was regarded as a reasonable value.

Drug-Target Interactions Prediction Based on Signed Heterogeneous Graph Neural Networks

Drug-target interactions(DTIs) prediction plays an important role in the process of drug *** computational methods treat it as a binary prediction problem, determining whether there are connections between drugs and targets while ignoring relational types information. Considering the positive or negative effects of DTIs will facilitate the study on comprehensive mechanisms of multiple drugs on a common target, in this work, we model DTIs on signed heterogeneous networks, through categorizing interaction patterns of DTIs and additionally extracting interactions within drug pairs and target protein pairs. We propose signed heterogeneous graph neural networks(SHGNNs), further put forward an end-to-end framework for signed DTIs prediction, called SHGNN-DTI,which not only adapts to signed bipartite networks, but also could naturally incorporate auxiliary information from drug-drug interactions(DDIs) and protein-protein interactions(PPIs). For the framework, we solve the message passing and aggregation problem on signed DTI networks, and consider different training modes on the whole networks consisting of DTIs, DDIs and PPIs. Experiments are conducted on two datasets extracted from Drug Bank and related databases, under different settings of initial inputs, embedding dimensions and training modes. The prediction results show excellent performance in terms of metric indicators, and the feasibility is further verified by the case study with two drugs on breast cancer.

High-capacity Li-rich cathode materials can significantly improve the energy density of lithium-ion batteries, which is the key limitation to miniaturization of electronic devices and further improvement of electrical-vehicle mileage. However, severe voltage decay hinders the further commercialization of these materials. Insights into the relationship between the inherent structural stability and external appearance of the voltage decay in high-energy Li-rich cathode materials are critical to solve this problem. Here, we demonstrate that structural evolution can be significantly inhibited by the intentional introduction of certain adventive cations （such as Ni2~） or by premeditated reservation of some of the original Li~ ions in the Li slab in the delithiated state. The voltage decay of Li-rich cathode materials over 100 cycles decreased from 500 to 90 or 40 mV upon introducing Ni2~ or retaining some Li~ ions in the Li slab, respectively. The cations in the Li slab can serve as stabilizers to reduce the repulsion between the two neighboring oxygen layers, leading to improved thermodynamic stability. Meanwhile, the cations also suppress transition metal ion migration into the Li slab, thereby inhibiting structural evolution and mitigating voltage decay. These findings provide insights into the origin of voltage decay in Li-rich cathode materials and set new guidelines for designing these materials for high-energy-density Li-ion batteries.

为探讨个性化营养干预及健康管理对痛风患者高尿酸血症及体质的影响,选取2022年1月~12月门诊就诊且具有强烈非药物治疗意愿的82例男性痛风患者,随机均分为对照组和实验组。对照组接受生活方式干预,实验组接受个性化营养干预,干预时间为3个月。研究表明,研究区痛风发病率更高、更年轻化。干预后,对照组身体质量指数、腰围及血清尿酸均有所下降,其他指标无明显变化;实验组身体质量指数、腰围、血清尿酸及血脂等均出现明显下降,大部分患者血清尿酸降至正常范围。因此,个性化营养干预能有效改善痛风患者的营养健康状况,降低其血清尿酸水平,有助于提升预后效果。

拉胀蜂窝因其轻质、抗冲击和吸能强等特点,引起了学者们的广泛关注。采用有限元法探讨一类弧形蜂窝结构(arc-star-shaped honeycomb,ASSH)的整体面内冲击动力学行为,比较冲击速度对ASSH和传统星型蜂窝结构(SSH)的变形模式、动态响应和能量吸收能力的影响。结果表明,同等情况下,ASSH比SSH具有更好的抗冲击性能。此外,还研究了胞元壁厚和弧角等参数对ASSH吸能的影响,相关结果有望为负泊松比材料和结构的设计提供一定的参考。

An investigation into hearing loss among patients of 50 years or older

Objects To investigate the extent of hearing loss in an elderly sample population to estimate hearing disorders among the age-equivalent population in China and to study primary clinical characteristics of presbycusis. Methods Clinical data from 110 hearing loss patients of both senium and pre-senium ages （95 males and 15 females, mean age = 74.4±12.1 years） were reviewed. Patients aged from 50 to 59 years were accepted as the pre-seni- um control group （n=15）. The 95 senium patients （〉 60 years of age） were divided into 4 groups according to age： 60＋ group（60 to 69 years, n=25）, 70＋ group （70 to79 years, n=26）, 80＋ group （80 to 89 years, n=32） and 90＋ group （90 years or older, n=12）. Pure tone audiometry thresholds were measured in all 110 patients. Hearing loss severity of each tested ear was rated according to the Goodman classification criteria. Besides, audiometric configuration was examined in each ear. Results Audiometric testing showed normal hearing in 65 ears （29.5%）, slight to moderately severe hearing loss in 131 ears （59.5%）, and severe and profound loss in 24 ears （11%）. Air-bone gaps were found in 12 ears （5.45%） indicating conductive hearing loss. Except the 12 ears with conductive hearing loss, audiograms showed gradually sloping loss in 99 ears （45%）, sharply sloping loss in 34 ears （15.45%）, fiat loss in 45 ears （20.45%）, notch pattern loss in 5 ears（2.27%）, trough and rising pattern loss in 2 ears（0.91%）, total deafness in 2 ears （0.91%）, and normal hearing in 21 ears（9.55%）. On average, hearing thresholds increased at a rate of approximately 10 dB per 10 year for subjects aged 60 and older. Conclusions Hearing thresholds tend to be stable in presbycusis patients aged from 50 to 70 years, increase significantly between 70 and 80 years of age, and reach another stable stage at high levels after 80 years of age, especially in high frequencies. Hearing loss in middle frequencies accounts for most of recession in loudness perception.

目的探讨阻塞性睡眠呼吸暂停综合征(obtructive sleep apnea,OSAHS)对肥胖病人肺功能的影响。方法选取2018年9月至2022年4月徐州医科大学附属医院睡眠中心就诊的160例肥胖病人,行多导睡眠监测(polysomnography,PSG)、肺功能检查及血液相关化验,依据呼吸暂停低通气指数(apnea hypopnea index,AHI)分为四组:单纯肥胖组(33例)、肥胖合并轻度OSAHS组(31例)、肥胖合并中度OSAHS组(32例)、肥胖合并重度OSAHS组(64例),分析年龄、身体质量指数(BMI)、Epworth嗜睡量表(epworthsleepiness scale,ESS)、AHI、平均血氧饱和度(MSaO_(2))、最低血氧饱和度(LSaO_(2))、最长呼吸暂停时间(LAT)、各项肺功能指标。结果与单纯肥胖组相比,肥胖合并重度OSAHS组肺总量(TLC)[(82.27±13.89)L比(91.30±8.94)L]、重度组肺活量、用力肺活量(FVC)、补呼气容积(ERV)显著减低(P<0.05)。校正BMI、年龄后,AHI与肺活量、FVC、TLC、功能残气量(FRC)呈负相关(P<0.05),AHI与一秒率(FEV_(1)/FVC)、每升肺泡容积的一氧化碳弥散量(Kco)呈正相关(P<0.05);MSaO_(2)与肺活量、FVC、TLC及第1秒用力呼气容积(FEV_(1))呈正相关(P<0.05);LSaO_(2)与肺活量、FVC、ERV、FEV_(1)、TLC、FRC呈正相关(P<0.05),LSaO_(2)与Kco呈负相关(P<0.05)。多因素逐步回归分析结果显示AHI对FVC具有显著影响(P<0.05),LSaO_(2)、MSaO_(2)对肺活量、TLC具有显著影响(P<0.05),LSaO_(2)、BMI对FEV_(1)具有显著影响(P<0.05),AHI、BMI对Kco具有显著影响(P<0.05)。结论对于患有OSAHS的肥胖病人,尤其是严重OSAHS病人,其多项肺功能指标明显下降;AHI是肥胖病人肺功能指标FVC的独立危险因子,LSaO_(2)是肥胖病人肺活量、TLC、FEV_(1)损害的独立危险因子。AHI和LSaO_(2)可能成为肥胖合并OSAHS病人肺功能损害的预测因子,肺功能检查可以作为肥胖病人OSAHS严重程度的辅助评估手段。

Evaluation of Effectiveness of Integrated Intervention Program in Improving Drug Addicts' Psychological Health

Objective To investigate the social mental state of drug addicts in a compulsive drug abuse treatment center; evaluate the effectiveness of integrated program for the prevention of abuse relapse and improvement of drug addicts＇ psychological health. Methods The study subjects were addicts from the Wuhan Compulsive Drug Abuse Treatment Center between October 2003 and June 2004, who satisfied the inclusion criteria. A non-randomized control-intervention study design was adopted. Volunteers willing to take part in intervention were put into the intervention group with their full awareness and willingness to prevent drug abuse relapse. The control group was composed of the addicts who were willing to prevent relapse and to be followed up after their discharge. Results The effectiveness of the integrated intervention program in promoting addicts＇ psychological health： before the intervention, the scores of Self-Rating Anxiety Scale （SAS）, the positive and negative dimensionalities of Simple Coping Style Questionnaire （SCSQ） and Chinese Perceived Stress Scales （CPSS） had no significant differences between the intervention group and the control group. After the intervention, except that the SCSQ＇s positive dimensionality in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group, other indices in the intervention group were lower. Before and after the intervention, the psychological health level in both the groups was lower than that in the normal population; there were significant differences between addicts and normal subjects in regards with all of the indices above. Conclusion Drug abuse was associated closely with addicts＇ social mental factors. The integrated intervention program can alleviate anxiety and stress, reduce co-morbid mental disorders and effectively improve their coping style. In conclusion, the program can promote addicts＇ psychological health significantly.

Assessment of Iron Bioavailability in Ten Kinds of Chinese Wheat Flours Using an in vitro Digestion/Caco-2 cell Model

Abstract Objective To compare iron bioavailability （Fe BV） from ten selected kinds of Chinese wheat flours in order to provide scientific basis for further human trials and enable plant breeding programs to screen biofortified wheat cultivars. Methods An in vitro digestion/Caco-2 cell model was used to assess Fe BV of ten flour samples from six leading Chinese wheat cultivars and the stability of Fe BV in one cultivar was studied across three growing environments. Results Significant differences were observed in both Fe BV and Fe bioavailability per gram of food （Fe BVPG） among cultivars （P〈0.01） grown at the same location with the same flour extraction rate. Zhongyou 9507 and jingdong 8 had Fe BV 37%-54% and Fe BVP（3 103%-154% higher than the reference control. In the Anyang environment, Zhongyou 9507 had a higher wheat flour-Fe level and Fe BVPG. Differences in Fe BV were detected in cultivars with different flour extraction rates. Conclusion Zhongyou 9507 and jingdong 8 were identified as the most promising cultivars for further evaluation of efficacy by using human subjects. The growing environments had no effect on Fe BV, but did have a significant effect on Fe BVPG. Fe bioavailabilities in low-extraction （40%） flours were higher than those in high-extraction （78%） flours.
