Recent advances in functionally graded additive manufacturing(FGAM)technology have enabled the seamless hybridization of multiple functionalities in a single *** robotics can become one of the largest beneficiaries of these advances,through the design of a facile four-dimensional(4D)FGAM process that can grant an intelligent stimuli-responsive mechanical functionality to the printed ***,we present a simple binder jetting approach for the 4D printing of functionally graded porous multi-materials(FGMM)by introducing rationally designed graded multiphase feeder *** graded cross-linking agents gradually form stable porous network structures within aqueous polymer particles,enabling programmable hygroscopic deformation without complex mechanical ***,a systematic bed design incorporating additional functional agents enables a multi-stimuli-responsive and untethered soft robot with stark stimulus *** biodegradability of the proposed 4D-printed soft robot further ensures the sustainability of our approach,with immediate degradation rates of 96.6%within 72 *** proposed 4D printing concept for FGMMs can create new opportunities for intelligent and sustainable additive manufacturing in soft robotics.

BAcKGROUND Double-chambered left ventricle(DcLV)is an extremely rare congenital disease in which the left ventricle(LV)is divided by abnormal muscle *** to its rarity,there is a lack of data on the disease,including its diagnosis,treatment,and ***,we report a case in which DcLV was diagnosed and followed *** SUMMARY A 45-year-old man presented to our hospital due to abnormal findings on an electrocardiogram recorded during a health *** had no specific cardiac symptoms,comorbidities or relevant past medical *** revealed that the LV was divided into two by muscle *** were no findings of ischemia on coronary angiography and coronary computed tomography angiography performed to exclude differential *** comprehensive analysis of the images,DcLV was *** it seemed to be asymptomatic DcLV,we decided the patient was to be observed without administering any ***,follow-up echocardiography revealed a thrombus in the accessory chamber(Ac).Anticoagulant medication was initiated,the thrombus resolved,and the patient is currently undergoing follow-up without any specific *** Asymptomatic,uncomplicated DcLV was diagnosed through multimodal imaging;however,a thrombus in the Ac occurred during the *** findings highlight that multimodal imaging is essential in diagnosing DcLV,and that anticoagulation is important in its management.

Herein,we have designed a highly active and robust trifunctional electrocatalyst derived from Prussian blue analogs,where co_(4)N nanoparticles are encapsulated by Fe embedded in N-doped carbon nanocubes to synthesize hierarchically structured co_(4)N@Fe/N-c for rechargeable zinc-air batteries and overall water-splitting *** confirmed by theoretical and experimental results,the high intrinsic oxygen reduction reaction,oxygen evolution reaction,and hydrogen evolution reaction activities of co_(4)N@Fe/N-c were attributed to the formation of the heterointerface and the modulated local electronic ***,co_(4)N@Fe/N-c induced improvement in these trifunctional electrocatalytic activities owing to the hierarchical hollow nanocube structure,uniform distribution of co_(4)N,and conductive encapsulation by Fe/***,the rechargeable zinc-air battery with co_(4)N@Fe/N-c delivers a high specific capacity of 789.9 mAh g^(-1) and stable voltage profiles over 500 ***,the overall water electrolyzer with co_(4)N@Fe/N-c achieved better durability and rate performance than that with the Pt/c and IrO2 catalysts,delivering a high Faradaic efficiency of 96.4%.Along with the great potential of the integrated water electrolyzer powered by a zinc-air battery for practical applications,therefore,the mechanistic understanding and active site identification provide valuable insights into the rational design of advanced multifunctional electrocatalysts for energy storage and conversion.

Adaptive multicolor filters have emerged as key components for ensuring color accuracy and resolution in outdoor visual ***,the current state of this technology is still in its infancy and largely reliant on liquid crystal devices that require high voltage and bulky structural ***,we present a multicolor nanofilter consisting of multilayered‘active’plasmonic nanocomposites,wherein metallic nanoparticles are embedded within a conductive polymer *** nanocomposites are fabricated with a total thickness below 100 nm using a‘lithography-free’method at the wafer level,and they inherently exhibit three prominent optical modes,accompanying scattering phenomena that produce distinct dichroic reflection and transmission ***,a pivotal achievement is that all these colors are electrically manipulated with an applied external voltage of less than 1 V with 3.5 s of switching speed,encompassing the entire visible ***,this electrically programmable multicolor function enables the effective and dynamic modulation of the color temperature of white light across the warm-to-cool spectrum(3250 K-6250 K).This transformative capability is exceptionally valuable for enhancing the performance of outdoor optical devices that are independent of factors such as the sun’s elevation and prevailing weather conditions.

Long-term outcomes of very low birth weight infants with intraventricular hemorrhage:a nationwide population study from 2011 to 2019

Background Advancements in neonatal care have increased preterm infant survival but paradoxically raised intraventricular hemorrhage(IVH)*** study explores IVH prevalence and long-term outcomes of very low birth weight(VLBW)infants in Korea over a *** Using Korean National Health Insurance data(NHIS,2010-2019),we identified 3372 VLBW infants with IVH among 4,129,808 live ***-related claims data,encompassing diagnostic codes,diagnostic test costs,and administered procedures were sourced from the NHIS *** results of the developmental assessments are categorized into four groups based on standard deviation(SD)*** characteristics and complications were compared among the *** regression models were employed to identify significant changes in the incidence of complications and to calculate odds ratios with corresponding 95%confidence intervals for each risk factor associated with mortality and morbidity in ***-term growth and development were compared between the two groups(years 2010-2013 and 2014-2017).Results IVH prevalence was 12%in VLBW and 16%in extremely low birth weight(ELBW)*** the past decade,IVH rates increased significantly in ELBW infants(P=0.0113),while mortality decreased(P=0.0225).Major improvements in certain neurodevelopmental outcomes and reductions in early morbidities have been observed among VLBW infants with *** percent of the population received surgical treatments such as external ventricular drainage(EVD)or a ventriculoperitoneal(VP)shunt,with the choice of treatment methods remaining consistent over *** IVH with surgical intervention group exhibited higher incidences of delayed development,cerebral palsy,seizure disorder,and growth failure(height,weight,and head circumference)up to 72 months of age(Pcal treatments were also significantly associated with abnormal developmental screening test *** The neurodevelopmental outcomes of infa

Distinct neutrophil populations arise during certain pathological *** generation of dysfunctional neutrophils during sepsis and their contribution to septicemia-related systemic immune suppression remain *** this study,using an experimental sepsis model that features immunosuppression,we identified a novel population of pathogenic cD200R^(high) neutrophils that are generated during the initial stages of sepsis and contribute to systemic immune suppression by enhancing regulatory T(T_(reg))*** to their cD200R^(low)counterparts,sepsis-generated cD200Rhigh neutrophils exhibit impaired autophagy and dysfunction,with reduced chemotactic migration,superoxide anion production,and TNF-α*** soluble cD200 blocks autophagy and neutrophil maturation in the bone marrow during experimental sepsis,and recombinant cD200 treatment in vitro can induce neutrophil dysfunction similar to that observed in cD200R^(high) *** administration of anα-cD200R antibody effectively reversed neutrophil dysfunction by enhancing autophagy and protecting against a secondary infection challenge,leading to increased *** analysis revealed that cD200R^(high) neutrophils expressed high levels of Igf1,which elicits the generation of Treg cells,while the administration of anα-cD200R antibody inhibited Treg cell generation in a secondary infection *** together,our findings revealed a novel cD200R^(high) neutrophil population that mediates the pathogenesis of sepsis-induced systemic immunosuppression by generating Treg cells.

The polymeric gel electrolytes are attractive owing to their higher ionic conductivities than those of dry polymer electrolytes and lowered water activity for enlarged potential ***,the ionic conductivity and mechanical strength of the Na-ion conducting polymeric gel electrolytes are limited by below 20 mS cm−1 and 2.2 ***,we demonstrate Na-ion conducting and flexible polymeric hydrogel electrolytes of the chemically coupled poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride)-dextrin-N,N′-methylene-bisacrylamide film immersed in NaclO_(4) solution(ex-DDA-Dex+NaclO_(4))for flexible sodium-ion hybrid capacitors(f-NIHc).In particular,the anion exchange reaction and synergistic interaction of ex-DDA-Dex with the optimum clO_(4)−enable to greatly improve the ionic conductivity up to 27.63 mS cm−1 at 25◦c and electrochemical stability window up to 2.6 V,whereas the double networking structure leads to achieve both the mechanical strength(7.48 MPa)and softness of hydrogel ***,the f-NIHcs with the ex-DDA-Dex+NaclO_(4) achieved high specific and high-rate capacities of 192.04 F g^(−1)at 500 mA g^(−1)and 116.06 F g^(−1)at 10000 mA g^(−1),respectively,delivering a large energy density of 120.03Wh kg^(−1)at 906Wkg^(−1)and long cyclability of 70%over 500 cycles as well as demonstrating functional operation under mechanical stresses.

To attain a circular carbon economy and resolve cO_(2)electroreduction technology obstacles,single‐atom catalysts(SAcs)have emerged as a logical option for electrocatalysis because of their extraordinary catalytic *** SAcs,metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)have been recognized as promising support materials because of their exceptional ability to prevent metal *** study shows that atomically dispersed Ni single atoms on a precisely engineered MOF nanosheet display a high Faradaic efficiency of approximately 100%for cO formation in H‐cell and three‐compartment microfluidic flow‐cell reactors and an excellent turnover frequency of 23,699 h−1,validating their intrinsic catalytic *** results suggest that crystallographic variations affect the abundant vacancy sites on the MOF nanosheets,which are linked to the evaporation of Zn‐containing organic linkers during ***,using X‐ray absorption spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations,a comprehensive investigation of the unsaturated atomic coordination environments and the underlying mechanism involving cO^(*)preadsorbed sites as initial states was possible and provided valuable insights.

Design-space adaptation method for multiobjective and multidisciplinary optimization

This paper developed a new method that adaptively adjusts a design space by considering the actual solution distribution of a problem to overcome the conventional design-space adaptation method that assumes the solutions distribution to be a normal distribution because the distributions of solutions are rarely normal distributions for real-world *** developed method was applied to nineteen multiobjective test functions that are widely used to evaluate the characteristics and performance of optimization *** results showed that this method adapted the design space to an appropriate design space where the solution existence probability was *** optimization performance achieved using the developed method was higher than that of the conventional ***,the developed method was applied to the conceptual design of an unmanned spacecraft to confirm its validity in real-world design and multidisciplinaryoptimization *** results showed that the Pareto solutions of the developed method were superior to those of conventional ***,the optimization efficiency with the developed method was improved by more than 1.4 times over that of the conventional *** this regard,the developed method has the potential to be applied to complicated real-world optimization problems to achieve better performance and efficiency.
