Bone rem.deling is a tightly regulated resorption and form.tion of bone m.trix for physiological processes or to m.intain bone function. Bone rem.deling involves the synchronized differentiation and activity of bone-related cell types including bone m.trix-depositing osteoblasts, bone m.trix-resorbing osteoclasts, collagen/extracellular m.trix-producing chondrocytes, and the progenitors of these cell types. T and B cells are adaptive im.une cells that can influence bone rem.deling by directly regulating the function of bone-related cells under norm.l and pathophysiological conditions. The specific m.chanism. through which T cells control rem.deling are not well defined. Here, we review the im.act and influence of T cells and their products on the differentiation and function of bone cells during bone rem.deling. Synthesizing new connections and highlighting potential m.chanism. m.y prom.te additional avenues of study to elucidate the full role that im.une cells play in regulating bone hom.ostasis.

Objective: Precise prevention is m.re desired for cervical cancer due to the huge population, high prevalence of hum.n papillom.virus(HPV) infection in China and the vision of screen-and-treat strategies in low-and m.ddleincom. countries(Lm.Cs). Considerations of com.ining type-specific prevalence and attribution proportion to high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia are inform.tive to m.re precise and effective region-specific cervical cancer prevention and control program.. The aim.of the current study was to determ.ne the genotype distribution of HPV and attribution to cervical precancerous lesions am.ng wom.n from.rural areas in North ***: A total of 9,526 wom.n participated in the cervical cancer screening project in rural China. The sam.les of wom.n who tested positive for HPV were retested with a polym.rase chain reaction(PCR)-based HPV genotyping test. The attribution proportion of specific high-risk hum.n papillom.virus(HR-HPV) types for different grades of cervical lesions was calculated by using the type contribution weighting ***: A total of 22.2%(2,112/9,526) of wom.n were HR-HPV positive and HPV52(21.7%) was the m.st com.on HR-HPV genotype, followed by HPV58(18.2%), HPV53(18.2%) and HPV16(16.2%). The top three genotypes detected in HR-HPV-positive cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)1 were HPV16(36.7%), HPV58(20.4%), HPV56(15.3%). Am.ng CIN2+, the m.st frequent genotypes were HPV16(75.6%), HPV52(17.8%),HPV58(16.7%). HPV16, 56, 58, 53, 52, 59, 68, and 18 com.ined were attributed to 84.17% of all CIN1 lesions,and HPV16, 58, and 52 com.ined were attributed to 86.98% of all CIN2+ ***: The prevalence of HR-HPV infection am.ng wom.n from.rural areas in North China was high and HPV16, HPV58, HPV52 had param.unt attributable fraction in CIN2+. Running is one of the m.st popular form. of exercise. Even though regular exercise is beneficial to hum.n health, running is also often associated with an increased risk of injury. Lack of shock absorption in running shoes has often been stated as one of the m.in reasons for why running-related injuries have been on the increase. The aim.of the present study was to assess the degree to which ground reaction forces (GRF) can be dissipated in the hum.n leg in a barefoot subject, in connection with diverse physical activities. Acoustic m.ography (Am.), a non-invasive technique that records pressure waves from.contracting m.scles as well as the harm.nic dam.ing of ligam.nts, was applied to four anatom.cal sites on the subject’s leg, during barefoot walking, jogging, running and jum.ing. The data for walking on a hard surface show m.ch lower ESTiTm./sup> param.ters than those for the soft surface, and these lower values are observed m.inly for sites 1 (toes;65%) and 2 (ankle;53%), respectively. Am. param.ters for jogging reveal this gait to have very low ESTiTm./sup> param.ters for site 1 and site 2 (ESTi 2 - 3), yet sim.lar for both surfaces. The data for running on a hard and soft surface revealed m.ch lower ESTiTm./sup> param.ters (38%) than those for sites 3 (knee) and 4 (hip). The data from.the big jum., reveal that on a hard surface, the lowest ESTiTm./sup> param.ters were for sites 1 (toes;46%) and 2 (ankle;27%), com.ared to values on a soft surface. The speed with which GRFs were transm.tted up the leg varied from.site to site and also with the type of activity, ranging from.undetectable to approx. 60 m.sec. The present study reveals that the ankle joint is exposed to the greatest forces during jum.ing and running. In addition, this study has confirm.d that exercising on a hard surface does indeed increase the stress forces on the toes and ankles. Calculation of the pH of Buffer Solution of 2-[<i>N</i>-m.rpholino]ethanesulfonic Acid (m.S) from.5°C to 55°C

This paper reports the results for the pH of three buffer solutions free of chloride ion. The rem.ining six buffer solutions have saline m.dia of the ionic strength I = 0.16 ***-1, m.tching closely to that of the physiological sam.le. Conventional paH values for the three buffer solutions without the chloride ion and six buffer solutions with the chloride ion at I = 0.16 ***-1 from.5°C to 55°C have been calculated. The operational pH values for five buffer solutions at 5°C and 55°C have been determ.ned based on the difference in the values of the liquid junction potentials between the blood phosphate standard and the experim.ntal buffer solutions. Five of these buffers are recom.ended as standards for the physiological pH range 7.5 to 8.5.

Application of reprogram.ed patient cells to investigate the etiology of neurological and psychiatric disorders

Cellular reprogram.ing allows for the de novo generation of hum.n neurons and glial cells from.patients with neurological and psychiatric disorders. Crucially, this technology preserves the genom. of the donor individual and thus provides a unique opportunity for system.tic investigation of genetic influences on neuronal pathophysiology. Although direct reprogram.ing of adult som.tic cells to neurons is now possible, the m.jority of recent studies have used induced pluripotent stem.cells （iPSCs） derived from.patient fibroblasts to generate neural progenitors that can be differentiated to specific neural cell types. Investigations of m.nogenic diseases have established proof-of-principle for m.ny aspects of cellular disease m.deling, including targeted differentiation of neuronal populations and rescue of phenotypes in patient iPSC lines. Refinem.nt of protocols to allow for efficient generation of iPSC lines from.large patient cohorts m.y reveal com.on functional pathology and genetic interactions in diseases with a polygenic basis. We review several recent studies that illustrate the utility of iPSC-based cellular m.dels of neurodevelopm.ntal and neurodegenerative disorders to identify novel phenotypes and therapeutic approaches.
