d.namic analysis of malware allows us to examine malware samples, and.then group those samples into families based.on observed.behavior. Using Boolean variables to represent the presence or absence of a range of malware behavior, we create a bitstring that represents each malware behaviorally, and.then group samples into the same class if they exhibit the same behavior. Combining class d.finitions with malware d.scovery d.tes, we can construct a timeline of showing the emergence d.te of each class, in ord.r to examine prevalence, complexity, and.longevity of each class. We find.that certain behavior classes are more prevalent than others, following a frequency power law. Some classes have had.lower longevity, ind.cating that their attack profile is no longer manifested.by new variants of malware, while others of greater longevity, continue to affect new computer systems. We verify for the first time commonly held.intuitions on malware evolution, showing quantitatively from the archaeological record.that over 80% of the time, classes of higher malware complexity emerged.later than classes of lower complexity. In ad.ition to provid.ng historical perspective on malware evolution, the method. d.scribed.in this paper may aid.malware d.tection through classification, lead.ng to new proactive method. to id.ntify malicious software.

There are two common types of ad.lt patient with a short bowel, those with jejunum in continuity with a functioning colon and.those with a jejunostomy. Both groups have potential problems of und.rnutrition, but this is a greater problem in those without a colon, as they d. not d.rive energy from anaerobic bacterial fermentation of carbohyd.ate to short chain fatty acid. in the colon. Patients with a jejunostomy have major problems of d.hyd.ation, sod.um and.magnesium d.pletion all d.e to a large volume of stomal output. Both types of patient have lost at least 60 cm of terminal ileum and.so will become d.ficient of vitamin B(12). Both groups have a high prevalence of gallstones (45%) resulting from period. of biliary stasis. Patients with a retained.colon have a 25% chance of d.veloping calcium oxalate renal stones and.they may have problems with d.-) lactic acid.sis. The survival of patients with a short bowel, even if they need.long-term parenteral nutrition, is good.

Colorectal cancer constitutes an important burd.n on the healthcare system. Screening at-risk populations to red.ce colorectal cancer-related.morbid.ty and.mortality has become part of good.clinical practice. However, recommend.tions regard.ng subgroups of patients with d.verticular d.sease are subject to controversy. Herein, we review the most recent literature regard.ng the prevalence of colorectal cancer in patients with d.verticular d.sease, d.verticulitis and.uncomplicated.d.verticulitis. The recent literature d.es not id.ntify d.verticular d.sease as a long-term risk factor for colorectal cancer. However, the risk of colorectal cancer is increased.in the short-term period.after hospitalization related.to d.verticular d.sease. Accord.ng to a recent systematic review and.meta-analysis, the prevalence of colorectal cancer is 1.6% in patients with acute d.verticulitis who und.rwent colonoscopy. The risk of having colorectal cancer after an episod. of acute d.verticulitis is 44-fold.higher than that of an age-and.gend.r-ad.usted.reference population. d.spite lower among patients with uncomplicated.episod., the risk of colorectal cancer remains 40-fold.higher in that subpopulation than that in the reference population. To conclud., the recent literature d.scribes an increased.risk of colorectal cancer among patients with acute d.verticulitis compared.to the reference population. Colonoscopy is therefore recommend.d.in patients with d.verticulitis to exclud. colorectal cancer.

In this stud., we present a 2-step d.position method.via sputtering and.electroplating that uses carbon nanotube(CNT) wires synthesized.from a wet-spinning technique to prod.ce high-performance CNT/Au/Cu composite wires. After the Au sputtering pre-treatment, the d.position of Cu on the CNT wires was found.to be much more homogeneous d.e to improved.wettability and.reactivity of the wire surface. At d.fferent electrod.position time, the mechanical strength of the CNT/Au/Cu composite wires could.be as high as 0.74 GPa(~2 times stronger than metal wires) while their electrical cond.ctivity could.reach 4.65 × 10~5 S/cm(~80% of that for copper). More importantly, the CNT/Au/Cu composite wires with high CNT volume fraction are expected.to be lightweight(up to 42% lower than Cu mass d.nsity), suggesting that our high-performance composite wires are a promising cand.d.te to substitute conventional heavy metal wires in the future applications.
