The polymeric gel electrolytes are attractive owing to their higher ionic conductivities than those of dry polymer electrolytes and lowered water activity for enlarged potential ***,the ionic conductivity and mechanical strength of the Na-ion conducting polymeric gel electrolytes are limited by below 20 mS cm−1 and 2.2 ***,we demonstrate Na-ion conducting and flexible polymeric hydrogel electrolytes of the chemically coupled poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride)-dextrin-N,N′-methylene-bisacrylamide film immersed in NaClO_(4) solution(ex-DDA-Dex+NaClO_(4))for flexible sodium-ion hybrid capacitors(f-NIHC).In particular,the anion exchange reaction and synergistic interaction of ex-DDA-Dex with the optimum ClO_(4)−enable to greatly improve the ionic conductivity up to 27.63 mS cm−1 at 25◦C and electrochemical stability window up to 2.6 V,whereas the double networking structure leads to achieve both the mechanical strength(7.48 mPa)and softness of hydrogel ***,the f-NIHCs with the ex-DDA-Dex+NaClO_(4) achieved high specific and high-rate capacities of 192.04 F g^(−1)at 500 mA g^(−1)and 116.06 F g^(−1)at 10000 mA g^(−1),respectively,delivering a large energy density of 120.03Wh kg^(−1)at 906Wkg^(−1)and long cyclability of 70%over 500 cycles as well as demonstrating functional operation under mechanical stresses.

The functionalities and diverse metastable phases of multiferroic BiFeO3(BFO)thin films depend on the misfit *** mixed phase-induced strain relaxation in multiphase BFO thin films is well known,it is unclear whether a singlecrystalline BFO thin film can accommodate misfit strain without the involvement of its ***,understanding the strain relaxation behavior is key to elucidating the lattice strain–property *** this study,a correlative strain analysis based on dark-field inline electron holography(DIH)and quantitative scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEm)was performed to reveal the structural mechanism for strain accommodation of a single-crystalline BFO thin *** nanoscale DIH strain analysis results indicated a random combination of multiple strain states that acted as a primary strain relief,forming irregularly strained *** STEm-based bond length measurement of the corresponding strained nanodomains revealed a unique strain accommodation behavior achieved by a statistical combination of multiple modes of distorted structures on the unit-cell *** globally integrated strain for each nanodomain was estimated to be close to􀀀1.5%,irrespective of the nanoscale strain states,which was consistent with the fully strained BFO film on the SrTiO3 *** functional theory calculations suggested that strain accommodation by the combination of metastable phases was energetically favored compared to single-phase-mediated *** discovery allows a comprehensive understanding of strain accommodation behavior in ferroelectric oxide films,such as BFO,with various low-symmetry polymorphs.

Lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries are receiving increasing attention as one of the potential next-generation batteries,owing to their high energy densities and low ***,practical Li-S batteries with high energy densities are extremely hindered by the sulfur loss,low Coulombic efficiency,and short cycling life originating from the polysulfide(LiPS)*** this study,two-dimensional(2D)ZnCo_(2)O_(4) microsheets fabricated by a facile hydrothermal process are employed to modify the separator,for improving the electrochemical performances of Li-S *** resulting 2D Zn Co_(2)O_(4)-coated separator features a coating thickness of approximately 10 lm,high ionic conductivity of 1.8 m S/cm,and low mass loading of 0.2 mg/cm^(2).This 2D ZnCo_(2)O_(4)-coated separator effectively inhibits Li PS shuttle by a strong chemical interaction with Li PS as well as promotes the redox kinetics by Zn CO2O4-coated layers,as determined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis,self-discharge,time-dependent permeation test,Li symmetric cell test,and Li2S nucleation ***,the Li-S batteries based on the 2D Zn Co_(2)O_(4)-coated separator exhibit a high initial discharge capacity of 1292.2 m Ah/g at 0.1 ***,they exhibit excellent long cycle stability at 1 and 2 C with capacity retention of 84%and 86%even after800 cycles,corresponding to a capacity fading rate of 0.020%and 0.016%per cycle,***,these Li-S cells with a high sulfur loading at 5.3 mg/cm^(2) and low electrolyte concentration of 9 l L/mg deliver a high discharge capacity of 4.99 m Ah/cm^(2) after 200 cycles at 0.1 C.

Effect of Asiasari radix on osteoblastic differentiation of stem cells derived from gingiva

OBJECTIVE: To examine the dose-dependent impact of Asiasari Radix(A. radix) on the cell viability,differentiation and mineralization of stem cells derived from ***: Stem cells that were derived from gingiva were grown in the presence of A. radix at final concentrations that ranged from 0.001 to 10 μg/m L. The morphology of the cells was viewed under an inverted microscope and the analysis of cell proliferation was performed by using Cell Counting kit-8(CCk-8) on day 1. The alkaline phosphatase activity test was used to assess differentiation and Alizarin red S staining was used to assess mineralization of treated ***: The control group showed spindleshaped, fibroblast-like morphology and the shapesof the cells in 0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 1 and 10 μg/mL of *** were similar to that of the control group at day 1. The cultures growing in the presence of0.001 μg/m L of A. radix at day 1 showed an increase in the CCk-8 value(P m L of A. radix presented the highest value for alkaline phosphatase activity(P > 0.05). mineralized extracellular deposits were observed after Alizarin Red S staining and the cultures grown in the presence of 0.001 μg/m L of A. radix showed the highest value for quantitative results for bound dye(P mits of this study, A. radix influenced the proliferation of stem cells derived from the gingiva and low concentrations of *** might enhance osteogenic differentiation of the stem cells.

Despite the safety,low cost,and high theoretical capacity(820 mA h g^(-1))of Zn metal anodes,the practical application of aqueous Zn metal batteries remains a critical challenge due to the Zn dendrite growth,corrosion,and hydrogen evolution ***,we demonstrate the mXene ink hosting Zn metal anodes(mX@Zn)for high-performance and patternable Zn metal full *** as-designed mX@Zn electrode is more facile and reversible than bare Zn and CC@Zn,as verified by better cyclic stability and lower overpotentials of symmetric cells with the plating capacity of 0.05 mA h cm^(-2)at 0.1 m A cm^(-2)and of 1 m A h cm^(-2)at 1 m A cm^(-2).The mX@Zn|mnO_(2)full cells deliver a high specific capacity of 281.9 m A h g^(-1),91.5%of the theoretical capacity,achieving 50%capacity retention from 60 mA g^(-1)to 300 mA g^(-1)and 79.7%of initial capacity after 200 ***,the patterned devices based on the mX@Zn electrode achieve high energy and power densities of 348.57 Wh kg^(-1)and 1556 W kg^(-1),respectively,along with a capacity retention of 64%and Coulombic efficiency of 99%over 500 *** high performance of mX@Zn is attributed to the high electrical conductivity and hydrophilicity of mXene and rapid ion diffusion through the 3D interconnected porous channels.

Two-week bismuth-containing quadruple therapy and concomitant therapy are effective first-line treatments for Helicobacter pylori eradication: A prospective open-label randomized trial

Effect of hyperthermia on calbindin-D 28k immunoreactivity in the hippocampal formation following transient global cerebral ischemia in gerbils

Calbindin D-28k （CB）, a Ca2＋-binding protein, maintains Ca2＋ homeostasis and protects neurons against various insults. Hyperthermia can exacerbate brain damage produced by ischemic insults. However, little is reported about the role of CB in the brain under hyperthermic condition during ischemic insults. We inves- tigated the effects of transient global cerebral ischemia on CB immunoreactivity as well as neuronal damage in the hippocampal formation under hyperthermic condition using immunohistochemistry for neuronal nuclei （NeuN） and CB, and Fluoro-Jade B histofluorescence staining in gerbils. Hyperthermia （39.5 ＋ 0.2~C） was induced for 30 minutes before and during transient ischemia. Hyperthermic ischemia resulted in neu- ronal damage/death in the pyramidal layer of CA1-3 area and in the polymorphic layer of the dentate gyrus at 1, 2, 5 days after ischemia. In addition, hyperthermic ischemia significantly decreaced CB immunoreac- tivity in damaged or dying neurons at 1, 2, 5 days after ischemia. In brief, hyperthermic condition produced more extensive and severer neuronal damage/death, and reduced CB immunoreactivity in the hippocampus following transient global cerebral ischemia. Present findings indicate that the degree of reduced CB immu- noreactivity might be related with various neuronal damage/death overtime and corresponding areas after ischemic insults.
