AIM:Gel entrapment culture of primary hepatocytes has been demonstrated to retain the expression and function of metabolic *** objective of the current study was to evaluate the utilization of gel entrapped primary human and rat hepatocytes model to predict in vivo hepatic ***:Twenty model compounds ranging from low(cyclosporine A) to high(testosterone) metabolic liability were selected for evaluation of gel entrapped rat hepatocytes, and four among which(warfarin,clozapine,midazolam,and verapamil) for gel entrapped human hepatocytes. The reaction mixture was incubated for 1,2,4,6,8,12,22,and 26 hr with the density of 2×10 cells/ml culture medium at an initial concentration of 10μ*** temporal profile of the parent compound concentrations were quantitated using an HPLC/MS/MS *** clearance of the test compounds were calculated from the substrate disappearance rate in hepatocytes using the method by Naritomi Y *** the predicted human and rat hepatic clearance was scaled and calculated using the well-stirred ***-specific binding was not accounted for during the calculation. A correlation analysis was conducted between the predicted hepatic clearance and the reported values of in vivo hepatic clearance in human and ***:Metabolic stability of these test compounds spanned a wide range from 0. 06 ml/min/kg for rifampicin to 50.30 ml/min/kg for testosterone in rat *** compounds with intermediate to high metabolic rate,the predicted hepatic clearance were mostly within 2-fold of the observed values from the literature. The in vitro-in vivo correlation was less significant for compounds with low hepatic *** the slowly metabolized compounds,tolbutamide,warfarin,rifampicin and cyclosporine A,the predicted hepatic clearance differed from in vivo data for about 10- *** might be due to indistinctive substrate depletion during the incubation *** predicted human hepatic clearance was 0.06 ml/m

AIM:To evaluate and compare the clinical outcomes of prophylactic submucosal saline-epinephrine injection and saline injection alone for large colon polyps by conventional polypectomy. METHODS:A prospective study was conducted from July 2003 to July 2004 at 11 tertiary endoscopic centers. Large colon polyps (> 10 mm in diameter) wererandomized to undergo endoscopic polypectomy with submucosal saline-epinephrine injection (epinephrine group) or normal saline injection (saline group). Endoscopic polypectomy was performed by the conventional snare method,and early ( 2 cm) and neoplastic polyps were independently and significantly associated with the presence of PPB. CONCLUSION:The prophylactic submucosal injection of diluted epinephrine does not appear to provide an additional advantage over the saline injection alone for the prevention of PPB.

＜正＞The purpose of this paper is to study the feasible evaluation of Paecilomyces cicadae abroad *** the classical methods,some physiological and biochemical indexes were tested. combining with the reference information,we could get follow results:1,In virtue of its high content of cordycep polysaccharide,Paecilomyces cicadae has been successfully developed as modem traditional chinese pharmacy.2,It could be developed to biocontrol fungus because of its drought-resistance, UV-Resistant,high activities of chitinase,proteinase,and lysozyme,and heterokaryon or diploid strain with high pathogenicity.3,It could be developed as health-care foods and cosmetic products basing on its bioactive substances,such as hyaluronic acid,polysaturated fatty acids,SOD,POD,lysozyme, protein,amino acids,nucleoside,mannitol,ergosterol,***,Paecilomyces cicadae which came from different ecological conditions had physiological,biochemical,and genetic ***, we could screen and cultivate high functional strains according to our development purpose.

＜正＞Two sectors,sporing-type（JZD3-1）and hypha-type（JZD3-2）,were isolated from *** on Sabouraud *** colony characters and conidiation between two sector isolates and the original strain（JZD3）were compared on different *** contents of exopolysaccharide and protein, the activities of proteinase,SOD,POD and their pathogenicities to *** were *** results showed:The growth of the strain JZD3 was the fastest and the conidiation was largest on most media. As far as the contents of exopolysaccharide,SOD,POD and the pathogenicity to ***,JZD3 was also the best;however,the isolates JZD3-1 and JZD3-2 had the most proteinase and protein respectively.
