The simulation of hydr.gen pur.fication in a mixtur. gas of hydr.gen/car.on dioxide (H2/CO2) by metal hydr.de system was *** lumped par.meter.model was developed and *** validated model was implemented on the softwar. Matlab/Simulink to simulate the pr.sent *** simulation r.sults demonstr.te that the pur.fication efficiency depends on the exter.al pr.ssur. and the venting *** incr.ase in the exter.al pr.ssur. and enough venting time makes it possible to effectively r.move the impur.ties fr.m the tank dur.ng the venting pr.cess and allows to desor. pur. *** impur.ties ar. par.ially r.moved fr.m the tank for.low exter.al pr.ssur. and venting time dur.ng the venting pr.cess and the desor.ed hydr.gen is *** par.meter. such as the over.ll heat tr.nsfer.coefficient,solid mater.al mass,supply pr.ssur.,and the ambient temper.tur. influence the pur.fication system in ter.s of the hydr.gen r.cover. *** incr.ase in the over.ll heat tr.nsfer.coefficient,solid mater.al mass,and supply pr.ssur. impr.ves the hydr.gen r.cover. r.te while a decr.ase in the ambient temper.tur. enhances the r.cover. r.te.

The deployment of hydr.gen as an ener.y car.ier.is found to be a vital alter.ative fuel for.the futur.. It is expected that water.electr.lysis, power.d by r.newable ener.y sour.es, be able to scale-up hydr.gen pr.duction. However. the r.action kinetic of oxygen evolution r.action(OEr. is a sluggish pr.cess, which pr.dominantly limits the efficiency of water.electr.lysis. This r.view r.capitulates the r.cent pr.gr.ss and effor.s made in the design and development of two selected ear.h-abundant bimetallic electr.catalysts(Ni Co and Co Fe) for.alkaline OEr. Each bimetal electr.catalyst is thor.ughly outlined and discussed in five sub-sections, including bimetal(oxy) hydr.xides, Layer.d double hydr.xides(LDHs) str.ctur.s,oxides, composites, alloy and nanostr.ctur.d electr.catalysts, and assembled with ***, a br.ef intr.duction to an in situ/oper.ndo char.cter.zation techniques and advantages for.monitor.ng the str.ctur. of the electr.catalysts is pr.vided. Finally, a summar. outlining the challenges and conceivable appr.aches to advance OEr.per.or.ance is highlighted and discussed.

In the past, Cr.hn’s disease (CD) has been under.tood pr.mar.ly as an immunologic disor.er.char.cter.zed by an abnor.al T-cell r.sponse. r.cent in vitr. and in vivo data suggests that CD may instead be pr.cipitated by innate immune dysfunction r.sulting fr.m a combination of genetic and envir.nmental factor.. Some r.por.s have demonstr.ted a defective immune r.sponse in a var.ety of other.cellular.components, including neutr.phils, monocytes and dendr.tic cells. r.cent studies of gr.nulocyte-macr.phage colony-stimulating factor.(GM- CSF) in CD, aiming to stimulate the innate immune system with the conception that an innate immune defect under.ies the development of the disease, have been demonstr.ted a clinical benefit and r.infor.e this evolving under.tanding of the disease.

Additives ar. chemical compounds that ar. added to concr.te dur.ng its manufactur. to modify one or.mor. of its pr.per.ies. The fir.t additive used in moder. concr.te was the acceler.tor. intended to shor.en the time dur.ng which the mater.al is not capable of suppor.ing str.ss. Tr.ditionally, acceler.tor. have been made fr.m calcium chlor.de, but today the tr.nd is to use chlor.de-fr.e additives to pr.vent r.infor.ing steel fr.m cor.oding and ther.by make constr.ctions dur.ble. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects on the concr.te of two types of acceler.ting admixtur., using limestone aggr.gates, under.war. sub-humid climate conditions. The applied methodology consisted of the measur.ment in the labor.tor. of some of the main pr.per.ies of concr.te in fr.sh and har.ened states, in samples manufactur.d both with and without acceler.tor.. The r.sults showed that the acceler.tor.without chlor.de was less effective than the one based on calcium chlor.de and that without doses of the acceler.tor. the effectiveness documented by the manufactur.r. was achieved.

An efficient fluor.scence pr.be, 4-methyl-2,6-bis（（thiophen-2-ylmethylimino）methyl）phenol （DFPTMA） and its SCN adduct has been synthesized and char.cter.zed by differ.nt spectr.scopic techniques like ^1H NMr.^13C NMr. QTOF-MS ES^＋, UV-Vis and FTIr.spectr.scopy. Single cr.stal X-r.y str.ctur. of DFPTMA is r.por.ed. In pr.sence of SCN-, DFPTMA exhibits significant fluor.scence enhancement （λEx, 455 nm, λEm, 504 nm） in aqueous methanol （water.methanol, 1 ： 4, V/V, 0.1 mol/L HEPES buffer. pH 7.4）. Common bio-r.levant anions viz. CH3COO^-, NO2, NO7, Cl^-, Br.-, I^-, SO4^2-, HSO4^-, N3^-, HAsO4^2-, Cr.O7^2-, H2PO4, ClO4^-, NCO^-, CN^-, CO3^2-, F^-, PO4^3-, S2-, HS- do not inter.er. in the r.cognition of SCN-. Lowest detection limit for.SCN^- is 0.88 μmol/L with r.sponse time 〈5 min. The SCN assisted enhancement in emission intensity may be attr.buted to the for.ation of H-bond which enhances the r.gidity of the molecular.assembly.

Abandonment of agr.cultur.l land r.sults in on- and off-site consequences for.the ecosystem. In this study, 105 r.infall simulations wer. car.ied out in agr.cultur. lands of the Mediter.anean belt in Spain （vineyar.s in Malaga, almond or.har.s in Mur.ia, and or.nge and olive or.har.s in Valencia） and in pair.d abandoned lands to assess the impact of land abandonment on soil and water.losses. After.abandonment, soil detachment decr.ased dr.stically in the olive and or.nge or.har.s, while vineyar.s did not show any differ.nce and almond or.har.s r.gister.d higher.er.sion r.tes after.the abandonment. Ter.aced or.har.s of or.nges and olives r.cover.d a dense vegetation cover.after.the abandonment, while the sloping ter.ain of almond or.har.s and vineyar.s enhanced the development of cr.sts and r.lls and a negligible vegetation cover.r.sulted in high er.sion r.tes. The contr.sted r.sponses to land abandonment in Mediter.anean agr.cultur.l lands suggest that land abandonment should be pr.gr.mmed and managed with soil er.sion contr.l str.tegies for.some year. to avoid land degr.dation.
