INTRODUCTIONObesity is usually a descriptive term for excess body fat. Assessment of the presence and extent of obesity is often subjective and influenced by cosmetic and cultural considerations. However, recent interest has focused on the increased mortality and morbidity associated with both the extent and pattern of obesity (1,2). Therefore, methods for accurate measurement of the amount and distribution of fat have become an important clinical *** cause of the increased mortality and morbidity associated with obesity is not yet known. Obesity is associated with an increased incidence of diabetes and hypertension, increased incidence of diabetes, hypertension, increased levels of very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) triglycerides, low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, and decreased levels of high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, all of which are risk factors for the development of vascular disease. since it has been known for many years that obesity is associated with insulin resistance, Reaven (3), and Runderman (4) have postulated that insulin resistance is the common pathway leading to those metabolic derangements (Referred to as "syndrome X").

水-油界面不平衡是实现油水乳液破乳的关键。传统膜通常是依赖较高的跨膜压力破坏界面平衡而实现破乳。本文提出了可自然、快速地破坏水-油界面平衡的“接触破乳”的概念,开发了一种对有机组分具有高通量的新型破乳分离膜。具体制备过程分为两步,首先通过真空辅助抽滤法在聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)基底上组装ZIF-8@rGO微球(ZGs)层,再采用聚二甲基硅氧烷(PDMs)交联溶液中进行固定化处理。由于ZGs表面为微纳米阶层结构,所制备的ZIF-8@rGO@PDMs/PTFE(ZGPP)膜表面展现出超疏水性特性,当表面活性剂稳定的油包水乳液接触到膜表面时,微纳结构的超疏水膜表面会引起水-油界面不平衡。ZGPP膜对油包水乳液具有良好的分离破乳性能,在0.15 bar(15 kPa)的低跨膜压力下,分离效率可以达到99.57%,通量可达到2254 L·m^(-2)·h^(-1),且对于表面活性剂稳定的纳米级甲苯-水乳剂(平均液滴尺寸为57 nm)的体系也可以实现破乳分离。“接触破乳”概念的提出有望为开发新一代油包水乳液分离的破乳膜提供新的思路。

The production and secretion of antibodies by human plasma cells(PCs)are two essential processes of humoral *** secretion process relies on a group of proteins known as soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptors(sNAREs),which are located in the plasma membrane(t-sNAREs)and in the antibody-carrying vesicle membrane(v-sNARE),and mediate the fusion of both *** have previously shown that sNAP23 and sTX4 are the t-sNAREs responsible for antibody ***,using human PCs and antibody-secreting cell lines,we studied and characterized the expression and subcellular distribution of vesicle associated membrane protein(VAMP)isoforms,demonstrating that all isoforms(with the exception of VAMP1)are expressed by the referenced ***,the functional role in antibody secretion of each expressed VAMP isoform was tested using *** results show that VAMP2 may be the v-sNARE involved in vesicular antibody *** further support this conclusion,we used tetanus toxin light chain to cleave VAMP2,conducted experiments to verify co-localization of VAMP2 in antibody-carrying vesicles,and demonstrated the coimmunoprecipitation of VAMP2 with sTX4 and sNAP23 and the in situ interaction of VAMP2 with *** together,these findings implicate VAMP2 as the main VAMP isoform functionally involved in antibody secretion.

AIM: To measure plasma D-dimer levels in cirrhotic patients with and without ascites, assessing the effect of ascites resolution in D-dimer concentration. METHODs: seventy consecutive cirrhotic patients (M = 44, F = 26, mean age 65 years, sD ± 13), observed from October 2005 to March 2006 were enrolled. Circulating D-dimer levels were measured using a latex-enhanced, immunoturbidimetric test. In patients with ascites (n = 42) the test was repeated after ascites resolution. REsULTs: Ascites was present in 42 patients (group A) and absent in 28 (group B). Group A patients had more advanced liver disease. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was diagnosed in 14 patients and was more frequent in group B. Above normal range D-dimers were found in 45/70 patients. High D-dimers were more frequent in group A than in group B (P = 0.001). High D-dimers were associated with presence of HCC (P = 0.048) only in group B. After ascites resolution, obtained in all patients, mean D-dimer values decreased in those 34 patients with high basal levels (P = 0.007), returning to normal in 17. CONCLUsION: In patients with liver cirrhosis, ascites and HCC are the main factors associated with increased fibrinolytic activity.

Yield Response to Deficit Irrigation and Partial Root-Zone Drying in Processing Tomato （Lycopersicon esculentum Mill,）

Due to the global expansion of irrigated areas and the limited availability of irrigation water, it is necessary to optimize water use in order to maximize crop yields under water deficit conditions. To evaluate the yield response of two processing tomato hybrids （Ercole and Genius） grown under different irrigation treatments, a field trial was conducted during the 2008 growing season in southern Italy. Three irrigation treatments were used： the restitution of 70% of maximum evapotranspiration （ETc） both under ＂Deficit Irrigation＂（70DI） and ＂Partial Root-zone Drying＂（70PRD） strategies; full irrigated （FI： 100% ETc）. The two water deficit irrigation treatments （DI and PRD） showed stomatal conductance values lower than FI treatment and saved a substantial amount of water maintaining reasonable marketable yield. Moreover, PRD strategy showed slightly higher ＂Water Use Efficiency＂（WUE） values than DI. Finally, ＂yield response factor＂（Ky） showed always values less than unity, indicating the possibility to adopt, within certain limited condition, both DI and PRD in field-grown processing tomato cultivated in southern Italy. In conclusion, in our experimental conditions, deficit irrigation practices seem to be acceptable relatively to processing tomato yield aspects and Ky could be promoted as a useful indicator for irrigation in water deficit conditions.

The paper is devoted to the elastostatic calibration of industrial robots, which is used for precise machining of large-dimensional parts made of composite materials. In this technological process, the interaction between the robot and the workpiece causes essential elastic deflections of the manipulator components that should be compensated by the robot controller using relevant elastostatic model of this mechanism. To estimate parameters of this model, an advanced calibration technique is applied that is based on the non-linear experiment design theory, which is adopted for this particular application. In contrast to previous works, it is proposed a concept of the user-defined test-pose, which is used to evaluate the calibration experiments quality. In the frame of this concept, the related optimization problem is defined and numerical routines are developed, which allow generating optimal set of manipulator configurations and corresponding forces/torques for a given number of the calibration experiments. some specific kinematic constraints are also taken into account, which insure feasibility of calibration experiments for the obtained configurations and allow avoiding collision between the robotic manipulator and the measurement equipment. The efficiency of the developed technique is illustrated by an application example that deals with elastostatic calibration of the serial manipulator used for robot-based machining.
