Land use and land cover(LULC)play a significant role in carbon ***-China accounts for~65%of China’s carbon *** Xishuangbanna(South-China),rubber is expanding rapidly creating an urgent need to understand and monitor LULC change and how spatial variation affects carbon storage(CS).This is vital for the formation and implementation of better land use management *** studied LULC changes of 22-year period;addressing how these changes have affected the *** quantified LULC changes between1988 and 2010 using remote sensing methods and calculated CS changes using *** showed that between 1988 and 2010,the rate of deforestation accelerated to 203.2 km^(2)y^(−1)and~23%of forest were *** of natural forest to rubber was responsible for 78%of this *** expansion rate was 153.4 km^(2)y^(−1).Changes to LULC drove a temporal CS reduction 0.223 Tg C/km^(2).Local stakeholders have strong economic interest in converting land to more profitable *** efforts is required to control land conversion through new policies and incentives to retain natural *** of specific potential land use change will be required to avoid promoting the conversion of high carbon storage land uses to low carbon storage land uses.

Although research on microplastics(MPs)interactions with other soil pollutants is increasingly becoming available,most studies do not consider risks to soil fertility or plant *** review aims:1)to summarize the results of current studies on interactions between MPs,heavy metals,and organic pollutants;and 2)subsequently evaluate risks to the soil-plant ***-literature shows that polypropylene,polyethylene and polylactic acid increase cadmium(Cd)bioavailability and subsequently reduce root *** effects are not evident in sandy or clay soils due to the formation of CdCO3 and iron-oxide by altered bacterial communities that stabilize Cd *** instead of short-term exposure to polystyrene in copper(Cu)-polluted soils decreases crop *** coexistence of MPs and lead(Pb)in soil,the uptake of Pb in crops increases,causing altered malondialdehyde content and superoxide dismutase and guaiacol peroxidase ***,co-toxicity of polystyrene or polytetrafluoroethylene with arsenic(As)decreases root biomass,photosynthesis rate and the chlorophyll-a *** alkaline soil,polyvinyl-chloride could decrease the bioavailability of MeHg due to changes in the abundance of Proteobacteria,and *** also found strong interactions between MPs and organic *** decreases negative impacts of sulfamethazine on bacterial diversity,and structure in ***,polyvinyl-chloride and polystyrene have a strong adsorption capacity for 17β-*** implies that 17β-estradiol toxicity can be reduced by these *** low concentrations,polyethylene,polypropylene,and polystyrene have low affinity to *** conclusion,serious ecological risks are associated with MPs and other pollutants'interactions to soil-plant system.

Free-living nitrogen fixation(FNF)is a ubiquitous phenomenon that plays a modest role in the(N)economy of an ***,sampling difficulties,methodological constraints and environmental controls have presented challenges for predicting the actual rate of ***,a deeper understanding of the accuracy to design models that consider dynamics,heterogeneity,influences,and other limitations is *** review presents an overview of the biology and diversity of microorganisms related to FNF as well as various ecological controls that influence these *** also discussed contributions of FNF to the N input of various ***,previous research has shown that considerable spatiotemporal variability exists in microbial types at both biome and microbiome scales,resulting in significant variation in *** this,rate of FNF is controlled by certain factors,such oxygen and metal ion availability,source of energy and soil nutrients,temperature,and *** evidence increasingly indicates a significant contribution of FNF to N inputs in natural,agricultural,and aquatic *** is inferred from this review that for the expanded exploitation of biological nitrogen fixation(BNF),we must pay additional attention to FNF because it occupies a central role within the ***,we propose a framework for the quantification of FNF alongside a suite of recommendations that would deepen our understanding of FNF.

The primary challenge of the contemporary world is to meet accelerating requirements for *** land,competition between crop and livestock farming and climate change are major *** offer a form of sustainable agriculture through the direct provision of food by raising farmers’incomes and through various ecosystem *** first essential step in adopting agroforestry is the selection of appropriate tree species that fit local *** this paper,we mapped 20 fodder trees and important crops in China using the multi-model ensemble and Ecocrop modelling *** on the intersectional concept of set theory,the fuzzy logic technique was applied to identify regions where candidate trees could be grown with appropriate crops and *** resulting models provide important insights into the climatic suitability of trees and crops and offer knowledge critical to the proper integration of trees with crops and livestock at specific *** results offer support for developing appropriate strategies regarding potential land-use within agroforestry systems in order to maximize ecosystem services and the benefits of sustainable *** outputs could easily convert into conventional maps with clearly defined boundaries for site-specific planning for tree-crop-livestock *** next step for actualizing an integrated system is to investigate specifically what these different species may contribute to the existing farming systems,quantify the benefits and estimate any possible tradeoffs.

Mycorrhizal and N-fixing root symbioses evolved at two points in the past when global CO_(2)was highest,consistent with the high demand these symbioses place on host *** hosting both mycorrhiza and N-fixing bacteria are able to fix more atmospheric CO_(2)and grow at faster rates than non-symbiotic plants,or plants with only *** argue that on the basis of this improved C capture,N-fixing trees act as C-pumps,sequestering C and locking it in biomass,thus,if properly managed,can contribute significantly towards the mitigation of rising CO_(2)levels.

利用遥感和地理信息系统,结合野外实地参与式调查,从土地利用类型和空间格局角度,对滇西北维西县塔城镇1990和1999年的土地利用变化进行综合分析。结果表明,塔城镇10年间土地利用类型和空间结构变化较小,仍以有林地为主。但高覆盖度林地、中覆盖度林地和低覆盖度林地的结构发生了变化,低覆盖度林地从9·93%增加到18·30%,增加8·37%;高覆盖度林地减少5·35%;中覆盖度林地减少5·15%,森林植被质量下降。土地利用/地表覆盖景观变化最大的区域在海拔3400m以上的塔城镇的东南角和西南角。景观多样性、优势度降低,景观破碎化程度加深,严重影响该地区滇金丝猴的栖息地。

Although the dynamic instability of microtubules(MTs)is fundamental to many cellular functions,quiescent MTs with unattached free distal ends are commonly present and play important roles in various events to power cellular ***,how these free MT tips are stabilized remains poorly ***,we report that centrosome and spindle pole protein 1(CSPP1)caps and stabilizes both plus and minus ends of static ***-time imaging of laser-ablated MTs in live cells showed deposition of CSPP1 at the newly generated MT ends,whose dynamic instability was concomitantly ***,MT ends in CSPP1-overexpressing cells were hyper-stabilized,while those in CSPP1-depleted cells were much more *** CSPP1-elicited stabilization of MTs was demonstrated to be achieved by suppressing intrinsic MT catastrophe and restricting ***,CSPP1-bound MTs were resistant to mitotic centromere-associated kinesin-mediated *** findings delineate a previously uncharacterized CSPP1 activity that integrates MT end capping to orchestrate quiescent MTs.
