Lower incidence and mortality rates from prostate cancer(PCa)have been shown in Asian men in general compared to *** is the first study detailing the clinicopathologic features of resected prostate cancer in Filipino men living in the Philippines(PH)_this study investigated the supposed“lower risk”Filipino and“higher risk”American PCa patients from the PH and the United States of America(USA),*** examined 348(176 from PH,172 from USA)radical prostatectomy *** clinicopathologic features of both groups(age at time of diagnosis,preoperative prostate-specific antigen[pre-op PSA]level,Gleason score[GS],Grade groups[GG],margin involvement,extra prostatic extension[EPE],seminal vesicle invasion[SVI],and regional lymph node[RLN]metastasis)were *** of seven prognosticators examined were more strongly associated with Filipinos than with *** were older at diagnosis(PH:64.32±6.56 years vs USA:58.98±8.08 years)and had higher pre-op PSA levels(PH:21.39±46.40 ng ml^(-1) vs USA:7.63±9.19 ng ml^(-1)).Filipino men had more advanced grade,GG 2 with minor pattern 5(PH:6.2%vs USA:2.9%)and GG 5(PH:14.8%vs USA:3.5%).Likewise,other adverse pathological features in margin positivity(PH:52.3%vs USA:23.8%),focal EPE(PH:14.2% vs USA:2.3%),and SVI(PH:17.1%vs USA:5.8%)were more commonly observed in *** study reveals the prognostic disadvantage of Filipinos versus Americans and highlights an important difference of Filipinos from other studied Asian ethnicities that have repeatedly been shown to have lower-risk *** study,the first on Filipino PCa patients with RP,suggests the need to modify Western-based risk stratification when employed in other countries like the PH.

Objective:Gender-specific integrated health services have long existed in the arena of women’s health care,but men’s health centers(MHCs)have only recently emerged as a novel practice ***,we seek to evaluate the prevalence and format of MHCs found in the leading academic medical centers in the United ***:the US News&World Report’s top 50 Ranked Hospitals for Urology was used as our *** were gathered on the presence of MHCs and types of providers and conditions *** equivalent search was performed for women’s health centers(WHCs).Results:Sixteen of 50(32%)promoted some type of MHC,compared to 49 of 50(98%)offering a *** of the top 15 ranked institutions(53%)had an MHC compared to eight of 35(23%)remaining *** of 16 MHCs incorporated providers from a variety of medical disciplines,including urologists,internists,endocrinologists,cardiologists,and psychologists,while another six of 16 MHCs were staffed solely by *** of 16 provided services for exclusively urologic issues,four of 16 offered additional services in treatment of other medical conditions,and four of 16 did not specify.

A na?ve solver is one approach that can be used to identify prospective solutions based on data on(or projected to be on) a Blackboard Architecture’s blackboard. the na?ve solver approach doesn t implement heuristics or other techniques to determine what solution paths to attempt first. Instead, it runs the blackboard forward(simulating what would occur if data were gradually added to the blackboard at a faster-than-real time rate). the approach doesn t guarantee that an optimal solution will be found and will need to be run repetitively to create multiple solutions for comparison. this paper assesses the effect of pre-pruning the blackboard’s facts and rules to remove those that are not relevant(e.g., facts that cannot be asserted, rules that cannot be triggered) or which produce irrelevant facts and pruning actions that produce irrelevant facts(and/or trigger other similarly useless actions). It describes the Blackboard implementation and its utility, explains the pruning process used and presents quantitative and qualitative assessment of the utility of pruning to a na?ve solver’s operations. this value is extrapolated to facilitate consideration of a more robust pruning process which also removes low-value facts, actions and rules in addition to those being removed due to their uselessness.

An individual’s morphology is shaped by the environmental pressures it experiences,and the resulting morphological response is the culmination of both genetic factors and environmental(non-genetic)conditions experienced early in its life(*** plasticity).the role that phenotypic plasticity plays in shaping phenotypes is important,but evidence for its influence is often *** exposed female neonate diamond-backed watersnakes(Nerodia rhombifer)from populations experiencing different prey-size regimes to different feeding treatments to test the influence of phenotypic plasticity in shaping trophic *** found that snakes in a large-prey treatment from a population frequently encountering large prey exhibited a higher growth rate in body size than individuals in a small-prey treatment from the same *** pattern was not observed in snakes from a population that regularly encounters small *** also found that regardless of treatment,snakes from the smallprey population were smaller at birth than snakes from the large-prey population and remained so throughout the *** results suggest that the ability to plastically respond to environmental pressures may be population*** results also indicate a genetic predisposition towards larger body sizes in a population where large prey items are more common.

this study uses data covering 3,914 farm households,collected from Henan province in China,to investigate the links between the price of agricultural mechanization services and farmers'exit from land *** results indicate that the increasing price of agricultural mechanization services leads tofarmers leaving land operation,especially when the high sunk costs and the long-term breakeven period of self-owned machinery are *** effect is intensified by the rapid rural-urban migration in *** analysis reveals that the surge in service prices reduced land renting-in and encouraged non-grain *** analysis suggests that the agricultural mechanization service market in China tends to work against the survival of smallholder ***,the price of agricultural mechanization services is conducive to eliminating less-productive farmers and cultivating new agricultural operators.

Four metallated conjugated oligothiophenes, S-1, S-2, S-3 and S-4, with platinum（II） aryleneethynylenes as the electron-rich building block were synthesized to investigate their physicochemical and photovoltaic properties. these small molecules possess fairly low-lying HOMO energy levels which match with the LUMO energy level of the electron acceptor PC70BM （[6,6]-phenyl-C71-butyric acid methyl ester）. Using the simple process of spin-coating solution fabrication technique, S-I：PC70BM （1：4, w/w） based organic solar cells exhibiting a high Voc of 0.913 V, with a PCE value of 0.88% were developed. In contrast, the OSC device based on S-2：PC70BM （3：7, w/w） displayed a higher PCE of 1.59% with a higher Jsc value of 5.89 mA cm^-2. the device based on S-4：PCtoBM （1：4, w/w） exhibited a PCE value of 1.56%, with a Voc of 0.917 V.

Organic polymer solar cells （OSCs） and organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells （PSCs） have achieved notable progress over the past several years. A central topic in these fields is exploring electronically efficient, stable and effective hole-transporting layer （HtL） materials. the goal is to enhance hole-collection ability, reduce charge recombination, increase built-in voltage, and hence improve the performance as well as the device stability. transition metal oxides （tMOs） semiconductors such as NiOx, CuOx, CrOx, MoOx, WO3, and V2O5, have been widely used as HtLs in OSCs. these tMOs are naturally adopted into PSC as HtLs and shows their importance. there are similarities, and also differences in applying tMOs in these two types of main solution processed solar cells. this concise review is on the recent developments of transition metal oxide HtL in OSCs and PSCs. the paper starts from the discussion of the cation valence and electronic structure of the transition metal oxide materials, followed by analyzing the structure-property relationships of these HtLs, which we attempt to give a systematic introduction about the influences of their cation valence, electronic structure, work ftmction and film property on device performance.
