Mature osteoclasts degrade bone matrix by exocytosis of active prote.s.s from secretory lysosomes through a ruffled ***,the molecular mechanisms underlying lysosomal trafficking and secretion in osteoclasts remain largely ***,we.s.ow with GeneChip analysis that RUN and FYVe domain-containing protein 4(RUFY4)is strongly upregulated during *** lacking Rufy4 exhibited a high trabecular bone mass phenotype with abnormalities in osteoclast function in ***,deleting Rufy4 did not affect osteoclast differentiation,but inhibited bone-resorbing activity due to disruption in the acidic maturation of secondary lysosomes,their trafficking to the membrane,and their secretion of cathe.s.n K into the extracellular ***,RUFY4 promotes late endosome-lysosome fusion by acting as an adaptor protein between Rab7 on late endosomes and LAMP2 on primary ***,Rufy4-deficient mice were highly protected from lipopolysaccharide-and ovariectomy-induced bone ***,RUFY4 plays as a new regulator in osteoclast activity by mediating endo-lysosomal trafficking and have a potential to be.s.ecific target for therapies against bone-loss dise.s.s such as osteoporosis.

Quantized autoencoder(QAe)intrusion detection system for anomaly detection in resource-constrained loT devices using RT-loT2022 dataset

In recent years,many researche.s.focused on unsupervised learning for network anomaly detection in edge devices to identify *** deployment of the unsupervised autoencoder model is computationally expe.s.ve in resource-constrained edge *** study proposes quantized autoencoder(QAe)model for intrusion detection syste.s.to detect *** is an optimization model derived from autoencode.s.that incorporate pruning,clustering,and integer quantization *** autoencoder uint8(QAe-u8)and quantized autoencoder float16(QAe-f16)are two variants of QAe built to deploy computationally expe.s.ve Al mode.s.into edge ***,we have generated a Real-Time Internet of Things 2022 dataset for normal and attack *** autoencoder model operates on normal traffic during the training *** same model is then used to reconstruct anomaly traffic under the assumption that the reconstruction error(Re)of the anomaly will be high,which helps to identify the ***,we.s.udy the performance of the autoencode.s.QAe-u8,and QAe-f16 using accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 score through an exte.s.ve experimental *** showed that QAe-u8 outperforms all other mode.s.with a reduction of 70.01%in average memory utilization,92.23%in memory size compre.s.on,and 27.94%in peak CPU ***,the proposed QAe-u8 model is more.s.itable for deployment on resource-constrained IoT edge devices.

evaluation of red soil-bentonite mixtures for compacted clay liners

Compacted clay line.s.are an integral part of the waste landfills,which are provided to contain the leachate within the landfills and protect the.s.rrounding ***,locally available natural soils are used for the construction of compacted clay line.s.if they satisfy the design ***,not all soils in their natural state.s.tisfy all the design criteria for the liner ***,there is a definite need to modify the locally available natural soils by blending with bentonite to meet the required design criteria for the *** view of this,the present study evaluates the.s.itability of an Indian red soil enhanced with bentonite as a liner *** achieve this,a series of experiments were carried out using locally available red soil and ***,the.s.itability of the red soil was evaluated as a liner *** experimental results showed that the red soil met all the.s.lection criteria stipulated by the environmental Protection Agencies(ePAs)for the line.s.except the hydraulic conductivity ***,the red soil was mixed with bentonite contents of 10%,20%and 30%,and the red soil-bentonite mixtures were evaluated for their suitability for line.s.in their compacted ***,as the line.s.in the arid and semi-arid regions are.s.bjected to moisture variations due to se.s.nal moisture fluctuations and other factors,the red soil-bentonite mixtures were.s.bjected to wetdry cycles,and their suitability was evaluated after wet-dry *** experimental results revealed that all the red soil-bentonite mixtures met the.s.ipulated ePA criteria for the line.s.in the as-compacted ***,the red soil-bentonite mixtures with 20%and 30%bentonite contents only satisfied the hydraulic conductivity requirement even after wet-dry *** experimental findings were.s.pplemented with the microstructural insights captured through digital camera images,scanning electron microscopy(seM),and mercury intrusion porosimetry(M
