Objective:To evaluate the effect and safety of foot baths with Tangbi Waixi Decoction(TW)in tr.ating p.tients with diabetic p.r.p.er.l neur.p.thy(Dp.).Methods:It is a multicenter.double-blinded r.ndomized contr.lled *** with Dp. wer. r.cr.ited between November.18,2016 and May 3.,2018 fr.m 8 hosp.tals in *** p.tients r.ceived basic tr.atments for.glycemic *** r.ceived foot baths with TW her.al gr.nules either.66.9 g(inter.ention gr.up.or.6.69 g(contr.l gr.up.for.3. min once a day for.2 weeks and followed by a 2-week r.st,as a ther.p.utic *** the Tor.nto Clinical Scor.ng System total scor.(TCSS-TS)6 p.ints,the p.tients r.ceived a total of 3.ther.p.utic cour.es(for.12 weeks)and wer. followed up.for.12 *** p.imar. outcome was change in TCSS-TS scor. at 12 and 24 *** outcomes included changes in bilater.l motor.ner.e conduction velocity(MNCV)and sensor. ner.e conduction velocity(SNCV)of the median and common p.r.neal *** was also ***:Totally 63. p.tients wer. enr.lled,and 3.7 and 3.5 wer. r.ndomized to the inter.ention and contr.l gr.up.,*** the 12-week inter.ention,p.tients in both gr.up. showed significant declines in TCSSTS scor.s,and significant incr.ases in MNCV and SNCV of the median and common p.r.neal ner.es comp.r.d with p.e-tr.atment(p.0.05).The r.duction of TCSS-TS scor. at 12 weeks and the incr.ase of SNCV of median ner.e at 24 weeks in the contr.l gr.up.wer. gr.ater.than those in the inter.ention gr.up.p.0.05).The number.of adver.e events did not differ.significantly between gr.up.(p.0.05),and no ser.ous adver.e event was r.lated with ***:Tr.atment of TW foot baths was safe and significantly benefitted p.tients with Dp..A low dose of TW ap.ear.d to be mor. effective than a high dose.(r.gistr. *** CTr.IOr.160093.1)
