This study aims to enhance automated crop detection using high-resolution Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)imagery by integrating the Visible Atmospherically Resistant Index(VARI)with deep learning *** primary challenge addressed is the detection of bananas interplanted with betel nuts,a scenario where traditional image processing techniques struggle due to color similarities and canopy *** research explores the effectiveness of three deep learning models—Single Shot MultiBox Detector(SSD),You Only Look Once version 3(YOLOv3),and Faster Region-Based Convolutional Neural Network(Faster RCNN)—using Red,Green,Blue(RGB)and VARI images for banana *** show that VARI significantly improves detection accuracy,with YOLOv3 achieving the best performance,achieving a precision of 73.77%,recall of 100%,and reduced training time by 95 ***,the average Intersection over Union(IoU)increased by 4%–25%across models with VARI-enhanced *** study confirms that incorporating VARI improves the performance of deep learning models,offering a promising solution for precise crop detection in complex agricultural environments.

五价钼可用作库仑滴定剂,在4.5M硫酸,0.1M钼酸铵之混合介质中,电流密度在每平方厘米1毫安到10毫安之间;或在3M硫酸,0.05M钼酸铵介质中,电流密度在每平方厘米3毫安至7毫安之间,电流效率均可达到100%.我们用五价钼测定了高价的铈、铬和钒.测定在室温进行,空气中的氧不干扰测定.当铈、铬和钒的量分别在12.3毫克0.05—2.5毫克和0.5—2.5毫克范围内时,误差均在0.2%以内.铜离子对测定有干扰,但通入氮气后干扰可以消除.

The growth, activation and deposition of corrosion products are the primary sources of radiation buildup on the surface of out-of-core piping in nuclear power plants. The buildup of radiation can have negative effects on the performance of the facility and cause harm to staff during maintenance outages for refueling. This paper reports on the crystalline and amorphous structures of corrosion products sampled in the boiling water reactors in nuclear power plants of Kuo-Sheng and identified using an acid dissolving technique. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microprobe and inductively coupled plasmaatomic emission spectroscopy were used to analyze the samples. The results indicate that the quantity of amorphous iron oxide at inlet of the condensate demineralizer in Unit 2 is higher than that in Unit 1. The proportion of crystalline to amorphous corrosion products can affect the efficiency of removal. Thus, these results can be used to explain the difference in removal efficiency of condensate demineralizers in different units. Moreover, the iron oxide structures with various properties were observed in different operational periods. It is probable that the higher proportion of amorphous structures with a smaller particle size would reduce efficiency in the removal of condensate demineralization in Unit 2.

Objective:To investigate the effect of M3P(containing Deer antler,Cordyceps sinensis,Rhodiola rosea,and Panax ginseng);an herbal remedy with the function of tonifying Kidney(Shen)and invigorating Spleen(Pi),replenishing qi and nourishing blood;on fatigue alleviation,endurance capacity and ***:Swimming with weight-loading of 24 male ICR mice was used to evaluate the endurance capacity,and fatiguerelated plasma biomarkers were *** were randomly assigned to control or M3P treatment groups with 6 mice for each group and were orally administered with M3P everyday for 8 weeks at doses 0,10,33 or 100 mg/*** time to exhaustion was measured in a specialized water *** and kidney functions,body weight,and hematological profile were determined to evaluate the safety and toxicity after long-term M3P ***:M3P supplementation 100 mg/kg significantly increased swimming endurance time up to approximate 2.4 folds of controls(P0.05).The liver and kidney functions muscle damage biomarker creatine,body weight,and hemograms were not altered in M3P supplementation(P>0.05).Conclusion:M3P supplementation may improve swimming endurance accompanied by increasing hepatic glycogen content and serum cortisol level without major toxicity.

This paper presents a corrosion assessment of copper spent nuclear fuel disposal canisters in crystalline rock,using hydrogeological modeling.A simplified approach is considered,to avoid complex and time-consuming computer *** simplified case is presented as a base case,with changes in the hydrogeological parameters presented as variant *** results show that in Taiwan’s base case,decreasing the hydraulic conductivity of the rock or decreasing the hydraulic conductivity of dikes results in a shorter transport path for sulfide and an increase in corrosion ***,the estimated canister failure time is still over one million years in the variant cases.

Population aging has developed into a significant area of concern in developed countries, especially in relation to thepreservation of functional independence and the quality of life (QoL). However, information on the contribution ofsex differences in quality of life and cognitive function is scarce. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate potentialdifferences in cognitive function and QoL between males and females. For this study, we recruited 382 healthy subjectsaged 19–79 years from communities in Southern Taiwan region,China. Cognitive function and QoL were assessed using the UCSD Performance-based Skills Assessment, Brief Version (UPSA-B) and World Health Organization Quality ofLife Instruments (WHOQOL-BREF), respectively. The effects of sex, age groups, and interaction of sex and ageon the UPSA-B and WHOQOL-BREF scores were examined. We found that the financial and communicationdomains of the UPSA-B showed declining trends with age in both sexes, although these trends were more obviousin females than in males. In the domain of Physical Capacity, QoL showed an age-increased trend in males, whileQoL in the Environment domain showed an age-increased trend in females. Regarding the relationships betweencognitive function and QoL, we found that the financial skill and communication skill of UPSA-B was positivelycorrelated to the psychological well-being domain of WHOQOL-BREF, in males of age <40 years. In conclusion,our findings demonstrate differential relationships between cognitive function and QoL between males and females,which could serve as a basis for further study between cognitive function and quality of life in communities.

AIM:To develop an automated model for subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT)detection in optical coherence tomography(OCT)images,addressing manual fovea location and choroidal contour ***:Two procedures were proposed:defining the fovea and segmenting the *** localization from B-scan OCT image sequence with three-dimensional reconstruction(LocBscan-3D)predicted fovea location using central foveal depression features,and fovea localization from two-dimensional en-face OCT(LocEN-2D)used a mask region-based convolutional neural network(Mask R-CNN)model for optic disc detection,and determined the fovea location based on optic disc relative *** segmentation also employed Mask ***:For 53 eyes in 28 healthy subjects,LocBscan-3D’s mean difference between manual and predicted fovea locations was 170.0μm,LocEN-2D yielded 675.9μ***-2D performed better in non-high myopia group(P=0.02).SFCT measurements from Mask R-CNN aligned with manual ***:Our models accurately predict SFCT in OCT ***-3D excels in precise fovea localization even with high ***-2D shows high detection rates but lower accuracy especially in the high myopia *** both models offers a robust SFCT assessment approach,promising efficiency and accuracy for large-scale studies and clinical use.
