The development of maintenance hemodialysis(HD)for end stage kidney disease patients is a success story that continues to save many ***,intermittent renal replacement therapy is also a source of recurrent stress for *** thrice weekly short HD is an imperfect treatment that only partially corrects uremic abnormalities,increases cardiovascular risk,and exacerbates disease *** cycles of fluid loading associated with cardiac stretching(interdialytic phase)and then fluid unloading(intradialytic phase)likely contribute to cardiac and vascular *** unphysiologic treatment profile combined with cyclic disturbances including osmotic and electrolytic shifts may contribute to morbidity in dialysis patients and augment the health burdenof treatment. As such, HD patients are exposed to multiple stressors including cardiocirculatory,inflammatory, biologic, hypoxemic, and nutritional. This cascade of events can be termed thedialysis stress storm and sickness syndrome. mitigating cardiovascular risk and morbidityassociated with conventional intermittent HD appears to be a priority for improving patientexperience and reducing disease burden. In this in-depth review, we summarize the hidden effectsof intermittent HD therapy, and call for action to improve delivered HD and develop treatmentschedules that are better tolerated and associated with fewer adverse effects.

This paper explores the role of the secondary inorganic aerosol （SIA） species ammonium,NH4＋,nitrate,NO3-,and sulfate,SO24-,during haze and fog events using hourly mass concentrations of Pm2.5 measured at a suburban site in Hangzhou,China.A total of 546 samples were collected between 1 April and 8 may *** samples were analyzed and classified as clear,haze or fog depending on visibility and relative humidity （RH）.The contribution of SIA species to Pm2.5 mass increased to ～50％ during haze and *** mass contribution of nitrate to Pm2.5 increased from 11％ during clear to 20％ during haze *** mass exceeded sulfate mass during haze,while near equal concentrations were observed during fog *** role of RH on the correlation between concentrations of SIA and visibility was examined,with optimal correlation at 60％-70％ *** total acidity during clear,haze and fog periods was 42.38,48.38 and 45.51 nmol m-3,respectively,indicating that sulfate,nitrate and chloride were not neutralized by ammonium during any *** nitrate to sulfate molar ratio,as a function of the ammonium to sulfate molar ratio,indicated that nitrate formation during fog started at a higher ammonium to sulfate molar ratio compared to clear and haze *** haze and fog,the nitrate oxidation ratio increased by a factor of 1.6-1.7,while the sulfur oxidation ratio increased by a factor of 1.2-1.5,indicating that both gaseous NO2 and SO2 were involved in the reduced visibility.

研究了芳香族二醇单体与聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯(PBT)的固态缩聚反应及其反应动力学.采用的二醇单体是对苯二甲酸二羟乙酯(BHET).一定配比的PBT和BHET混合物在185°C下进行固态缩聚(SSP)反应,分别利用凝胶色谱(SEC)、核磁共振氢谱(1H-NmR)和核磁共振碳谱(13C-NmR)对缩聚产物的数均分子量、分子结构进行了表征.SEC表征的结果表明:反应起始阶段聚合物的数均分子量快速下降,这是由于酯交换导致PBT链的断裂,形成了低聚物;0.5 h后,所有自由的BHET单体都已参与了酯交换反应;此后,所得到的低聚物重新缩聚,导致数均分子量上升,最终得到高数均分子量共聚物.1H-NmR表征结果表明,随着固相反应的进行乙二醇基团在体系中趋于无规分布.13C-NmR表征结果表明:在反应起始阶段,体系自由度快速上升;反应4 h后,自由度开始趋于缓和,所得共聚物的化学结构趋于稳定.

Although neurophysiological and psychophysical proof of osseoperception is accumulating, histomorphometric evidence for the neural mechanisms of functional compensation following immediate and delayed implant loading is still lacking. For this randomized split-mouth study, six mongrel dogs randomly received one of four treatment protocols at 36 implant-recipient sites over 16 weeks （third maxillary incisor, third and fourth mandibular premolar）： immediate implant placement and immediate loading （liP＋ IL）; delayed implant placement and delayed loading （DIP＋DL）; delayed implant placement and immediate loading （DIP＋IL）; and natural extraction socket healing （control）. Histomorphometry was performed in the peri-implant bone and soft tissues within 300 pm around the implants. Immunocytochemistry and transmission electron microscopy were used to confirm the presence of neural structures and to reveal their ultrastructural characteristics, respectively. myelinated nerve fibres densely populated the peri-implant crestal gingival and apical regions, although they were also identified in the woven bone and in the osteons near the implant threads. Compared with the control group in the mandible, the group that received IIP＋IL showed a higher innervation （in ***^-2, 5.94±1.12 vs. 3.15±0.63, P〈0.001） and smaller fibre diameter （in pm, 1.37±0.05 vs. 1.64±0.13, P=0.016）, smaller axon diameter （in pm, 0.89±0.05 vs. 1.24±0,10, P=0.009） and g-ratio （0.64±0.04 vs. 0.76±0.05, P〈0.001） in the middle region around the implants. Compared with DIP＋IL in the mandible, IIP＋IL had a higher nerve density （in ***^-2, 13.23±2.54 vs. 9.64±1.86, P=0.027）, greater fibre diameter （in pm, 1.32±0.02 vs. 1.20±0.04, P=0.021）, greater axon diameter （in μm, 0.92±0.01 vs. 0.89±0.03, P=-0.035） and lower g-ratio （0.69±0.01 vs. 0.74±0.01, P=-0.033） in the apical region around the implants. Covering extensive parts of China, Karst landscapes are exceptional because rapid and intensive land use change has caused severe ecosystem degradation within only the last 50 years. The twentieth century intensification in food production through agriculture has led to a rapid deterioration of soil quality, evidenced in reduced crop production and rapid loss of soil. In many areas, a tipping point appears to have been passed as basement rock is exposed and 'rocky desertification' dominates. Through the establishment of the "Soil processes and ecological services in the karst critical zone of SW China"(SPECTRA)Critical Zone Observatory(CZO) we will endevaour to understand the fundmental processes involved in soil production and erosion, and investigate the integrated geophysical-geochemical-ecological responses of the CZ to perturbations. The CZ spans a gradient from undisturbed natural vegetation through human perturbed *** seek to understand the importance of heterogeneity insurface and below-ground morphology and flow pathways in determining the spatial distribution of key stocks(soil,C, vegetation, etc.) and their control on ecosystem service delivery. We will assess the extent to which the highly heterogeneous critical zone resources can be restored to enable sustainable delivery of ecosystem services. This paper presents the CZO design and initial assessment of soil and soil organic carbon stocks and evidence for their stability based on caesium-137(^(137) Cs) data.

Cone-beam computed tomography （CBCT） has been recently used to analyse trabecular bone structure around dental implants. To validate the use of CBCT for three-dimensional （3D） peri-implant trabecular bone morphometry by comparing it to two-dimensional （2D） histology, 36 alveolar bone samples （with implants n=27 vs. without implants n=9） from six mongrel dogs, were scanned ex vivo using a high-resolution （80 ~m） CBCT. After scanning, all samples were decalcified and then sectioned into thin histological sections （-6 jim） to obtain high contrast 2D images. By using CTAn imaging software, bone morphometric parameters including trabecular number （Tb.N）, thickness （***）, separation （***） and bone volume fraction （BV/TV） were examined on both CBCT and corresponding histological images. Higher *** and ***, lower BV/TV and Tb.N were found on CBCT images （P〈0.001）. Both measurements on the peri-implant trabecular bone structure showed moderate to high correlation （r=0.65-0.85）. The Bland-Altman plots showed strongest agreement for *** followed by ***, Tb.N and BV/TV, regardless of the presence of implants. The current findings support the assumption that peri-implant trabecular bone structures based on high-resolution CBCT measurements are representative for the underlying histological bone characteristics, indicating a potential clinical diagnostic use of CBCT-based peri-implant bone morphometric characterisation.
