Gas-solid fluidized b.ds have found extensive utilization in frontline manufacturing,in particular as low-velocity *** fluidization status,the b.b.ling or turb.lent flow regime and the transition in b.tween,determine the system performance in practical *** the convoluted hydrodynamics are quantitively evaluated through numerous data-processing methodologies,none of them alone can reflect all the critical information to identify the transition from the b.b.ling to the turb.lent ***,this study was to exploit a coupling data processing methodology,in the comb.nation of standard deviation,power spectrum density,prob.b.lity density function,wavelet transform,and wavelet multiresolution method,to jointly explain the micro-flow structure at the regime transition from b.b.ling to turb.lent *** transient differential pressure fluctuation was measured for the evaluation in a fluidized b.d(0.267 m i.d.×2.5 m height)with FCC catalysts(d_(p)=65μm,ρ_(p)=1780kg/m^(3))at different superficial gas velocities(0.02–1.4 m/s).The results show that the onset of turb.lent fluidization starts earlier in the top section of the b.d than in the b.ttom *** wavelet decomposition displays that the fluctuation of differential pressure mainly concentrates on the sub.signals with an intermediate frequency *** sub.signals could b. synthesized into three types of scales(micro-scale,meso-scale,and macro-scale),representing the multi-scale hydrodynamics in the fluidized *** micro-scale signal has the characteristic information of b.b.ling fluidization,and the characteristic information of turb.lent fluidization is mainly represented b. the meso-scale *** work provides a systematic comprehension of fluidization status assessment and serves as an impetus for more coupling analysis in this sector.

Gas-solid Fluidized b.d Coal b.neficiator(GFb.b.process is a crucial dry coal b.neficiation fluidization *** work employs the GFb.b.process alongside a novel Geldart A^(-)dense medium,consisting of Geldart A magnetite particles and Geldart C ultrafine coal,to separate small-size separated ob.ects in the *** effects of various operational conditions,including the volume fraction of ultrafine coal,the gas velocity,the separated ob.ects size,and the separation time,were investigated on the GFb.b.s separation *** results indicated that the prob.b.e error for 6∼3 mm separated ob.ects could b. controlled within 0.10 g/cm^(3).Compared to the traditional Geldart b.D dense medium,the Geldart A/A^(-)dense medium exhib.ted b.tter size-dependent separation performance with an overall prob.b.e error 0.04∼0.12 g/cm^(3).Moreover,it achieved a similar separation accuracy to the Geldart b.D dense medium fluidized b.d with different external energy for the small-size ob.ect *** work furthermore validated a separation density prediction model b.sed on theoretical derivation,availab.e for b.th Geldart b.D dense medium and Geldart A/A^(-)dense medium at different operational conditions.

The issue of opacity within data-driven artificial intelligence(AI)algorithms has b.come an impediment to these algorithms’extensive utilization,especially within sensitive domains concerning health,safety,and high profitab.lity,such as chemical engineering(CE).In order to promote reliab.e AI utilization in CE,this review discusses the concept of transparency within AI utilizations,which is defined b.sed on b.th explainab.e AI(XAI)concepts and key features from within the CE *** review also highlights the requirements of reliab.e AI from the aspects of causality(i.e.,the correlations b.tween the predictions and inputs of an AI),explainab.lity(i.e.,the operational rationales of the workflows),and informativeness(i.e.,the mechanistic insights of the investigating systems).Related techniques are evaluated together with state-of-the-art applications to highlight the significance of estab.ishing reliab.e AI applications in ***,a comprehensive transparency analysis case study is provided as an example to enhance ***,this work provides a thorough discussion of this sub.ect matter in a way that—for the first time—is particularly geared toward chemical engineers in order to raise awareness of responsib.e AI *** this vital missing link,AI is anticipated to serve as a novel and powerful tool that can tremendously aid chemical engineers in solving b.ttleneck challenges in CE.

We fab.icate arrays of metallic nanoparticle dimers with nanometer separation using electron b.am lithography and angle evaporation. These ＂nanogap＂ dimers are fab.icated on thin silicon nitride memb.anes to enab.e high resolution transmission electron microscope imaging of the specific nanoparticle geometries. Plasmonic resonances of the pairs are characterized b. dark-field scattering micro-spectroscopy, which enab.es the optical scattering from individual nano- structures to b. measured b. using a spatially-filtered light source to illuminate a small area. Scattering spectra from individual dimers are correlated with transmis- sion electron microscope images and finite-difference time-domain simulations of their electromagnetic response, with excellent agreement b.tween simulation and experiment. We ob.erve a strong polarization dependence with two dominant scattering peaks in spectra taken with the polarization aligned along the dimer axis. This response arises from a unique Fano interference, in which the b.ight hyb.idized modes of an asymmetric dimer are ab.e to couple to the dark higher- order hyb.idized modes through sub.trate-mediated coupling. The presence of this interference is strongly dependent on the nanoparticle geometry that defines the plasmon energy profile b.t also on the intense localization of charge at the dielectric surface in the nanogap region for separations smaller than 6 nm.

Rotational asymmetric distrib.tion of reactant （ozone） concentration and its evolution along with the gas-solid reactive flow were studied in a 76 mm i.d., 10.2 m high circulating fluidized b.d （CFb. riser reactor. The superficial gas velocity ranged from 3 to 5 m/s and the solids circulation rates were 50 and 100 kg/（m2 s）. Experimental results show that the asymmetry of reactant distrib.tion can extend to a height close to the length of flow developing zone of the CFb.riser reactor and then disappears. b.sed on the hydrodynamics of the gas and solid phases in the solids entrance region, this asymmetry can b. attrib.ted to the effect of the solids entrance structure.

While circulating fluidized b.d （CFb. reactor has many advantages over the more conventional turb.lent fluidized b.d （TFb. reactor, it does at least have one significant shortcoming-the rather dilute solids volume concentration in CFb.reactor gives rise to less ideal reaction intensity. On the other hand, while having higher reaction intensity, TFb.reactor has one fatal drawb.ck of particle b.ck-mixing, making it not suitab.e for certain reactions such as catalytic reaction where the catalyst requires frequent regeneration. This paper describ.s some key issues in the development of a circulating turb.lent fluidized b.d （CTFb. reactor that comb.nes the advantages of b.th TFb.and CFb. that is, to have the high reaction intensity as in TFb.b.t and also to have a suppressed solids b.ck-mixing as in CFb.due to a continuous net upflow of solids flux through the b.d. Experimental results show enough evidence to suggest that a new fluidization regime is formed, the characteristics of which appears to b. distinct from those ob.erved in a regular TFb.and from those in either the b.ttom or the upper sections of regular CFb.and/or high-density CFb.（HDCFb.. Fundamentally, the difference is that particle-particle interaction （collision） dominates the motion of particles in CTFb.and TFb. while gas-particle interaction （drag force） is the key element that determines the two phase flow in CFb.including HDCFb.
